I am amazed that I have nearly 5,100 clucard points this 1/4!!!! :cheer2: I have used the odd 1,000 extra points coupon but I am really making a concious effort to go to Tesco for petrol and groceries.

Hoping to save up and go to New York with deals tokens. This lot will give me £204 in deals  Hopefully I can get a cheap holiday in a year or 18 months time....

How many points do you have and what are you saving for?

Lewps xx

I have no idea how to use my points  I have only been collecting them for the past 8 or 9 months as I used to live abroad.
How do you save and use them then? I have had vouchers etc through and used them, but what about the points?

Hi Lou!

You get issued vouchers 4 times a year and then can trade them in for Deals which are worth 4 x the value of the vouchers. So in theory 1000 points is worth £10 if you redeemed them in a Tesco store or £40 if you exchanged them for deals.

Go to www.tesco.com/clubcard (http://www.tesco.com/clubcard) and have a mouche!

Hope you and little bump are well xx

I had been spending mine in store  but have now started holding onto them to convert to clubcard deals. Once i've got my next lot through i'll send away for 'Days out' vouchers which we can use on holiday :thumb:

Anyone know if the days out vouchers come as 1 voucher for the full value or if they give you it in smaller value vouchers? I want to use them for a couple of different places but if they just send 1 voucher for the full value then its not going to be worthwhile as I wouldn't get any change from it.

It looks like you order the particular voucher you want i.e. Adult Legoland or child Legoland etc... heres the info page (http://www.tesco.com/clubcard/deals/)

Ours get converted automatically to BA miles. Once I have enought to go somewhere decent I'm going to stop this and go for the conversion to 'deals' instead I think.

I've managed to get about 50,000 BA miles this way in 9 months, through using lots of 1000 points codes. I don't do an online shop without a code.

Well, I only recently found out about the deals thing (they don't promote this enough), so before that, I was spending the vouchers. Since my PND took a hold, I've done most of my shopping at Tesco online, and this quarter, I'm up to almost 5000 points! :ellie: I was almost :faint: when I worked out the value of that in deals!

Not sure what we'll do with them as yet, maybe save them up, and put them towards a new MFI kitchen, or having a blinding summer with loads of days out!

But the first thing I'm going to do is buy myself a BBC Good Food mag subscription - I'm so excited :teehee:

I have just been spending them instore. I didnt realise it was such good value to trade them tho. Do you post them off to convert them ? Just wondered because I thought they had an expiry date on ?

I think you just dont spend them to save them up. I was trying to find this out last night. On the website it says the vouchers last 2 years, so I guess you have to use your points within 2 years too... its not really clear on the website

Thanks girls. We are often staying away for nights at hotels so I guess they would come in very handy for that. I might phone them tomorrow if I remember.

Well I am the clubcard queen!

Been collecting them for ages and using the codes for 1000 points for every shop I do online which is all of my shopping!

We were collecting them for a sofa from MFI but spent them on our bedroom furniture. Got his http://www.mfi.co.uk/mfi/productinfo.asp?CT=/1550/YourBedroom/FreestandingIdeas/Contemporary&CT=/2159/Your%20Bedroom/Freestanding%20Ideas/Contemporary/JavaDark&CT=*

We have not got 2 robes, 2 bedside cabnets, the ottoman, 3 drawer chest and a king size bed FOR NOTHING!!!! :ellie: :ellie:

AND with this statement we have just ordered a dishwasher!!!!! :ellie: I love going in there and spending money but it not costing us anything!

So now we are saving them up for a holiday aboard next year. They do deals with cosmos so we can get a package hoilday. So next year we can transfer them all over and go in and say we have x amount where can we go!!! So excited already!

Steph have all your voucher codes went through ok? I read somewhere (poss MSE??) a while back that Tesco were starting to clamp down on these codes and a few people had their points deducted at a later date so I've been wary of using them.

Just to let peeps know that as most of us are parents, it might be worth looking at this kids range: http://www.mfi.co.uk/mfi/productinfo.asp?CT=%2F1420%2FYourBedroom&CT=%2F1440%2FYourBedroom%2FKids&CT=%2F1440%2FYourBedroom%2FKids%2FLittleAlbany&CT=%2A

It's still fairly pricey for the cot in the sale, and you have to buy the changing unit & chest, but when you think you're actually only paying a quarter of the price it isn't too bad.

Redtiger - once I had a code which wasn't allowed, at it showed on my delivery statement - I suspect it was a £5 off your first order one. I've never had any problems since -see the thread I started on Tesco codes, loads of people collect codes off the net.

OMG!!! I just thought I'd check my balance, and I now have about half the points I had last week, so I wonder if they have removed some!

I haven't had any correspondence or anything, but not sure if I dare ask - what do you think?

Surely there is no law against using codes which are given out to the public?

Stephi103

sparkliness you sure its not that they have taken them off because they are ready to send out your vouchers as the quarter finished at the end of april and now we are in a new one.

Don't worry, that has happened to me too, but today my BA miles balance went up by 15000 :ellie:

Sparkliness I wouldn't imagine there was any kind of law against it as such but the codes can often be issued to specific customers and i've read about people using codes they got from the net then having the points deducted because they weren't entitled to use the code but it might just be those that completely take the p!** that are being targeted?? I only do an online shop maybe once every couple of months and have never had a problem with the codes - I have always wondered if Tesco keep any track of your account and monitor the codes you use.

Phew! I emailed them, and they replied to say that it was indeed that some had been converted to vouchers - I've just accumulated quite a lot this month which is why it looked like my balance had halved :cheer2:

I just use mine in store. I recently looked at the airmiles, but with loads of vouchers + the money top up to fly to Barcelona we would have been spending about 4x the amount in money as going through someone else. Double check the deals before you use them.

Oh & as for Legoland. Check out www.lastminute.com (http://www.lastminute.com) . They have Legoland tickets for £12 each (instead of £30). Just incase those of you who mentioned it don't want to use up your points.

Ok I got £10.50  :teehee: Still, will get me the days out vouchers I want for my hols! I still have another £8 or so in the drawer too so should pay for a couple of days out if I exchange them.

I will start doing more online shops with codes - maybe I can 'save' for something big

Well, I cashed in £15 worth of mine last night (so easy as you can d it online now). Used £5 to get a £20 for adventure wonderland, that will pay for 2 adult tickets to get in as DS is free!!! Cheap day out.

The othe £10 I traded in for a £40 Planet hollywood voucher. I'm off to london next weekend so thought me and my mum could stop there for lunch!!!

Still got £70+ left and got 1000 points on my online shop last night!!!!
