We've recently installed a dishwasher in our lovely new kitchen - hurrah!

However, this is the first time I've ever owned one and I'm a bit confused, as everything seems to come out still wet :puzzled: Surely it's meant to dry the stuff - otherwise what's the point?!!

Have checked that I've been running the right programme which (according to the manual) is supposed to include a 'dry' phase, but there's still pools of water on the tops of mugs etc and the plastic bits on the drawer/basket thingies are dripping.

Am I doing something wrong?! It's an AEG Electrolux if that makes any difference.

Thanks in advance

Some of my stuff is still wet when it comes out too - things like plastic storage containers and sometimes the inside of my pots. My instructions said to open the door once the cycle was finished and I find this does help, otherwise the steam is contained within the dishwasher so leaves the dishes wet iyswim.

Some of the stuff i have on the top rack is still wet, again the plastic stuff mistly and tops of cups where it can make puddles.

Ok, thanks RedTiger & Biba - I will try leaving the door open straight away and see if that helps!

I thought the damn thing was going to make my life easier

Yeah I find this too, it's the steam condensing as it cools, so leaving the door open should help.

I just put 'em away wet
