Names quandry...

Hi everyone!

I'm a tad disappointed that this time round, I couldn't find out what sex my baby is. Edinburgh health authority are really tight & only give you a 12 wk scan.

I already have a Noah & a Jude. We are settled on Gabriel (known as Gabe) for a boy, but a girls name is proving more illusive.

Matilda is the only one we both like, but I'm not dead set on it as I was with Noah, Jude & am with Gabe.

I quite like Anna or Annie (DH hates them, an ex of his was Annie, so I guess they're out) & did like Hayley, until another Mum at Noah's nursery said "yeah, I like it, but I think of Hayley in Coronation St..."

Another thing is that I think they may be a bit "ordinary" No offence to anyone with Anna's, Annie's or Hayley's.. I think they're gorgeous names, but I'm not sure if they go with Noah & Jude..

Really like Lois, but she'd be Lois Lane & maybe that would be a bit cruel???

I LOVE all those names & have suggested them, but they have been vetoed by DH on the grounds of being "Too Pony Club..."

All the girls names I like are apparently "Too Pony Club" & all the boys names are "Too Gay" Still haven't convinced him that Jude is not a girl's name :teehee: Noah is the only one we actually agreed on. Have really dug my heels in about Gabriel though, because I love it so much!

He's such a stereotypical Aussie. Maybe he would go for Bruce or Sheila??:rolleyes:

ETA - Jules, I like Lola too, & that's what Noah wants to call it if it's a girl, after Charlie & Lola!

if he's a typical aussie he'll go with shannon or kerry for a boy :wink: or try him with taylah or kaylah :yeahright: or ava for a girl...

that's what EVERYONE round here is calling theirs!
