I've bever used one before (all my baking things are silicone) and I've just made a cake in my new springform tin and it leaked a little while baking. Is this usual or is mine crap? I used it to make the Baileys cheesecake but that didn't involve baking so it's the first time it's been in the oven.

I can't see a way of making it fit any tighter either.

Just a little bit round the edge of the base

This happens to one of mine - a little bit drips out before it seals itself as the cake is cooking. I reckon it's because I dropped the tin as I was putting it in the car just after I bought it. It's just made the seal a bit out.
