Just a quick question...Joshua is just over 3 months old, he's a good boy, sleeps through and is very happy. I make him up 7oz bottles because he was draining the 6oz ones. Anyway when he's drunk like 4oz he starts playing with the teat so i sit him up wind him etc then when i try giving him the rest he kicks up a right stink, won't take the bottle and occasionly will start whinging, when he's got it in his mouth again after 5 mins of fighting with him he'll drink the rest??Any ideas as to why he does it??Is he the only one or do other mummys have this problem?
Any advice please

Hmmm.
My youngest doesn't do this, but I dimly remember that my oldest did. It was just one of those mystery baby "phases" that they go through, it didn't last that long for us.
I do wonder if she was teething - even if no teeth appear, sometimes they can grow under the gum and be a bit irritating so possibly after the first hunger has abated he realises it's uncomfortable?
Anyway, here's hoping it passes soon!

Yes Isabel does do this sometimes but normally at the start of the bottle - it takes about 5-10 mins of fighting with her then she will settle down nicely and take it all!
Could quite possibly be teething - the fussing with Isabel started 2-3 weeks before her tooth finally appeared!

Jess did this. She'd drink 2oz fine and then fight it for about 10 mins then quite happily drink it:huh: . We gave her a rest after a couple of oz and then she'd take the rest.
Jack does this although he is breast fed but after he has gotten over the initial hunger he will mess around even after winding.
I've always thought it was boredom. They think they're ready for something else. My dd (who is 14 months and still wants to be held to be given her milk-grr!) does this before bed. I ususally hand her to dh and she'll finish for him; I think she just gets bored with me.
