A strawberry Jam sandwich!!!

I made James one of these for his tea tonight (and no Im not going to use the blushy face Icon..as Ive had a bad day and make no apologies for my sons tea!!).

But I took a piece of it and I havent had a Jam sandwich since my childhood...it was delicious, its one of those things like cornflakes you forget how good they taste!

I like raspberry jam myself, but agree they are lovely! Dont have them very often about once every few years but they must be on soft white bread!

Funny you should say that Nics, I ran out of brain steam around lunchtime, so I gave Elise jam on toast for the first time which I pinched a piece of (yummy!:teehee: ), and she loved it!! :ellie:

now personally I'm not a massive fan of jam sandwiches but I am SO with you on the cornflakes thing!!

I got a packet the other week to make cornflake crispie cakes with H but have been snaffling bowls of cornflakes with ice cold milk and sugar like they're going out of fashion.

Only problem is they are PANTS for filling you up and you need about 4 bowls to feel full (or is that just me?? :teehee: )

I hate jam sandwiches and cornflakes (sorry I'm weird) they both come under my category of 'food the devil ordered', however, I just wanted to say I don't think there is any call for a blushy smiley here. Bet she was thrilled to have a jam sandwich.

The best strawberry jam I've found is the Duchy originals one - absolutely stacked full of strawberries ! I'd agree with Joanna though, it has to be on soft white bread ! Alex doesn't like jam or ice cream for that matter :puzzled:

funnily enough I had a craving for these, and took some to work for my lunch on wednesday!!

What was even better was it was the top two slices off a new loaf of bread:laff: Makes all the difference in my book:teehee:
