Hi everyone,

Livvy has started getting heat rash on her chest and I'm now trying to work out what she should be wearing.
Since she was born (in December) she's mostly worn:

Short Sleeved Vest, Long sleeve T-Shirt, Jeans/Trousers and socks.

Yesterday when it was warm she was absolutely toasting, so should I

a) just dress her in a top and jeans with no vest? Surely then though she'll keep getting a gap between the top and bottom that will get cold?

or

b) get some long sleeved vests and just use those and jeans? What do you do????

HELP! :o)

Thanks,
Sal

Ooh, I've got this dilemma too. Maisie has worn exactly the same as Livvy since she was born. My mum bought her some shorts/cropped trousers from Next which I might try today. I also have some lighter weight long sleeve tops which I could try. They are very thin material. I don't know about the vest issue though. Anyway, cast ne'er a clout til May is out!

Hi Pancake, yep I've popped her in a lightweight top over her vest today. I do have some sleeveless vests but I really think the issue is the number of layers over her chest and tummy not her arms!

Oh it's just too darn complicated this baby dressing issue! ;)

I was just thinking the same Mrs Gucci, just dressed Isabel and I am feeling rather toasty myself, but I put her normal vest on, her tshirt and her dungarees - I bet the little poppet will be baking!

Maisie has been mostly wearing just a vest today - it's boiling here. I took her into town and she was really hot. If it stays like this, I am considering going vestless if we need to go out and keep her in just a vest if we're staying in.

Today I dressed her in just t-shirt and jeans with no vest, she was boiling when we got back from Sainsburys. So I changed her into a summer dress with no vest and she loved it!

As it started to cool down and because her nappy leaked all over her polka-dot dress! I put her in cargo pants and a t-shirt in the afternoon.

I think she'll be back to vest and pyjamas tonight though.

I had to change Isabel out of her dungarees when we got home as she was so sweaty, I put her in a summer dress with no vest on for the afternoon and she was fine (she looked scrumptious!)

I've ended up putting Zakk to bed in his vest and sleeping bag. The window is open in our room and his room but the thermometer is still showing 22 degrees now!! I'm checking on him every 15 minutes or so as I'm worried about him being too hot or it getting too drafty in there!!

Well it seems when we have hot weather I'm destined to change Livvy's outfits about 3/4 times in a day!!

Today she started out in smock type top and cropped jeans, no vest, no socks. By mid/late morning I'd changed her to summery dress (polka-dot one washed and tumble dried last night due to wee incident, the only summer dress I have for her ). Then as it cooled down in the afternoon she was in a sleeveless vest, light top and cropped jeans, then finally in short sleeved vest and pyjama bottoms for sleeping!!

If this weather keeps up, the amount of washing I'm going to be doing is going to be humongous!

I think I prefered cold weather
