** mods pls do not move - wanting info from other bpf-ers **
Hello ladies (new and old)
Just wondered when you got your bfp, which pg test did you use? I've seen some tests that I don't recognise, (Accuclear and Predictor) but they're cheaper so just wondered if anyone had used them and had any opinions?

You're not pregnant are you :teehee:
I used Clearblue Digital, the only other one I used was First Response, which never gave me a positive.
Oops I also used Boots own which were fab.

Well, we'll see. If the line turns blue, then it turns blue. I'm kinda liking this stay at home business anyway! DH is absolutely convinced that I'll not need a test. But then he said the same last June too...
Just wish I'd had time to shift the excess from the last one! :doughnuts: There might be time yet.

What do you think? Too good to be true?

I used some cheapy ones from there (not the Accuclear ones) and they came up with a very very faint line, I then tried a clearblue (not digital) and it came up very strong straight away. The cheapy ones have only just started showing a proper line (I tested again earlier in the week in a bit of a panic   ) but I know that other people have had strong positives with them straight away. Sorry if I sound confusing!!

I voted other and clearblue.
I had bought some of those dipstick ones from ebay and got 3 BFP's but i didn't believe them so i went out and bough a Sainsburys own (again BFP) and then back out again and bought a Clear Blue  OBVIOUSLY they were all BFP's but i STILL didn't believe i was pg so insisted my GP did a test too
I used clearblue.. 5 times... Why is it you never believe the first 4 tests ???

i used a test out of the pound shop..and got BFP but then the same day i got a BFN from my dr..:scratchchin:
The first hint I got was a +ve OPK stick from a digital fertility monitor then a First Response the next morning and a clearblue digital for my OH he didn't believe the others so i got one that said PREGNANT on it!!! Then a few other normal Clearblue ones as I had them from the study I was on.

** mods pls do not move - wanting info from other bpf-ers **Sweetie, this is Damsels - there's no need to be paranoid! First of all, there's only me doing any modding. Secondly, even if I think a thread does need moving (which I don't think this one does) I don't move it until it's had at least a few answers.
Life is pretty chilled here, you know! :meditate:
I voted Clear Blue, btw.

Thank you everyone for taking the time to read (and more importantly reply to) my post.
Guess Clearblue is leading the way. Do you think it's because it's the most well known brand?
Haven't been out and bought a test yet  will probably nip to the chemist tom!

Chickened out  didn't buy one. I want to know, but I don't want to know, IYKWIM. Have told DH I'll nip to Tescos tom. I'm only a few days late and who knows if my cycle is a normal one...?
DH joked that I should hurry up and find out, then we can change Olivia's Christening and have a double one instead

i used the 3 in a pack jobs from poundland - did the job just fine!
not quite as easy as some (you need to dip the stick in a little pot of wee rather than wee on a stick, but tbh didnt make a blind bit of difference to me. a bfp is a bfp!
good luck hope you get the result you want!!!

I used a Superdrug one, cos it was cheap.
ETA - Your cycle could well be messed up, and it's quite normal for your hormones etc to make you feel as though you're pregnant again not long after having a baby. I was CONVINCED I was when Niamh was about 3 months old, and was crapping myself but I wasn't in the end. I've heard a lot of people say the same thing too.

I used 1st response because I wanted to test before AF was due and it worked straight away - followed by another 2 1st responses and 2 more clear blues
can you tell I couldn't quite believe it!!!
I think I used 1st response as, as far as I know its the only one that can tell you so early and clear blue because as you say it's the best known brand!
I too paniced that I may / may not have been pg again but AF arrived when Thomas was 11 weeks, I was sooooooooo close to buying a test but know what you mean about being too scared to.
Hope you get the result you want :thumb:

I used Boots own brand and Asda own brand. Cheapskate that I am. They worked fine, although I didn't test until AF was late.

Thought I better post on my own poll  I used an Acon Early Detection One Step Ultra Pregnancy Test. Dead simple and above all - cheap! Will be using a Clearblue tom though just to double check.
