Anyone remember my Spider Problem?
Well, as they tend to eat each other :zombie: I have left a couple unmolested in the ensuite and one in particular is the unchallenged vile spider champion, eating all her opposition:eating: right through the winter. I won't say that I'm fond of her (I'm not!) but she does seem to keep the others under control and we've come to an understanding whereby she stays up on the ceiling and doesn't do anything creepy, and I don't send DH up there with some loo roll and a determined expression. :swfight:
Alas, now it's summer I realise my mistake. Though Shelob (as I call her) has got through quite a few spiders this winter, many of them just ran away and have spent the winter hanging around outside the bathroom window. :rain2: Now it's summer again :sun:and it's a bit hot and crispy out there they are venturing back in to the bathroom where it is nice and cool and damp. I had 11 spiders camping out on my bathroom ceiling yesterday. :tent: Shelob is eyeing them hopefully, but meantime they have started to breed.
So - since we last talked, has anyone come up with any good anti-spider measures? I think the best one last time was to spray them with hairspray and set light to them, but I did a web search (ha ha) for spider removal methods and it came up with a news item of someone who burned their house down doing this so I may have to give that one a miss.
