Ok this is most likely paranoia on my part but I had to check!! When I got back today I did another pg test - basically I found out I was pg at 3+5 and obviously won't see bubs til 12 weeks and am now in panic mode that something could be wrong. Anyway it was a positive but seemed a lot more feint than others of the same brand that I have done. Does this mean I might have had a missed m/c and not know about it and only have a bit of the hcg hormone left or could it have been the time of day (early afternoon)????
I'm still quite nauseous (and had hearburn today too) and obviously have no af but it's puzzling me why I should suddenly get a less strong +tive.

I think the hormone levels (HCG?) can reduce as pregnancy becomes more established - but could be talking total nonsense about that.
As you're still full of symptoms, I would suggest it could be that your wee wasn't the early morning wee with plenty of PG hormones. Test again in the morning if that would help?

Agree with above. Try not to worry.

I did this too and was worried because the line was very faint. Don't worry, the hormone levels do level off after a bit. It just seems so LONG until that 12 week scan, doesn't it? You've not got long to go though, hang on in there.

Yes, I understand the HCG levels do tail of as the pregnancy progresses but I am not sure when that happens. I doubt very much it is a missed m/c if you are still having symptoms, no bleeding or pain. It could well be the time of day as your wee is more diluted isn't it from drinking during the day so won't produce such a strong result.

Hi Lois  Good to see you back.
I couldn't read and not post but I know exactly what you are going through (Am 6+1 and found out very early like you) I have been stressing about things so much that I have booked a private viability scan for a week on Tuesday. Its costing £95 but DH has said that he would pay double for my piece of mind.
Am constantly tweaking my nips to check that they still hurt

 Wlcome back Lois
Different tests have different sensitivity, even if they are exactly the same brand. 'A positive is a positive' as we used to say in TTC, and tbh I really don't think the strength of the line means much other than sensitivity of test/ time and dilution of wee.
I know its incredibly easy to say and hard ot do, but try not to worry.
