Just had the BESTEST night

My brother and sister came round for an impromptu visit tonight, I was expecting to see my sis but not my bro as he lives 80 miles away and tbh we're not very close.

I cooked mac cheese and made muffins and we all sat down and ate together, for the first time in probably 10 years unless you count my weddings.

We chatted and caught up and reminisced and then decided on the spur of the moment to go out to a gig, DH was playing and I got to show him off as bro and sis have never seen him play. They were really impressed and we just had the loveliest night. I felt like we're part of a proper family. (Our family is really dysfunctional). It was just lovely, I hope we can do it again. Just wanted to share :grin: :ellie: :grin: :ellie:

Yay! Sounds great, it's lovely to catch up when you haven't seen family for a while.

Impromptu nights like that are often the best - you don't have time to think about any negatives and just enjoy the moment!

Allsorts Prubear, his current passion is Funk/Jazz fusion. but he is a terribly talented chap and I'm proud to say he can turn his hand to just about anything:grin: he mainly plays bass but can also play guitar pretty well.
