.....a very nice Victoria Sponge. Not very exciting I know but I am proud of it :cheer2: Its my OHs favourite cake so I have made it as a surprise for him and filled it with buttercream and strawberry jam!

Wow, I'm sitting here drooling over your Victoria sponge. I hope your OH is very grateful for such a delish looking cake. My OH would :faint: with shock and delight if he came home to that. Some days I have difficulty managing to get just beans on toast on the table :laff:

ooh yes he was most impressed, we just had a big slice each with a cup of tea and it was delish if I do say so myself! Yum yum, I amaze myself some days!

I am right in the good books now, especially as I made toad-in-the-hole and mash for tea as well (his favourite) mega brownie points earned!

Mine are quite often wonky too, complete fluke when they come out okay :lol:

Hmmmm the earning of brownie points never gets me where I want anyway :rolleyes:
