Does anyone know how you go about setting the BT answermachine up on your phone?

I could have sworn that last time I just rang 1571 and you can set it up from there but it's jsut saying now that I haven't got it set up (new phone number btw) :puzzled:

Help anyone please!! I'm tired of getting yelled at by friends as I don't have an answering machine (and am normally too bone idle to run for the phone :teehee:)

I set mine up using the BT website. There's a section on the website how to do it too http://www.1571.bt.com/

You can ring 151 (customer services) and they will set it up for you... after you press a million buttons to get to the right dept :lol:

or maybe that number is 150 :puzzled: (Im having a total blonde day today :teehee: )

How do I get it?

BT Answer 1571 is free, but you need to sign up for it. You can do this online or call us on Freefone 0800 800 150 and we'll set everything up. Alternatively, dial 1571 from your home number (the one you wish to use for BT Answer 1571) and an automated service will talk you through the order process.

You see this is what I thought as well but all I get is "you do not have 1571 service set up on this phone................you do not have 1571 service set up on this phone............etc etc etc" I KNOW THAT!!!!!!!!!! :rolleyes:

Off to phone them now.
