Hi all, not sure of this is in the right place or not - sorry if not.

Some of you may have seen a thread a started earlier this week after I had a horrible day and then started spotting. The spotting has continued on and off until this morning when it became more constant. I had my booking appointment anyway so went along to that. I spoke to the (lovely) midwife who reassured me that it was very common and that she would send me for an early scan to make sure everything was ok. So I went home feeling more reassured. Bleeding then started to get more heavy so called my gp who told me to come in and she would see me. She had a poke around and said that even though the flow was quite heavy the fact that I had no pain was a good sign. She then phoned the EPAU and said (in her words) 'I will badger them until they agree to scan you tomorrow'
I went home and then she called me to say that she hadn't been able to arrange one tonight as they had all gone home but had left a message with the receptionist who promised to phone me first thing but if we didn't hear anything by 11am then to call them myself. So I should get a scan tomorrow.
Still not having any pain just mild discomfort (nothing I haven't had already) so got my fingers crossed, but if anybody has any spare sticky vibes please send them my way xxxx

Hiya

I had 3 episodes of bleeding with my first pregnancy and it is very scarey. Sounds as if your GP is very switched on.

Fingers crossed that everything settles itself down.

Hi girls.
Well its bad news from me. I woke up this morning at 3am as I was bleeding heavily and passing clots, called work and spoke to a nurse who said she would put the call through to the gp who sent an ambulance to take me to the EPAU. When I got there they took bloods etc and admitted me to a ward to wait for a scan. Eventually got there (the porter took me to the wrong place) and was given a scan which was inconclusive so I had an internal one (nice) and was told that I was having a miscarriage. Was told that I could go home so went back to the ward to be discharged but when I got there the consultant said that I needed to go to surgery and have a d&c. I've just got home, feeling very tired and sore andc emotional but I think I'd already accepted what was happening.
So I'm bowing out for the moment, I just want to say thanks you so much for all the support and advice you lovely girls have given me over the past few weeks. I'll still be checking in and following all your progress and I'm wishing you all happy and healthy pregnancies.
Lots of love and hugs,
Jen xxxx
