.....chill it without it all sticking together??

I want to make a cold seafood pasta for my lunch today, but can never manage to cook it, then chill it, without it all clogging together.

Iv heard something about swishing it in cold water, and have tried that before, but that doesnt seem to work.

What am I doing wrong?

I usually find if you stir something in like a bit of mayo or olive oil when it's cooked it stops it sticking. Can't think of any other way as the starch in the pasta is what makes it stick. Hope that helps.

Hi,
Do you ever add a few drops of olive oil to the boiling water whent he pasta is i?
That's what I do, and the pasta never sticks as the oil makes it a bit more *slippery* IYSWIM?!

Iv got my pasta boiling away now, so have just added a touch of olive oil. I usually do add OO but after I have drained it. Will try it this way instead.

Hope it works!

Thanks guys xx

running under cold water once the pasta is cooked will also help then add a small bit of olive oil

Apparently the trick is to put it whilst still warm in a little plastic bag (eg freezer bag). A friend does this and it "seems" to work....
