View Full Version : Toddler moods
Am I completely unlucky, or do other toddlers have moods too?
Sometimes Lulah is in such a sweet mood I could just eat her up :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: , even her voice is just so sweet it's like sugar.
Other times, she whinges (which is my BIG parenting challenge    :zombie: :zombie: :zombie: ) and it drives me INSANE.
She also is sometimes very obedient (sorry about the grammar) and sometimes very DISobedient, with neither rhyme nor reason to explain it.
Is this just normal toddler-dom :bwahaha: :bwahaha: or am I just unlucky    ?
Minky
No Minks it is just you. Of course my child is ALWAYS well behaved and in a good mood and keen to do as asked -
YEAH RIGHT.
I think it is because all their emotions are so raw and they can't control them yet - and nope no rhyme or reason.
Totally with you on the whingy think being a total PITA, and gawd can she be stubborn!
Catch up soon

No you aren't unlucky. Sounds just like Claire. It does seem so random doesn't it? One minute they are an absolute dream and the next totally go off on one for no reason I can see!

no minky you're not alone  god it wears me out.
its not even 9am and we've run the whole gamit (sp? sorry) of emotions already this morning. The last one just now being a full on indignant tantrum because i told her off for opening all of my thank you cards that i have just written and that are laying on the table to post.
she's now screamed at me dont talk to me like that i am going upstairs for a nap you are not very nice in between  profusely and snotting furiously. So hard sometimes not to laugh at her but i do find it very :teehee: at times but other times i could quite easily bung her in next doors garden for half an hour until we both calm down!:laff:
BUT...as you said, when she is lovely she is lovely, and i mean tears to my eyes lovely, the things she says 'i love my baby sister sooo much mummy thank you for having her' and 'i love you mummy you make me so happy' just melt my heart :girllove::heartlipstick::girllove:
my 7 week old is a DODDLE compared to this mood management that i am forced to take on every single day. no wonder i feel :loco: half the time :laff:
waffled a bit haven't i yikes sorry. but you is not alone lady! :laff:

I'm looking at all the mood management as good practice for when she's a teenager :zombie: :hissyfit:
