I have had the cr@piest day ever. I thought i was starting work at 3 (i've had lots of changed to my rota for the next few weeks and was POSITIVE that was when i was due to start) so I left for work as normal. Literally got to just before my work place and I stalled the car near a roundabout. Tried to start it up but nothing. Had to put the hazards on and readched for my mobile, only to find out I'd left it at home. :fuming: Anyway, eventually a nice man pulled over and pushed the car onto the verge and had a look at it for me but said hat it was something for my breakdown to sort out. Had to walk 15 mins to get to work and when I got there (feeling very stressed) they told me I shouldn't have been in until 6. Cue lots of tears from me http://forums.handbag.com/images/smilies/redface.gif so my lovely supervisor took me aside and calmed me down a bit. I'm very emotional at the mo anyway. They drove me back to the car as I'd left all the breakdown details in my glove box (double :fuming: ) and I called them and arranged for them to come out at 10pm. Carried on with work (also being told that my job 'may' be at risk. So not very happy.) Anyway, I went to the loo and then found out that I'd started bleeding, cue lots more tears from me. My supervisor took me aside (again http://forums.handbag.com/images/smilies/redface.gif ) and arranged for me to speak to one of the midwives at work - I work with a lot of nurses and midwives although none of them know I'm pregnant. I talked it over with her and told her that I've not got many pregnancy symptoms and now started bleeding. She was lovely and made me realise that I've not exactly lost symptoms as I never really had that many to start with. She said that I needed to go home and rest. So got back onto the breakdown people who said they'd come out straight away and my supervisor waited with me until they arrived. No now I'm at home stressing about the bleed - although it does appear to be slowing right down. The midwife did say that it could be stress related and if it gets worse or i get pain them to call the emergency gp or my midwife.

Sorry for the rant, its just been a horrible day and needed to vent. Thanks for listening!

Oh no squidgell, What a horrible day!

That's scary about the bleeding, I hope everything is ok for you I really do. At least you're surrounded by people who can give good advice but if you're really worried, why don't you speak to your GP in the morning and see if you can get a scan? It would be worth it to put your mind at rest.

I hope you are ok and have an ok night. I hope the car doesn't cost you too much either.

Oh Squidgell, what a nightmare day :hugs: I'd love to say don't worry about the bleed, but I know it's not that easy. Maybe if it's still going in the morning, you need to see if there's an EPU (early pregnancy unit) at your local hosp, who can arrange a scan? I know lots of women on another board I use (not HB) who bled during the early stages of pg, and now have healthy babies.

The other stuff, your car and job, although worrying, are unimportant compared to your health right now, and worrying about them won't change the circumstances, so you need to try to forget about these things as much as poss, and get some much deserved rest.

I hope things get better for you! xxx

Oh dear what a crap day . I know exactly how you are feeling re the bleed. I know its pointless to say dont worry because thats impossible. I bled early on too around 6 ,9 & 12 weeks. My doc arranged for me to attend the EPU and I had scans at each of these bleeds. Everything is still going fine with me now so it IS possible to bleed and not miscarry. I really hope you have a better day tomorrow. Try and rest up and relax if poss .

Awww that is not a rant at all - what a terrible day.
I would get yourself sorted at the EPU like the others have said sot you can get some much needed reassurance

Thanks girls. I'm still bleeding a bit although it has eased a lot. Still having no pain. I'm going to see how I go overnight and then maybe call my midwife in the morning (although I've not actually met her yet - booking in appointment is thursday). My gp is useless and I've self refered myself to the birthing unit place anyway. I'll see how it goes. Thanks again xx
