I'm about to transfer Kaede to her toddler bed. She has a hankering for bouncing on my bed and in her cot - she just doesn't stop and it drives me mad with worry. I'm forever stopping her climbing on my bed for a mad bouncing fit  She already hurts herself in her cot by doing it so much, so what on earth am I going to do when she is in her own bed

I've been getting her used to the bed itself by reading her a nightime book on it etc.... and last night she suddenly stood up and started boucing on it heading right towards every bit of wall and wood around - let alone if she topples off :brainache:

HAs anyone had this??? What do I do??
Do I just let her bounce away, have the inevitable accident and hope she learns :brainache:

sorry that title should say 'bounce' and not 'bouncer' - she's not working the door of a nightclub or anything - honest

I had this and still have it with my son - I just let him get on with it tbh otherwise I would be telling him off every minute of the day.....so far he has fallen off a couple of time, but the crazy child that I have just gets straight back on again!

Is it practical to buy her one of these small trampoline things and try and explain that she can bounce on that but if she bounces on the bed the trampoline gets taken away for the day ??

I hear you Taz - we have a mini-tigger too!! She was forever bouncing on her cotbed which drove me mad as we didn't want her to break it before I put her baby sis in it! Now she has a bunk bed so can't do it :teehee: but she insists on bouncing on my bed and the sofa or even the floor!!!:loco: I dont know the answer because she's already bounced off my bed and hurt herself - but got straight back up and carried on bouncing:rolleyes:

We had this problem with Claire but bluesgirls suggestion did the trick. She got a trampoline for her 2nd birthday and she knows now she is only allowed to bounce on that. It is in her room too!

interesting about the trampoline idea! She has a little one in the garden which she loves to bit (I am now thinking perhaps I started her bouncing craze off all that time ago  ) perhaps I can get a small one for her room then and try this idea :scratchchin:

Yes, she really is TIGGER!!!!!! Whom by the way she adores  You want to see how excited she gets when Harry jumps in his bucket with his dinosaurs and yes of course....Harry is jumping on hix poxy bed which doesn't help

Then she loves the bit where Pooh and Piglet jump back into the book and runs around going 'jump jump' when it happens!

I think i have real trouble on my hands. She can jump quite well on the ground too and has done for a long while - perhaps I have a future athelete on my hands
