Insuring 2 cars?

At the moment, we have one car which me and my OH share. Our insurance is about £400 a year for the both of us.

We are thinking of buying a second car. Would our insurance premium basically double (I know it wouldnt be exact), or do you just pay a smaller amount because you already have a policy with the company?

You just get a second policy for the second car normally. Price depends on the car, where you live, your ages etc.

Your existing insurance company might give a discount if you already have a policy with them, but I think generally discounts go to new customers.
