View Full Version : Overdue ladies how are you feeling today?

I have a really bad cough at the minute and my stomach muscles are sore.

Plus I have strange pains in the top of my thighs and I am weeing constantly at the mo

My mum has decided that the baby will arrive on sunday tho she does says this slightly tongue in cheek as she has no idea and has no real desire to drive me insane thank god.

MIL did NOT call last night so she must have a) taken the hint that I was pissed off or
b) spoke to SIL who told her I was pissed off and that she shouldn't call anymore with her strange demands.

At least we all know that the babies WILL be born within the next 13 days and that has to be a good thing.

Have you all decided on names?

We are still stuck on boys names but we have given up talking about it and will cross that bridge when we get to it really.
Hope you all have a relaxing afternoon unless of course you go into labour (we need a smilie for that one  )

That's the thing that's keeping me going now! :ellie: I can't wait to meet my baby and was so disappointed when my due date came and went - although I always knew that that would the only day when he wouldn't arrive!

Feeling fairly positive today but have really sharp pains in my pelvis, think it's because of sleeping awkwardly. :-( How is everyone else sleeping? Are you sleeping?!!

Have unplugged the phone today, I know people care and are just interested but I'm so fed up of being asked if I have any news yet! As if I'm going to have the baby and not tell anyone!

MIL and FIL just turned up unexpected at the house to check that I wasn't in labour :hissyfit: I am slobbing around today as I had been cleaning up and of course this was commented on :hissyfit: :hissyfit:

They are away tomorrow afternoon for the weekend and DH's sister has left today to go to her bloody caravan so if it wasn't for our neighbours offering to help then we would be completely stuck in an emergency.

I am sure Dylan would love to be in the birthing suite with me if I am rushed to the hospital :hissyfit:

Then MIL said that if it comes this weekend that she will drop by after 10PM on Sunday night for a visit and I said "ah no you won't because if the baby is here already then we will be in bed sleeping" Silly old bint is driving me insane

I'm still here and don't think beanette has any intention of shifting for a few days yet. James is acting up a lot - in a cute way though. He's constantly asking for hugs and kisses out of the blue :lurve: which is very cute and he wants me to read to him constantly..... Thank goodness my mummy arrived for another 4 day visit today. I've decided that I'm happy to labour this weekend - mum can look after James and DH can be with me so :fingerscrossed: it will happen. Not holding out that much hope though as her head is still very high. I'm off to my pregnancy yoga class this evening so won't be around later
Chat tomorrow

I'm here

I really thought something might happen today, as had a big jelly-ish blob of discharge last night (although no blood in it), and then I woke up at about 5am with a dull ache that came and went a few times. Have had a few sharp 'take your breath away' twinges today, but alas, I am still here

I've been having those sharp pains in the tops of my thighs for the past few weeks, they kill don't they!?!

Andie, your MIL is driving me mad (on your behalf) and I don't even know her :hissyfit:

P.S. I'm wonderong if something might kick off tonight thopugh, because it was the night Big Brother started last year that I went into labour with Dixie

I'm still here!

Shamu's had her baby, what about Andie & Brooke - are you both still here or am I the only one left now?! :sigh:

Have been trying everything to get this baby to budge but somehow I don't think he'll ever be persuaded to come out of his own accord!!:happyno:

I am still here as well.

The county where we live had a powercut last night for about 2 hours and this has meant that our internet has been down all day as well.

Dh has said that bubs can come tomorrow evening as he si ready now as the garden etc is finished

He came home early today so that he could get the food shopping done as well

Yep 2 days over now - I went a week over with Dixie, but am hoping that I won't go that far over - thought my uterus might be a bit slack

My OH has just seen 3 magpies outside though, and they're the only things I'm superstitious about (3 for a girl, 4 for a boy etc) so fingers crossed they are trying to tell me something!! Have also been on my hands and knees scrubbing the floors this afternoon :vacuuming: (closest I could find to a scrubbing floors smiley!!)

God, the waiting is driving me maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad :hissyfit:

brewgirl, when will you next get your bp checked?

brewgirl, when will you next get your bp checked?

MW is coming out to me at home tomorrow to check it and have to go to the day care unit at the hospital on monday to have a BP profile done (where they monitor my bp constantly for an hour) so they are being pretty thorough.

Come and chat to us that are left to pop in the may mummies thread. We are all :hissyfit: :hissyfit: :hissyfit:    :hissyfit: :hissyfit: :hissyfit:

Hope the magpie thing turns out to be true for you very soon!

Hope all you overdue ladies are doing OK.

Just to say that my Mum saw 4 magpies while on the way to the hospital to have my sister so that's one thing I never pay attention to.

Look forward to some news of someone popping soon.

Had loads of Braxton Hicks earlier, which were giving me a backache, but nothing developed

I'm dreading actually having to go for my appt with the consultant on Thurs if I've still not given birth :sigh:

Sorry for whinging!

Sadly I am still here as well and I too have an appointment on Thursday with the mw. i am ptaying that I don't have to go.

The hysterical laughing as Finland won the eurovision only caused the odd braxton hicks and I thought oh here we go but then i went to bed and it all stopped.

Ah well guess I just have to get on with it really this wee one likes its home comforts obviously. Maybe that means it will be a good sleeper

I am really pleased for Brooke and its such a pretty name but now I want to get it over and done with now as well.

I am trying to remain positive but I am borderline emotional at the moment and I just want to meet my baby.

Sorry for the self indulgent post and :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :ellie: :ellie: :ellie: for Brooke and Lola

Don't feel bad about it Andie - I'm due 2 weeks today and very jealous and fed up

It will be your turn really soon :ellie:

Just spoil yourself as much as you can before it all happens. And if you want to have a good :hissyfit:  :talk: :hair: then just let it all out - you never know it might start you off!

Take care,
