Maisie has been really enjoying her food, but she has been doing enormous poos (some of which Mr Pancake would be proud of). She has a sore bum now, and this morning it looked like it was bleeding. I have put Neal's Yard barrier cream on her bottom, but is there anything else I can do? She is a bit grumpy today and I think this is the reason.

She is having prunes for her tea, so I'm hoping that will soften things up. Is there anything else I can give her?

Poor Maisie.
I use bepathen and I find that plus lots of nappy off time helps sort it pretty quickly.

hope it gets better soon!

A little orange or apple juice in some cooled boiled water

I loove Bepanthen. Del has got a tiny round sore patch and I'd run out of Bepanthen but as soon as I got some more it cleared up.

Another lover of Bepanthen here. I've used it ever since T was tiny and we've had no problems on the bum front so far :thumb:

Metanium cream is fab. We've always used it in instances of sore bumness - to great effect!

I'd also advice not using normal baby wipes when her bum is sore. TBH I rarely use baby wipes anyway as prolonged use seems to effect Eilis's skin. I use cheap face cloths, soaked in a chamomile tea recipe (can post if you're interested) and stored in a plastic food container. Much gentler on sore skin.
