I'm thinking of getting this for Niamh for her birthday in a couple of weeks ( ), has anyone got it or any of the other Little People stuff? She seems quite drawn towards these kind of things now - we were in Toys R Us today and she was really excited by these and Weebles (haven't THEY changed?!) and the Mega Blocks people.

There was a pack in Woollies the other day that was half price at £14.99 but it wasn't the Animal Sounds one (can't remember which it was) and I really quite fancy that but haven't HEARD it myself yet.

What do you think?

Or any other suggestions for first birthday presents?

I really like the Little People farm, my friend has it and Evie and Joe play with it a lot at her house. I'd recommend it. The house is a good one too - it's pink with different sounds in each room. We have the Noah's Ark but it doesn't make sounds, and the town which they have only recently started to play with.

The farm is one of the best Little People options, imo.

Elena has this one, a house and a castle. The farm (which I got from a car boot sale) is her favourite & has the best sounds.

I'd say go for it. She'll love it :D

Funnily enough this was Henry's 1st birthday present too and he loves it even now at 2 and a bit. It is really good - makes sounds, is good for little hands and does not take up much space!

We do have a few other bits but the farm always come back as favourite! :cheer2:

I've got loads of little people stuff and the kids I childmind love it! The farm and the train track are their faves.

ELC happy land stuff is really popular here too. I keep thinking I should stick to keeping one or the other as we have so many toys I'm running out of room, but I cant bring myself to part with any of it !

The farm is good - I don't have it here (loads of Happyland stuff from when DD was young) but my sis has given hers up to my Mums for the kids to play with there and they all love it - from my niece who's 16 months now up to my DD who's 7  (though she does only play with it when the little ones do!)

we have the animals and a cart, but not the actual farm, so I can't comment on the SOUNDS. But DD loves the animals on their own anyway. they are lovely chunky smooth.

oops! Leah has the animals one and the village, and it's her most played with toy. I would give it the big thumbs up!

Thanks ladies! Decision made now then. All I've got to do now is to find the place that's selling it the cheapest! Then I can get more stuff for her and still stick to the budget hopefully. £19.25 at Amazon.
