Helloooooooooooo
I've had a word with Damsella and she's happy for us to resurect this thread over 'here' (cheerz Damz  ).
So, how the heck are we all doing? Lorna has turned into the cheekiest little madam around but it's highly amusing as well as being incredibly irritating at the same time :teehee:
I gave her some juice at the weekend, some Robinson's diluting stuff that she passed to me from the cupboard. I only put enough in to give it a slight taste and handed it to her. She took a sip, shook her head, said NO! then toddled off to the cupboard and got the Robinson's back out and gave it to me, pointing and saying "more" :laff:
She had a Parents Evening at the nursery last week which was fine. Apparently the only issue is that she can't match up snap cards but the nursery supervisor said not to worry, it's a stupid category for such a young age. I got her snap cards out fo the drawer, well what's left of them. She reverted back to her old ways and immediately started to rip them up :loco:
What else, errrrr she's got her big pointy jaggy teeth coming through so that should make about 16 or 17 teeth now and just some back ones left to pop through at the top.
She's starting to fit into her 12-18 month clothes properly now, bout berluddy time  And summer is on the way so I can't wait for her to wear the little summery dresses I've got for her :ellie:
She's eating all of her food completely on her own now. We have the biggest hissy fits if we even dare hold her fork or spoon :zombie: We get kisses and hugs on demand and her speach is coming on really well. Too well infact............... she called me a "dumpling" yesterday when I dropped my cup while pointing and laughing at me
Well, how are you and your LO's doing now? Have any of you had your's weighed and have you heard anything about a booster for the MMR???

(p.s. it's lovely to be back :ellie: )
Hello
Well Dylan is still not talking at all tho he did say something that sounded like book last night and today again. I wish he would hurry up tho as he is getting so frustrated with not being able to tell me what he wants.
He has a bad temper on him as well but I just let him get on with it unless its in a shop and then I pick him up and take him out of the place if I can.
Well my wee pip squeak is in his 12-18 months clothes but they are on the big side with turned up trousers etc but the 9-12 stuff si too small for him now FINALLY
I need to go and get him some summer shoes as its 24 degrees today and his shoes are too hot. Might do that tomorrow after I have been to the mw.
He is so affectionate at the moment as well and we get kisses and hugs when we ask for them. His party trick is understanding the question/request in both english and dutch.
Today the neighbours kids called at the back door for him as they wanted to play with him. THe little girl is 3 1/2 and the boy is 19 months so they had a great time playing in the sand in the garden.
Dylan is totally in love with the little girl and is always hugging her.
As of November he can go to the nursery school for one morning a week but I am not sure if I want to do that as he seems so young, i might cry if he goes :laff:
His walking is great tho it does mean he is not overly impressed with the buggy and DH always lets him walk everywhere whereas I am tring to keep him bound to the buggy on shopping trips to make it easier for me which I know is mean but I cannot control him and a baby in a pram when he doesn't want to cooperate.
i think thats all for now, oh tho Jane I know what you mean about the eating tho Dylan tries to feed us as well.
Just waiting now to see when the baby will arrive and getting more and more nervous everyday really.
Hope you are all about soon

Hiya:wave:
Xander is doing fantastically at the moment - he's soo cheeky, sweet and full of fun. I just wish we could finally say goodbye to all the hair pulling but I'm hoping it won't be long:-( 'tis most painful. We are also starting to try and break his dependency on his dummy and that looks like it is going OK.
He has lots of words NNNOOOO! being a favourite. Frankly I can't be doing with any of this milestone stuff about what they should or shouldn't be able to do as it just feels like a wind-up really, designed to make us feel inadequate. I looked on babycentre and there is no correlation between each months milestones so pah! to it all.
we're on holiday next week which will be fantastic although we are going so near my dad that we will have to visit a lot which is a bit of a grind - he's a pain frankly:oops:
The one blot is that Pete needs to find yet another job/contract again - it feels like we are constantly doing this and I am desperate for him to get a permanent job as contracting is soo stressful.
I'm also as fat as a frog and can't be harsed to do anything about it which I know I'll regret as soon as it gets warm or we start TTCing - but I did just enjoy my cambozola sandwiches and tootie-frooties!
Andie, I can't believe you're about to become a mum of 2:bow: I've not cracked the first one yet:doh:
Jane - I did have him weighed recently as he was weighed at hospital and then we saw the HV. He's around 26lbs which is fine for his age. We don't have the MMR booster for a while down here, although we've been advised to delay it anyway as he was so ill after the 1st one.
Glad this thread has been re-born:ellie:

Great to have you both back on board ladies :cheer2: :cheer2:
I'm a bit disappointed atm. Just found a really luffly 3 bed semi for sale at a fixed price. Phoned Alan and told him that I wanted to drive around the area tonight to see if we like it and if we do that we can arrange to maybe see it tomorrow night. One of the girls in the office said I'd be as well to call and make sure it's still on the market............... the vendor is in negotiations with a buyer as we speak. I'm completely gutted  I should have checked the website at the beginning of the week as I'd been watching that house for a couple of weeks but it was on an offers over basis and I can't be harsed with all of the haggling that's involved.
Oh well, if it's gone it's gone and it couldn't have been meant to be.
Girls how are the wedding preparations going??

That is so frustrating Jane, house buying is enough to make anyone go :loco: :zombie: :brainache: but if it meant to be yours, it will be. If nothing else, missing out on one you both like may kick Alan into gear about getting the flat finished and on the market pronto.
Oh it scares me to death the thought of being a 'mum of 2' I am not sure if I will ever get out of the house or have my hairbrushed again but at least it will be the summer and I can plonk us all in the garden and hope for the best.
Its getting really close now and I am a bit tired of being pg but then I think this may be my last time ever and it makes me feel a wee bit sad as I love my bump. Never having to hold it in after eating etc is just wonderful.
But its all getting a bit heavy and achey now and I wanna see what flavour we have gotten this time and what the little one will be like.
I figure its best to go into this motherhood malarky blinded by the rose tinted glasses holding your breath and hoping for the best
I am sure I will let you know soon enough how great or harrowing it really is.
Jane I am really sorry about the house I hope something else turns up soon for you. Can't be much fun having a toddler watching mummy and daddy playing grown up games
I hope Holly wasn't in the room as well.
How is your mum feeling now by the way?
Going to go and relax now and wait for the apprentice to come on. Who do you think will go tonight?
Speak soon

:hi: Great to see the old thread again. Sorry to hear about the house Jane, There is probably a nicer one just waiting for you.
Well Rebecca is a right little madam, so independent but not saying much - understands everything but only really saying, mummy, daddy, MINE (such a favourite), bye. Mind you she chatters away in her own wee language.
Her sleeping is a bit hit or miss, keeps dropping her dummy so I've resorted to bringing 5 up each night hoping she will find at least one  . Someone needs to give me a big kick up the backside as I still haven't moved her into her own room  . I know I'm making a rod for my back but its so much easier than going in and out of her room about 10 times a night and our room is so big we hardly notice her (that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it  ).
She is still not in her 12-18 mths clothes, 6-9 or 9-12 trousers and 9-12 tops.
We are off to Florida in 7 weeks, not looking forward to the flight, must ask Katy how Lucy coped on the flight.
Can't believe you are so close to your due date Andie :brainache: , it seems to have flown by.
Hope you have a great holiday Spritzer.

Hello,
thanks for restarting the thread Jane :)
I am still worried about the f-ing chicken pox (sorry can't stop swearing about it).
Emma is fab! I love her so much  She is a little one, her trousers are all 6-9months, which is handy as I have packed her cropped trousers from last summer for this holiday (if we go!) top wise, it's 12-18 on account of he rbig belly but we roll her sleeves up. SHoes, her feet are still a 3!!!!
Speech wise, she isn't doing as well as some of the threads, BUT she understands everything and points so much stuff out to us, she spots things before we do - animals on signs etc. She has been eating this week for a change. She had praise at nursery last week, (usually we just get told how stubborn she is :o) but last week we were told how she always says "Ta", and is the politest one in the meenies room :yay:
Andie - i am so excited that you're meeting your new baby soon!
Jane - keep a look out for houses, you'll find the right one! Our mmr booster is I think at 4yrs just before they start school.
Babilicous - is thatyou starlight? (It's Miriam btw) Is your mum all well now? i hope so.
Spritzer - enjoy your holiday & TTC! & everything crossed for your OH finding a job/contract.

Morning girlies, I've just posted over in Rellies........ I can't be harsed trying with Alan anymore. I think I just need to get this holiday over with to make my mind up once and for all.
I do love him and I think he still loves me too but we just bicker about the most pettiest things and I feel as though life would just be so much calmer without him being there. Constantly under my feet, making a mess and taking me for granted.
I've tried sitting down to talk with him but he either doesn't take it seriously and starts making jokes or else it turns into an argument we me being left to feel like it's all my fault, in a puddle of my own tears. Sorry for going on, just feel like everything is so shit just now.
Lorna was as good as gold yesterday, put her to bed at 8pm though as I'd have to get her up at 6.30am today for work/nursery. I walked past the bedroom at 9pm and I could still here her talking away to herself! Then I heard the dummy getting thrown out of her cot and the usual incoherent babble "mmndnser jdieroes dfmsaf my dummy" :laff:
We were out with the larks and on the 07.20am train for me starting work at 8am. You know, I'm just so flaming tired and depressed. Every week for the past 6 weeks or so I've managed to have one day off each week with either phoning in sick or taking a day off. I'm sick of my job, sick of my OH and sick of my homelife. AND I'M SICK OF FECKING ALWAYS MOANING ABOUT IT!!!!
Right on a more positive note........... I'm away to Barcelona on the 15th with Alan until the 18th. Lorna is staying with my parents so we can try and sort ourselves out. Please everyone keep your fingers crossed that we come back home together and I don't end up in a Spanish jail accused of murder!!!

Jane, hope you & ALan can sort things out, this trip to Barcelona may be just what the 2 of you need. He probably makes jokes as a way of avoiding the issue IYSWIM. Really hope it gets sorted.
OH is doing my head in tonight. I don;t know what's wrong with him but he is acting like some kind of zombie.

hi all, tried to catch up with you all yesterday but didnt have time.
Jane bad news about the house, but just think there will be a nicer one out there for you. I hope you sort things out with Alan, as you say maybe this romantic weekend
Cheeky/Miriam. (what should i call you over here:rolleyes: ) so pleased emma doesnt have the pox, good luck with everything i know we all can not wait to see some pics and here all about it.
Andie - not long to go now, are you excited, nervous or just cant wait to get it over with now.
Spritzer - what is this MMR booster all about, i dont think i know anything about it
Well we have had an intresting day, madam would not go for a nap, and she almost fell asleep on her milk. I had to go and buy her some sandals as we didnt have any, it was lovely and warm here today.
Still nto much talking but lots of having little fits.
I have booked myself in for a Fake Bake tan 2 days before the wedding, so i really hope it will go okay. I also have booked myself in for a bikini and underarm wax the week before that:shock: , never had that done before either. Also that day I will have a full facial so looking forward to that.

Hello everyone, can I join in?
I dropped out of the Oct/Nov thread when I had Evie and Joe as I literally had no time to post, and then when things had finally settled down I felt too out of the loop, but seeing as this is a new thread I hope you don't mind if I join in.
My two are great fun at the moment, although they are starting to squabble and fight. I've started to buy two of everything as they are guaranteed to want to play with the same toy at the same time and steal each other's favourite teddies and toys.
Evie is running about all over the place and getting very cheeky, she has a few words, not many that any other people can understand, but she understand everything I say, so much so that I have to spell words out now to avoid her tuning in to what I am saying. Joe has fewer sounds, mainly bah and gah! They do great kisses though.
Both are in 12-18 clothes, I have bought some 18-24 stuff for the summer but it all looks HUGE. Actually, Evie still fits comfortably into a Next 6-9 month summer dress and her 3-6 month summer hat from last year still fits her head! She is a dot.
It's nice to read how all your lo's are doing. Jane, hope your trip to Barcelona is a success, and that you and your dh manage to sort out some of your issues. LLjj, underarm waxing HURTS but it is good, and apparently if you keep having it done your underarm hair goes completely, I stopped all my waxing when I was pregnant as I got too big to be lying on the table and I never went back to it.
flipflop x
Just a very quick hello at the moment.
Welcome back Flip Flop great to hear about the twins it must be very cool having two the same age but also quite a lot of work.
Jane keep going with the house hunting and get the fancy underwear out of the weekend away.
Miriam I am glad Em didn't have the dreaded pox. When do you fly out to Vegas? Are you getting super excited now? Have the best day ever.
LJJ not long for you now either.
I ahve to admit I am getting a little bored with being pg and my hips are really sore at night as I hate sleeping on my side it feels like they are being crushed.
Every morning DH asks me "Is there anything happening yet?' and to be honest its driving me insane. My MIL calls almost everyday as well as she doesn't wo miss anything but I just want them all to leave me alone now as its winding me up and stressing me a little.
Last night I was talking in my sleep and apparently said hurry up and start labour as I want to meet my little girl. Now I have truly no idea what I am having so i hope I won't be disappointed if its a little boy IYSWIM altho of course I will love it no matter what.
Anyway we are off to the shops now to get some sandals for Dylan as it seems the summer has arrived  :ellie: :thumb:

Tried to catch up with you all yesterday but work was hectic and by the time I got home, Rebecca was being such a little madam I think DH would have murdered me if I even thought about switching the computer on  .
Yes Miriam/C-B it's me Starlight Express. Thanks for asking about my mum, she is not too bad - unfortunately has managed to put on 2 stone since her operation last year and the extra weight is really telling on her making her very breathless. Have posted on your other thread but have a great time in Las Vegas. I'm sure it will be fab.
Nice to see you back Flipflop, I can imagine things must have been really hectic with 2, good to hear Evie and Joe are doing well.
LJJ - I'm sure you can't wait until your wedding, won't be long now. Hope everything goes well for you too and hope you have a great honeymoon.
Forgot to tell you but Rebecca managed to perforate DH's eardrum a few weeks ago. She stuck a stick in his ear and completely perforated his eardrum so he has been attending ENT as his hearing has been affected. She wasn't flavour of the month in this house :happyno: .
Jane, really sorry things are difficult for you. I agree with C_b that he is probably laughing to lighten the mood. I'm certainly no good at giving advice but it does sound as if he cares just doesn't really know how to show it. I really hope things get better soon.
Hi spritzer and Andie and  anyone I missed.

Just a quick hello
OMG babyliscious, the stick in the ear incdent sounds horrendous! Hope she is all ok, it shouldn't affect her hearing should it?
Jo -heard the fake bake is fab, hope you enjoy it.
I chickened out of my bikini wax, got to go & immac - lovely!!!!!!
Andie - hope all goes well with bubs, and he/she's here by the time I get back! Looking forward to find out pink or blue and the name of course - have you tried telling your DH he named Dylan so it's your turn (even if that isn't true!!!!!)
flipflop - kisses are great! I bet your 2 will still argue about the toy even if it's the same :wik: it must be lovely to have them play together!
Jane - have a fab time in barcalona. Hope things get sorted with Alan, I'm sure they will and you will come back all refreshed.
 to everyone else, have a good couple of weeks & look after yourselves!

Have a great hol c_b, hope to catch up with you when you get back.
Andie, I have every sympathy with you, I remember the sleepless nights of trying to get comfy and tossing and turning all night. I banished dh to the spare room when things got really bad and had the whole bed to myself with a pile of pillows under my hips and between my legs (wish I could do an appropriate smiley here) trying to snuggle down and get some sleep.
Babillicious, the eardrum incident sounds terrible!! How did she manage to poke the stick so far down? I'm not surprised your dh is a bit peeved, although bless her it's hardly as if she did it on purpose. Is there any lasting damage? At least it wasn't her own ear.
Hello!
Nice to hear how you're all doing..I have sneaked on at work as my computer is being fixed so don't have time to say hello properly (and I can't work the smilies..)
C has her MMR on tues so I'm not looking forward to that. We are also trying to reduce dummy time...she was really ill last week and we have moved house so she had it all the time...which meant she whinged constantly. Making her put it in her cot and waving it bye bye or night night seems to work...
We have a shiny new house which is fab, more room and famous neighbours ;) . The cat still isn't allowed out and is driving us mad yelling all the time. I took him for a walk on his lead yesterday and that made him worse...
Better go..I want to catch up and do a sainsburys and I spose I should really do a bit of work :o

FlipFlop - We were at the boys BB display and DH was looking at the stage, Rebecca was in his arms holding a flag (we were supposed to wave them for the play they were doing  ) and DH turned his head. The stick end just happened to be level with his ear and it just jammed in. Never seen colour drain so quickly from someone's face  . He says it sounds as if he is hearing things under water - think its just an excuse not to hear me  .
 Micah, good luck with C's MMR, it's horrible when they have to have injections. You would think you were cutting Rebecca's arm off she is so dramatic.
Has anyone heard if the meningeoccoal (sp) injection is up and running yet? My hv said they were starting in April but I haven't heard anything yet.
Hope the weather is nice where you are. The sun is shining here so the :washingline: is done. The boys are out playing and Rebecca has gone out with DH. Yay!!

hi there, well i went out on my Hen Night last night. Was good, we went for a lovely meal and then onto a club which isnt my thing but loved watching all the people.
Made Mia some meatballs in a meat sauce today, and should of made her some salmon fishcakes, but didnt get round to that. I was a little bit tired.
I am so tempted to go to bed right now.
Have you seen my ticker, 2 weeks and 6 days, oh my god it is going to fly by. So much to do still

Ooooooh LJJ really happy to hear that your hen night went well and you didn't have to endure the obligatory stripper :cheer2: The time really has come round so quickly. Ooooh you're going to have such a fabby day
Hiya Flipflop, Starlight, Andie, Katy, Micah, Miriam (although you're away on your jollies), :wave2: :wave2: :wave2: It's lovely to hear how all of the girls and boys are getting on. They all sound like little brain boxes and I'm sure we'll all have our hands full very soon with them wanting to express their own personalities :hissyfit: :bwahaha:   :happyno: :cheer2:
Lorna loves her tent I bought her on Friday. We've collapsed it down again just now though as it is rather large. When the better weather comes we can put it up outside for her to play in and it can go in her own room when we eventually find somewhere to live.
I've decided to put my flat on the market pretty much as soon as we come home from our holiday although I think a trip to see the bank manager is in order first. I'll have to get someone round to value the flat then ask the bank how much we can borrow etc and get the mortgage side sorted out then house hunting.
Have any of you had the Child Tax Credits forms through yet? I thought they were meant to be coming out in April as the adverts were on all the time last month but I haven't had anything yet.
Alan and I finally had a bit of ahemmmm, grown up fun last night :teehee: It was definately worth the wait :thumb: We are still rowing about him not finishing odd jobs around the house but he then turns it on me and says he wont finish the bathroom because I take no pride in it and never clean it :yeahright: Just can't win with him sometimes :sigh:
Ah well this time next week Alan and I will be heading off for the airport to go to Barcelona :sunshine: I really wish I'd booked Lorna on the trip with us but I know that Alan and I really need some time to try and sort out our relationship. Just hoping that we can get back some of the magic that we had before. I'm also really conscious of the fact that we had decided to start TTC this summer but if we aren't getting on then there's no point in trying for another baby :sigh: So keep your fingers crossed for us girls.
Well better get on and do some work.

hello there
Jane I bet you can not wait for your holiday I hope you have a great time. How exciting about the flat and moving, I know you can not wait to move, isnt Lorna in your room right now, I bet that would help too once she has her own room.
Today I have made some Salmon Fishcakes for Mia, they are so easy to do. I have been a bit slow in making her food, I still like to batch cook to be honest, I am just too tired sometimes to cook our dinner and save some for Mia when I get home. Plus I know this way she is getting healthy good.
Been to the shops today, when to take my engagement ring in to get it re plated ready for the wedding. Also got a few clothes for Mia and me for our holiday. Andy isnt buying any, he plans to shop in New York. When we are on holiday we will be meeting up with a friend of Andy's in NY and then a friend of mine in Barbados, which i think will be really good.
Andy is off to Poland on Friday for his Stag weekend, I am going to ask my mum round to watch the cup final on Saturday West Ham are in the final  , and they are our local team, so will watch that. Then in the evening some friends are coming round for a girly night in.
Right better go need to put the salmon fishcakes in the freezer and then dry up and wash up.
Andie how are you doing there, not long now:thumb:
Hello!
Well my laptop has been taken away for fixing so I shall probably be on here even less for a while .
LJJ glad to hear the wedding plans are going OK, will miriam be married yet?
C's MMR went OK with the aid of some buttons....thank you to whoever mentioned that tip!
The cat went out for the first time this morning, and came back, which was a relief. The cowardy custard won't go out unaccompanied...
How is everyone else?

Hiya Micah
I think Miriam got married on Monday, so she is a Mrs now. Jane is down in July and I have to work as it is on a Friday, which is a real shame.
right better go need to get ready for work, have a late start and a late finish today.
Hello ladies
I am still here and everything is starting to quieten down now but I am sooooooo tired and my backaches. i just want this baby out, I don't think I have ever wished for pain so much as I am now
Dylan is being so grumpy at the minute and is having so many tantrums its untrue honestly I cannot wait for naptimes.
The baby is not fully engaged and keeps popping in and out which is annoying. If my waters go then I need to lie down and call the midwife right away and then i need to stay laying down until the contractions start or the baby gets into position.
Please keep your fingers crossed as I really really really don't want to have to go to the hospital.
I wonder how Miriam is getting on and how the day went.
LJJ are you ready for the big day?
How are the rest of you ladies doing and of course the babies.
Dylan is a proper little boy now with all the scrapes on his knees and bruises all over his legs from wearing shorts in the garden.
Think I might go and have a nap now as I am shattered
Oooh did I miss a thread? Is there a meet I don't know about :sunglasses: I really can't keep up with all the threads spread all over here and also at HB, my poor wee brain is all fuddled.
Well I have just has a bill of the Tax credits people, apparently I owe them £200, despite not getting any money from them for over a year
Andie why do you have to lie down if your waters go? Nobody told me that when mine went. Good luck and stay at home vibes.....I'd have given anything to stay out of hospital but C had exactly the opposite idea.
Better run and get my wee one from nursery...

hiya,
I am off out tonight an apartment company we use are taking us out for a meal, so hoping it will be somewhere nice. Tomorrow is Jo Jingles day which Mia likes but doesnt like to sit down and play with the instruments, when the box comes out she is the first one there and then she is the last one away, she is a nightmare. She then likes to walk all around the hall. We bought the cd to get her used to the songs.
Andie Mia has all those scraps and grazes on her knees know she is going out in the garden.
Still no talking but she tried to call out for the little girl next door last night which was cute.
Right better go before they say I am skivving
OHMIGOD does anyone want an 18 month old little boy? Very cute smile with blonde hair and blue eyes, most of his teeth and a terrible temper!!!!!
He has done nothing but scream ALL DAY thru frustration, anger, fun, amusement, seeking attention, and any other reason he can come up with.
I am not having a good day I am all aches and pains, feel like crying for no reason and cannot cope with anymore toddler tantrums for at least another 24hours.
Micah I will need to lie down if my waters go as the baby is not fully engaged. Uumm more than that I don't really know why as such.
Oh better go as he is screaming again in bed.

Glad your hen night went well LJJ, seems like no time since you booked the wedding :ellie: . Hope you enjoy your girlie night on Saturday. Poland wow - when I got married you were lucky you got a hen/stag night never mind abroad. Hope you have a great night out tonight.
Good news about putting your flat on the market Jane, hopefully it will go quickly and something great will turn up for you.
Sending hurry up vibes to that baby of yours Andie. Hope you aren't kept waiting too long  .
Hope you all enjoyed the weather today. It was scorchine here which makes a change - we normally have rain when the rest of you are having sunshine  .
Well off to have something to eat and get everyone to bed.

andie, sorry you are not feeling yourself at the moment, all i can say is wont be long now, but not sure if that will be just as hard, at least you wont get the aches etc.
Babilicous - I know I have never fancied going away for the weekend. My Hen night was just that a night, but i did make sure I was out Saturday afternoon getting my hair done and then went for brunch with my friend who stayed over night. I kept saying This is My weekend
I had a lovely dinner tonight, it was Seabass on prawn rissoto in a wine Jus. Really very tasty, then a Banana tart with icecream. Sounds a lot but you know what it is like in these flash restaurants. I dont eat like this all the time, only when we get taken out.
Oohh...just quickly
Jane I'm fairly sure I can do Friday 7th!!! That's if nobody minds me gatecrashing? Was there a thread or have I just invited myself to a private party
Better go do some work (especially if I'm going to start taking days off to meet scots people!). Though I have been in super early recently 'cos C is getting up at 5am...
Good luck Andie, I have my fingers crossed (can't find the smiley)

Don't be silly Micah, course you can come along :cheer2:
Well this has been one heck of a week workwise, my brain is completely befoggled :brainache: (my own word, like it :thumb: ) so I'm more than ready for Barcelona on Monday!!!
Just popped along to Primark and got some great bargains again for Lorna in the sales. Lovely brown cord trousers for £2 and tops for £1 all bigger sizes so she can wear them this winter.
I've not heard from Andie for a couple of days so I'm going to text her and see how she's getting on.
Hope everyone is well

Oh no panic ladies I am still here and going insane.
i am shattered and want this baby to arrive soon. Keep hoping it will arrive soon but then that is when the hard work really begins so its all a bit of a double edged sword really.

By eck the postman is taking his time getting to you. I though you'd have received something nice in the post by now. I posted "it" last Friday  let me know when you get it Andie xx
Hi to everyone else :wave2:
J.x
Andie I like Kane, does remind me of that bloke from Home and away though  . I'm crap with names though, I didn't officially give C her name til she was about 3 weeks old...
Jane it will be fab to meet you :cheer2:
LJJ I didn't have a hen night, but that's what happens when you plan your wedding in a week  Glad to hear yours went well
Does anyone know how to post pics? I have a fab one but am a bit clueless, and it doesn't help that my computer is at the doctors so I can't really mess about too much at work....
Jane I followed your instructions on DM photo's and have managed OK, but (paranoia here) what if I want to take the pic down? how do I do that?
Oh Jane I am all curious now. The post from the UK to here is absolutely shite most of the time. Plus the postal service here is a bit mental sometimes its random old ladies in woolly hats and cars delivering the post at 7 in the evening
Well its mothers day here on sunday shall I get something or not that is the question? Last year DH did fab with lovely earrings from Fossil and dinner at a japanese restaurant but I am not counting on anything this year. Well plus its too risky to go out for dinner JUST IN CASE SOMEONE MAKES AN APPEARANCE :ellie: :ellie: :ellie:
Its my mums 50th tomorrow so maybe bubs will arrive for that.
I keep willing every ache and pain to transform into something else. i want to get rid of this grumpy arsed mood that I am in and I want to see what flavour we got this time plus I WANT TO MEET MY BABY.
Does anyone have any nice plans for the weekend?

12-05-2006, 07:55pm
andie, i bet you have the baby on mothers day.
I like the name Kane too.
Well Andy is away, so i am having a girlie night in, with Curlie Sue who posts on HB, and watching the football tomorrow West Ham is local to us.
Yesterday was a great day, Mia had her 2 Uncles round, she hadnt seen both of them in 6 - 8 months, my brother was in Thailand since November and Andy's step brother was other from France. She did some colouring with her crayons, and had a hissy fit when i took them away because she wouldnt do it on the paper but wanted to do it on the table. Then she sat on my brothers lap for ages, with some stickers.
Andy's friends want to get him really drunk this weekend, and someone slipped a double whiskey into his coffee this morning. They were all having beer at breakfast time at the airport and Andy was the only one having coffee
Just thought I would bump us up abit for a little while.
So does anyone know when Miriam is back? Can't wait to hear about everything and of course Jane's holiday.
LJJ not long now until you get to say I do as well are you excited/nervous or just stressed with last minute planning?
Well as you may have guessed baby is still in there much to the disgust and annoyance of mil.
They are driving me insane you would think I was doing it on purpose as she is away this weekend.
Just is really going to make me loose my temper soon. Calling on the phone everyday or coming by when they feel like it and now I have just found out that my SIL is also away this weekend so we are a little stuffed if I need to go into hospital to have the baby this weekend.
Thankfully the neighbours have said that they would be happy to look after Dylan as he loves being with their 2 kids as well.
MIL also said that if it arrives this weekend then they will come by on sunday evening when they get back at 10PM. I said they wouldn't be getting in as we most likely will be sleeping and they can come on the monday afternoon.
She is really annoying me can you tell?
Anyway I had better go as this is going to turn bitter soon.
At least we will have a few days of peace and quiet and we know how helpful the inlaws are now

I've added a link to my pics on Damsels Mums. We had such a brilliant time and I'd definately go back. I'm not sure that it's the most child friendly of places to go right enough but there are some lovely parks there and the zoo and aquarium of course. it's very hot too, between 27 - 29 while we were there and that wasn't even the hottest month :faint:
Back to Glasgow and it's damp and dreary. Ach well at least I only had to go to work for one day and I'll be finished for the weekend in 50 minutes.
Gawd Lorna looked sooooooo tall when we picked her up last night. And the first thing she did was try and button the front of my top up  We got her a lovely Barcelona t-shirt, a boy doll to go in her ELC car and a little hamster teddy thing in a box :cheer2:
Anyway, how is everyone getting on? Andie, I take it you're still hanging on in there. Also bet you're a bit relieved your MIL is out of town although not very chuffed at your SIL buggering off at the same time. Good of your neighbours to offer to drive you to the hossi if you need it.
Right, I shall toddle off now and tidy my desk before I finish for the weekend!! Catch ye all later
J.x
Hi Jane,
Did you get my text message? You are a little angela nd I was all :ellie:  :cheer2: until I finished the whole bar
Yes I am still hanging in there but you know its alright really. MIL called at 9:15 this morning just to check nothing was happening.
The neighbours have offered to take Dylan for us if we need to rush to the hospital and if we do then I will be going in a bloody ambulance and not with DH driving last time he managed to hit every bump and kerb because he was so freaked out. When we got to the hospital mum pushed me about in a wheel chair and was spinning me round in circles as she didn't know where to go. So this time I will be looking for professionals to take over if needed
I have a terrbily dragging feeling in my back like just before AF arrives and I have tried having a bath but it didn't really help.
Jane I will text you when it arrives and then you can post it for me as no doubt I won't get a chance to get online as the nurse will make sure I stay in bed all day :cheer2: not that that is a bad thing.
Hope the rest of you ladies are doing good.

Hi there
Wow i am so busy right now, I have 2 days of work next week Mon and Tue, and then I am off. Going to go out with the girls from work next week.
Andie what a pain that you are still hanging in, there, I cant wait to hear your news.
Jane how did your weekend go, did you and Alan enjoy your time on your own.
I have a week from tomorrow, it is going to fly by. Yesterday I went for a face massage, and an underarm and bikini wax, the underarm really hurt and brought a tear to my eye. The massage was great and my skin is so smooth today. Next week I am going to have a fake bake, but not really dark.

Hi girls
Andie, hope you are ok and that the new babe will be making an appearance very soon. I like the name Kane.
Jane, Barcleona is lovely isn't it? We went when I was quite newly pregnant so I was very tired and couldn't drink. I'd love to go back and make more of the evenings next time. Did you and your dh enjoy spending time alone together?
LLjj, underarm waxing is a killer, but it does give a lovely smooth finish. Bet you're excited now! Did your dh have a good time, he went to Poland didn't he? Which city? We went to Krakow a couple of years ago, and had a great time with all the cheap beer .
We moved house last week so have been busy unpacking boxes and settling in, it's just a shame the weather has been so rotten this weekend. Evie and Joe have adjusted really well to the new home, we had one very unsettled night with Joe, but apart from that there have been no problems. I noticed today that Joe has one of his back four molars through so that could have explained the bad night - he only has three more teeth to come and he's got them all.
Hope you've all had nice weeekends.

Hiya girls
Hey Flipflop, lovely to hear from you.
Not much to comment on today. Our weekend was alright but boy is Lorna turning into a right royal pain in the backside :teehee:
We've had to start putting her in pull ups instead of regular nappies as she's mastered taking the nappies off. She took one off on Saturday and sat down on my bedroom rug and smeared pooh over it  And we're having to suffer regular tantrums regarding getting dressed. She wants to put all of her clothes, socks and shoes on herself and this little floor show can take well over half an hour (I lose patience and take over by that time).
She's also developed a love of cleaning but not any ordinary cleaning.......... her's involves copious amounts of saliva/juice :brainache: She either bangs the spout of her juice cup on the chair, sofa etc or if she has no cup to hand she just SPITS then uses her sleeve, bib, tissue etc to wipe it clean then repeats the whole process until she's caught!!!!!
Whever we tell her off we'll sternly say "Lorna!" and she turns and wags her finger at us and shouts "No, Lorna no!" then rolls on the floor laughing :sigh:
It doesn't matter how loud you shout or how angry we are she doesn't take the slightest bit of notice of us and it can be quite demoralising. And food.................. she's trying our patience with food again. Everything you give her she spits back out and says "too ott" even though I've left the food to cool down for 10 minutes before I give it to her.
Arrghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I love her really but jeeze is she getting to be really hard work again.
Wot are you're little darlinks getting up to?

I know exactly how you feel Jane, Evie in particular is getting really quite naughty, and she just laughs at me if I tell her off. The only thing that works is if I say 'mummy is sad because...' then she'll come and give me a kiss.
We have tantrums for all sorts of things - getting dressed/undressed, putting shoes on or off, not letting her climb the stairs, not letting her bang a beaker really hard on the coffee table, the list is endless.
In our new house the fridge is a built in one that she can open the door of, this is the biggest battle at the moment - she's in there all the time and it makes me really cross (I haven't got any of those door catch things becasue we didn't need them in the old house and I haven't had a moment to get to Mothercare or wherever to buy them.)
This morning Evie and Joe got a box of eggs out of the fridge and smashed them all on the kitchen floor. I have never really shouted at them before but I went a bit mad! They just looked at me and tried to smear the eggy mess into the floor a bit more.
The only thing that keeps me a bit sane is that they have a really long sleep in the middle of the day; 2-3 hours usually so I get a break from them.
The weather is rubbish isn't it, I hate having to stay indoors. I went to Tesco but the carpark was packed, no mother and baby spaces and all the trolleys were wet so I just turned round and came home. I have a got a friend coming round later, thankfully, so that will brighten up the afternoon for me.
Anyway, a lovely cheery post from me . Hope everyone else is having a better day.

Hi Girls:cheer2:
Sorry, I sort of lost this thread for a few weeks:oops: not sure how that happened.
LJJ - I can't believe that your wedding day is soo close now. I hope you have a fabby time:rock: and can't wait to hear about it all.
Jane - Barcelona is lovely. I'm so glad you and Alan had a good time and hope you got some :teehee: in while you were away from Lorna.
Jane/Flipflop - I have the same problem with Xander. If I tell him off he just laughs and does it more. There doesn't seem any point getting crosser as it just winds me up and has no effect on him at all:happyno: His fun trick is to constantly get up from the table during meals and run around. He knows it's naughty. He will cry if there is an accident and it's his fault so he knows about being naughty, just not about being told off:doh:
Micah - it would be lovely to see you in July with the extreme sports toddler. Please don't let C teach Xander anything too crazy:ellie:
Andie - I can't wait to hear your baby news. Get on with it girl:lol:
Our news is that we went mad this weekend and got kittens:ellie: OMG, I must be crackers. We got 2 ginger/white little boys who are adorable. Added to the 2 we already have, that's now 4:brainache: I am becoming Mrs McTats:lol:
Mr S may have to work away from home for a few weeks/months which will be weird but I guess I'll adapt OK. I just don't want a laundry mountain every weekend. Talk about feeling like his mummy:rolleyes:
We are desperately trying not to spend money at the moment as we really want to get all the ££ issues sorted out. Between us we earn plenty but we never seem to have any money so it's our plan to get this cracked. Apart from buying kittens of course:oops: we are so crap....
Kisses to everyone:flowers:

Well I spoke to soon about log naps, they've decided that today is a no nap day, so I have been trying to keep them out of the fridge/cupboards etc all day so far. Is it bedtime yet?
My friend should be here soon, thank God.
Spritzer, we are the same with £££, and having just moved to a ridiculously expensive house, we have even less money. With two children though, it is hardly worth me working more as the cost of childcare cancels out a good chunk of what I'd earn.
The kittens sound lovely, we don't have any pets yet, but a kitten would be top of the list.

Great to hear you had a good time in Barcelona Jane, sounds great, will have a look at your photos after posting this. at Lorna and her cleaning, you couldn't send her round, my house is such a mess any sort of cleaning would do.
We have had a bad week, what with my mum falling on Monday and pulling her ligaments and then DS falling on Tuesday and fracturing and dislocating his elbow - that resulted in him being in hospital for 2 days and surgery to wire it into place :-( .
Spritzer - Can't wait to see photos of the new additions, don't mind looking but definitely won't be getting any  , think I have enough to contend with.
Good luck to LJJ on your wedding, Mia loooks lovely in her dress.
Hope things get moving for you soon Andie and you don't have much longer to wait.

Hey Spritzer, congrats again on you bfp:grin:
I'm feeling a bit miserable so probably shouldn't really be posting but I'll tell you anyway.
Alan is going away this Sunday to a job up in Inverness and it's going to last for about FIVE WEEKS!! He'll be home v.late on Friday or even the Saturday and will obviously be leaving again at the crack of dawn on the Monday (or Sunday if I know his boss!!).
I'm really not looking forward to this. I'm going to be so lonely and I know what my temper is like. I'm quite worried that I'm going to end up having a breakdown or something.
He's leaving this Sunday afternoon and I'm on late shift next week so I won't finish work till 6pm, train comes at 6.40pm and I won't get home with Lorna till about 7.15pm by which time I'm going to be knacked but I'll have to take the dog out, get dinner ready, bath Lorna, clean the house, etc, etc, etc.
And once this job is finished in Inverness he's got another one starting Aberdeen that's going to last even longer. How the feck are we supposed to look for houses and get all the odd jobs done in our flat to sell it if he isn't at home? The summer will be over by the time these two jobs are finished and I'll probably be too knackered to be bothered to ttc.
Anyway, it's nearly the weekend. Just hope Alan doesn't think he's going to be going out on his feckin bike tomorrow for hours on end!
How is everyone else getting on?
Lorna is fine by the way

Ah Jane, I'm sorry to hear this. But, as long as he pulls his weight with the family at the weekends and doesn't bog off on his bike it might not be too bad.
You can eat what you want, when you want. the flat will be tidier. No snoring:clap: And, you'll look forward to seeing each other so it might inject a bit of romance back.
Cheeky biscuit - I'm feeling worryingly OK, hope I haven't made the whole thing up:oops: I have enough symptoms to make me think it is all happening but nothing too bad so far. Let's hope it lasts.

:thumb:  Hiya, well Alan left at 1pm yesterday and I was in a bit of a state snivelling like a moron when he left  :loco:
Lorna was playing up and wouldn't go for her nap so I resorted to taking her out for a walk in her buggy even though I looked like shit from crying. Would she sleep, nope! So I took her back home and gave her a strawberry jam sandwich and some milk which unfortunately brought her back to life. Around 3pm I gave her some more milk with some medised in (honestly she IS teething, her top pointy ones are coming through).
It took a full hour after the medised for her to go to sleep. She was staggering about the livingroom and came over to me with her blanket and said "up". So I cuddled her on my lap and within ooooooooh 25 seconds, she was snoring her head off.
I got her back up at 5.30pm though as I didn't want her running around the livingroom all night. She messed about with her dinner, feeding most of it to the ever expanding dog :-( I got her ready for her bath around 7pm and she pee'd on the floor  but these things happen. She went off to sleep without any problems at all at 8.45pm and mummy got to finally flake out on the couch with a glass of wine to watch X factor :cheer2:
I dropped Lorna off at my mum's this morning before I went to work. I'm feeling really sick this morning and absolutely shattered as Lorna was very restless last night and kept waking me up :brainache:
I've got some wallpaper stripping to do tonight and I need to prep the woodwork so I can gloss tomorrow night. I want to get the porch completely finished by the time Alan comes home. It's only small but I'm on lates this week and wont get home till after 7pm so I don't have much time to do it in before I fall asleep.
How are you all doing? Spritzer, Lorna has really started messing on with her food again. She goes from one extreme to the other, scoffing down everything in sight so chucking it all to the dog :bwahaha:

I'm hearing you about the food. We were out for the day with people yesterday, and this one lady just fed Emma crisps ALL day, sayng "oh a 1 off won't hurt her", she did manage to eat some cheese tho' and those pointy teeth are bothering her too, they were coming thro' on our hols so fortunately she seemed quite distracted & by the end of the day too knackered to complain.
Spritzer - what were you lik ewhen you had xander? maybe if your symptoms ar eopposite you will be having a girl? I love the guessing game!.
Big Hugs for Jane, with Alan going away. You & Lorna can have some girl time! Shoppin
g, hairdressers etc?!
We're off to return OHs wedding suit this afternoon - he bought a Ted Baker Endurance one for £400  as it was billed as being a travel-crease proof suit, but it's got a weird creasey bubble on the jacket and we were so careful to carry it as hand luggage & hang it in the captains wardrobe on the plane. Honestly it was only folded in the suit holder for max.4hours! :hissyfit: hope they change it.

The main difference so far is that I don't have headaches like I did last time which is supposed to be a boy thing, so maybe I'm having a girl this time.
However, I am still waiting nervously for morning sickness to kick in (have only felt a bit queasy so far) - which is more likely with a girl so perhaps it is a boy afterall.
I shall ask all the Oct/Nov mummies for their predictions:ellie:
Personally, I'm leaning towards girl at the moment but time will tell.

Well i've finally just had the time to sit and read ALL of this thread :faint: and LORD you girls can't arf GAS :teehee:
My head is spinning with all the posts and tbh i'm all confused about what i've read.
So lets see, whats been happening with us...
Lucy is REALLY growing up, she is talking LOADS now saying tonns of words and seems to pick up new ones every day. She is a real chatterbox and has conversations with the cat. She still talks gibberish most of the time tbh but i can pick out odd words in her "sentances"
She is a REAL madam atm too, i think she could possibly be crowned QUEEN OF THE TANTRUMS as she is terrible. Can be for any reason no matter how big or small, she throws herself on the floor, usually does the splits too, and starts kicking and screaming. Luckily she hasn't done it whilst i've been out in public much but she has done it in front of friends and family so at least now they KNOW i'm not making it up, everyone thinks she is a complete ANGEL child but us Mummies know different eh!
Her eating is still pretty much touch and go, some days she eats loads, others nothing so i guess it balances out. Last time i took her to be weighed she was 20lb 13oz which isn't much considering in October she was 20lb 3oz but i'm not overly concerned about that. She has grown upwards loads and although she has chubby legs still and a little fatty bumbum :teehee: she looks a lot slimmer now. She is still in 9-12 month clothes and her 12-18 stuff is practically hanging off her, depending where its from as she's gone all skinney up top. She could do with some new shoes, but last time she was measured she was still a size 4 in Clarks, as she was in February so i'm keeping her in her little mothercare maryjanes for now or her jellys/sandals if its warm. I've spent this afternoon going through her wardrobe as it needed a real sort out. She's tonns of clothes that she's outgrown so i've sorted out stuff for the charity shop and the rest has gone in the loft (in case i have another pink one one day!) I've also packed all her larger size clothes away in a storage bag under her bed for this autum/winter although if she carried on growing (or not growing) at this rate it'll all be too big for her because its all 18-24 months
We've been slacking going to baby groups later, mainly because i never know when she's going to nap and it makes it awkward, also she's been getting up at 4:30am so by 9:30am i'm shattered already and i can't face a church hall full of screaming toddlers. Hopefully i'll start up again next week, we normally have soft play at the leisure centre on Monday morning 9:30-10:45am, Local Mother and Toddler Group on a Wednesday morning 9:30-11am and then a Church Mother and Toddler Group on Thursday morning 9:30-11am. I meet up with my Mum and Sister once a week too so thats good for her because my Sisters daughter is 9 months.
Lu's fave toys atm are her books still (have a right little book worm here) and her dolly and pram which i'm really pleased about because i LOVED my dolly's when i was a wee girl  She spends ages taking the nappy on and off and also uses her wipes to clean her dolly's bum which is just TOO CUTE :teehee:
Right i think i've babbled on enough here  things between me and DH are ok for the time being, we had our 3rd counselling session on Monday and it all went well. We're given some more "exercises" to practice this week so we've done one of them this evening. They basically involve some roleplay/structured conversations if that makes sense. Basically we get given a list of subjects to discuss (mainly about areas of our realtionship) and have to report back the next week. We're actually really enjoying doing them as its forcing us to spend more time together, which can only be a GOOD thing.
Whilst i think back over the last few pages...
Congrats CB on your Wedding, you looked gorgeous as did Emma and i'm so pleased that your Special Day went well.
Jane, Lorna's pics on the Damsels Mum's Photo's are really lovely, you have a very pretty little girl there.
LJJ, can't believe you're married now, can't wait for you to get back so i can have a nosey at your pics and here how it all went.
Andie, congrats on the birth of Kane, i'm so sorry he's been so poorley, but i hear he is recovering well. Hope he's better soon and hope to see you back on here again shortly.
Spritzer :faint:  at your speed of lightning BFP, i'm extremely jelous :-( but also very pleased for you, Xander is going to make a wonderful Big Brother :cheer2:
Cab, not seen you around much lately, i'm sure you must be very busy with Tom and Alex, hope you're all well.
Oh and Hello FlipFlop
Sorry if i've missed anyone.

Hello,
Spritzer - I predict a pink one this time  my morning sickness kicked in around week 6 which was before I tested   as I didn't actually miss my 1st period as such. So had to have an early scan because of the bleeding. then i was actually sick nearly everyday until I was about 5months when I then had to drink a pint of gaviscon a day to curb the heartburn, oh and keep getting repeat prescriptions for canestan  - and i want to do it all again?!
That is so cute that Xander calls himself Bear
Jane - how's it going without Alan? are you loking forward to your reuniion((is it this weekend?).
Katy - glad things are getting better with you & OH, it must be so difficult. Youre really brave to face the problems head on like that, well done! Emma's feet haven't grown since feb either, she is still a 3, so her 2nd pair of shoes were "Startrite 1st shoes" :teehee: she does seem to have got taller recently, but 9-12 trousers still bury her, so she is in 6-9. which is v. handy as her cropped trousers & shorts from last summer are getting extra wear :teehee: she needs a 12-18 top to conceal her big buddha belly though :teehee:

Hiya ladies
Good to hear you and your DH and still doing the counselling and it certainly sounds like it's working for you!
Lorna is in most of her 12-18 month stuff now although some of the trousers from Primark are still waaaaaaaaaay too long. She's doing a lot better and slept from 8.30pm last night until 8am this morning. I had got up a bit earlier to have a shower and I'd just sat down with a coffee and a bit of toast when I heard her  She's pulled the zip up in her grobag and had her legs sticking out the bottom.
When I dropped her into nursery he wee pals all ran up to her and Ewan squeeled, "Lorna, girlfriend" :lurve: It's quite cute and I know it's all just a bit of fun but I think she's a bit young for things like that. Probably just being an old fuddy duddy but I think she's got plenty of time for boyfriends when she's older :zombie:
Yes Alan is home today at some point. I've stoopidly got the car key with me though and we don't have a spare so he can't pick me and Lorna up tonight :-( I don't know if he's going back to Inverness on Sunday or Monday either and now it looks like my mum has cancelled her visit to mine for a few days at the beginning of next week. It's all a bit :pants:
The weather is meant to be really lovely tomorrow though so hopefully Alan, Lorna and I will get out somewhere nice for a few hours.
Hope everyone is having a luffly Friday!!

Bless Lorna and her BF at nursery!! Lucy is really taken with our friends little boy David who is 5, she LOVES him and follows him round like a love sick puppy and friends and family make comments like "oh can you imagine if they get married" and i just think :loco: :loco: I'm like she is 18 months FFS!!
Hope you have a lovely weekend with Alan being back, the weather is just brilliant here but i'm keeping Lu out of the sun today as i have a sneaking suspiction that the reason she puked yesterday morning was because the day before MIL had her out in the garden all day. She was plastered in SPF5 and had a hat on but i think the heat exhausted her and knocked her sick, its the only thing i can think of as she didn't eat anything out of the ordinary and once she'd been sick apart from being very tired she was fine, which seems a lot like sunstroke to me :-( I take extra special care to make sure i'm careful with her in the sun, ok so i won't put her in those safe in the sun suits but i don't expose her to the sun totally and for hours on end, she's always creamed up and has always got a hat on. Its annoyed me that MIL could be so careless in the sun with my baby  :-(
Anyway, Lu is just eating her lunch, a nice wholemeal cob with butter, some sugarsnap peas and raw carrots and a couple of seafood sticks (her absolute fave atm) then we're heading off up to the shops. I have a huge bag of soft toys and baby clothes to take to the charity shop so we'll have to drive up unfortunatley, i'd have liked a walk but there is no way i can carry the bag all that way plus i don't want Lu in the sun much.
Might pop into the park on the way out of the shops if its not overly busy.
Nothing planned for this weekend although i understand the World Cup starts tomorrow. DH is working in the am so i'm not sure whether he'll go round a mates to watch the footy afterwards or if he'll go to teh pub to watch it, i'd rather him be elsewhere than invite everyone round here again. I'm still getting straight after last weekends BBQ.
Hope everyone has a nice weekend.

Hi,
Hope Alan is back with you now Jane & you get a fab family day tomorrow :ellie:
I alway joke about my friends little boy who is a year older than em, that he will be buying her diamond white when he's older :teehee: he is always saying "Emma house" or "Emma car" or on Tuesday "emma pool" etc. But I know what you mean, some of the old folk take it that step further don't they?!
OH has football=itis, I am soooo bored of it already!!!!!
Emma has been whingy tonight, then she split her lip in a freak accident, she was trying to bite the handle on the side of the bath when OH decided to dry her hair  so she bit the handle & caught her lip and it bled  I was so mad at OH!!!! She had a little cuddle & was fine though.
When is Jo back?!

Hi CB  Big  for Emma's sore Lip!! Lucy launched herself off the sofa last weekend and bit the inside of her bottom lip, it bled for ages and ages but it didn't bother her one bit  as usual, so 10 mins later she did it again :loco: :teehee:
Well i've had a great day shopping for clothes for myself :ellie: have posted my purchases over in fashion if anyone is intrested.
I think Joanne is back after this weekend, isn't she! It will be 2 wks Saturday that she got married and i don't think they went away til the Sunday/Monday!! I hope she's had a fab time and i can't wait to see the wedding pics!!

So how is everyone's weekend going?
We've had a lovely weekend so far, haven't left the house apart from the garden but its been nice to spend time together as a family and Lu loves the garden.
She's napping for the 2nd time today (think the heat has knocked her out) and so we've come in to cool off for a bit (its roastign outside)
Yesterday we had a BBQ, well we did today as well, and played in the garden with Lu. The cat caught 4 baby birds (think he found a nest :( ) but luckily i managed to get 2 of them off him and DH took them to a Animal Sanctuary and hopefully the staff said they'll be able to save them!! :thumb: unfortunately the other 2 birds were dead by the time we got hold of them off the cat :-(
Lu is having great fun outside, she LOVES her paddling pool. She did have a larger one (around 3ft across) but its a bugger to clean so i pumped up her tiny Tesco one (about 1ft) and she loves it just as much. She is also really into her sandpit which just gets filled with water because we couldnt stop her eating the sand  but she still really enjoys herself. its one of those ones on legs like a table and she can now climb up and sit in it :loco:  :teehee:
She loves having her sun lotion on so she's really easy to take care of in the sun, plus she's really into havign her hat and glasses on atm too :cheer2: :cheer2: which makes life easier for me.
She hasn't been eating very well teh last 4 days but i'm putting it down to the heat.
We're having another lazy day tomorrow i think, Dh will be back at work but me and Lu will chill in the garden. On Tuesday we're going for a day out with my old work friend who had a little girl Last September, we're going to a local country park where they have a little farm/petting zoo type thing and taking a picnic, hopefully this weather will hold out til then.
Hope everyone else is having a lovely weekend and enjoying the sun!!
Spritzer, how are you feeling, i hated being hot when i was pg, even though i was mainly pg through the winter. We went to italy when i was about 14 wks and it was a nightmare i couldn't stand being in the sun How are you coping? Hope you're not too uncomfortable.
CB and LJJ now you're both MRS will you be ttc right away  :cheer2:
We've put ttc on hold atm, we didn't *try* this month because we had that row at CD8 and haven't dtd since  :sigh: so no chance this month!! Not sure when we'll start again, or even if we will which is a gutting thought considering we've been through hell the last 8 months trying really hard for another baby :-( AF is due any day and i'm feeling pretty crappy about that side of things although on a plus point me and DH are getting on really well

Hi Girls:wave:
I only really get on here at work:oops: as my PC at home is in a room where Xander can't come so I can't watch him and chat. But, it's great to hear all the news.
Katy, I would say you are spot on about what made Lucy sick - I would be :bwahaha: too that someone made my baby sick by letting her have too much sun.
Thanks for worrying about me in the heat. I am not too bad, same as everyone really but I can't sleep at all and so that is not great. Still luckily not having bad symptoms, just a bit of nausea every now and then and I could be as much as nearly 7 weeks (I have short cycles) so fingers crossed it won't get much worse.
Just munching a solero at the moment and it's great. I do find I'll suddenly massively go off the idea of whatever I've got in for meals so it makes planning tricky.
Very much expecting LJJ, Jane and CB to be joining me soon - and Katy, if that's what you and DH decide
CB - I also think I'm having a girl. Dunno why, just a feeling.

Bet you can't wait for your scan Spritzer!! Are you going to find out the flavour or keep it as a surprise??
Well I'm completely knackered and looking forward to Alan coming home tomorrow night. Every night this week when I've got in from work I've been decorating and it's taken it's toll. I took the day off work but kept Lorna off nursery and she's run me ragged. We had Redtiger and her wee girl Abby and Ryan over last night so it unfortunately had Lorna over excited and she didn't go to bed until after 10pm.
Once I got her settled I had to paint the porch ceiling before heading to bed myself. It's only small but it still zapped me of all my energy. Today she wouldn't go for a nap so I took her out in the buggy for 2 hours and she still wouldn't sleep. Eventually around 3.30pm she nodded off so I managed to get the porch wallpapered and all of the washing hung out to dry.
Then since she's gone to bed tonight at 8.30 I've given all of the woodwork in the porch another coat of gloss. Now I know nobody was making me do all of this but I just sort of wanted to prove a point to Alan that it shouldn't take two years to finish decorating a bathroom and that I can decorate the porch in just a few days as well as going to work, looking after Lorna AND running the house :thumb:
By feck I'm done in now though :zombie: Right, I'm heading off to bed now, got work in the morning boohoooooooo.

Morning ladies
Jane well done you for getting all the decorating done, i don't know how you've managed it, no wonder you feel like :zombie: i  to you
I can't believe the bathroom never got finished  i remember talking about it with you when we were waiting to pop and funnily enough having the SAME sandwiches every day  which got a bit spooky  :teehee: :teehee:
We're ok here, Lu is getting to be a cheeky little so and so and her speach is coming on amazingly, we're getting sentances whenshe feels like it now, and i swear she could probably hold a conversation but she's acting the dummy :yeahright:
She's obsessed with shoes atm, and always wants something on her feet so she's been living in her pink jelly shoes  she even napped in them yesterday
She's really getting into drawing and she LOVES her Aquadraw Pet and fingers crossed she's not attempted once to draw on any of her other toys :thumb: when we go out i tell her to grab a toy to take in the car and she always goes for her Aqudraw rabbit  and her usual stinking pink bear :loco:
Her eating is getting better, i've cut out snacks throughout the day and it seems to be helping. If we go out and about i'll just take a few ricecakes and a tub of dried fruit so as not to fill her up too much.
We're having problems with her waking at night atm and its getting very tiring now  she's waking up any time between midnight and 4am and then stays wide awake for about 3 hours, then goes back to sleep. I can't ignore her when she wakes because she's quite loud and sometimes screams and cries, normally though she's just awake playing and talking to herself. After being up 1/2 the night she STILL gets up at 6:30am-7am so i'm really not getting much kip as i usually don't get to bed til midnight myself  i'm hoping its just another phase and she'll grow out of it.
I have my Mum and Sister coming over today, hopefully the sun will stay out and we can go and sit in the garden. Its so much easier to entertain Lucy outside, give her a pit of water to play in and she's well away :teehee:
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend, and have a nice time with Alan when he gets back Jane

Hi Jane
I've just gotten in from a day at the football and in the pub all evening  just came on here to wind down for 1/2 an hour before i go to bed.
I had Lu measured last week and she's grown a WHOLE size not just 1/2 since she was last measured and is now a 5F, i was a bit    because she was measured 6 wks ago and was still a 4F like she was in Feb!
Are these the shoes you got Jane
http://i5.tinypic.com/14sduvr.jpg
I really like them but for some reason Lu couldn't walk in them properly  she was better in the plain pink/white ones with bows on (i posted them on my thread the other day!) I didn't get her any at the time because i couldn't decide but she's fine in her sandals for the moment so i think i'll hang fire another couple of weeks in case her feet grow any more.

Yes those are the ones Katy but the soles are navy blue not brown and they look sooooooooo much better than the one's in that picture. They have little red flowers on the bottom of the soles too and they look a lot better irl than in those pics (part of the reason I didn't post a link to the site :teehee: ).
Glad you had a good day. We did feck all apart from drive to the vets to get Holly's tablets then to Mothercare and for some unknown reason Alan wouldn't come in with us??? Then we drove home and Lorna was being a little runt and wouldn't have her nap again. In the end she fell asleep during her dinner at 5.30. Completely passed out in her highchair with a piece of fishcake still on the fork in her hand. This of course had a knock on effect and I fell asleep at 6pm, Lorna woke up and Alan put her on the couch next to me and she fell asleep again. We both woke up at 7.30pm!! She was in the bath at 8.45pm and didn't go to sleep until just after 10pm.
But nope we didn't get a sleep in, she was awake at 6.30am this morning although fell back off again after she had her milk. Alan's alarm went off at 8.30am as he wanted to be up earlish to go out on his bike. And that's exactly what he's done, fecked off on his bike. I'm only letting him away with it because it's freakin father's day
And my mum phoned yesterday so say that her uncle died on Friday night. You remember how my grandad died in January, well this is his favourite brother that's died now. Mum thinks the funeral is going to be either Tuesday or Wednesday so she's going to have to go back down to England for a few days which leaves me completely in the lurch with Lorna!! And of course my dad won't keep Lorna because he refuses to change nappies wtf!!!! If the funeral is Wed my mum will have to travel down on the Tuesday so I'll have to beg the nursery to take her an extra day (they require a full weeks notice  ) or else I'm going to have to take the day off work. It's crap not having any other family round about in case of emergencies

Househunting is driving me mad.
Hi Ladies
How are you all doing?
Well my two boys are asleep and DH is out for the day with his family and my mum has gone home so today was the first day on my own really.
It ahs been ok so far but the worst is still to come, getting dinner ready and bedtime.
Kane is putting on weight and I just hope that its enough so that he doesn't have to go into the hospital as I really cannot be coping with that.
Dylan is a wee darling with him and is generally very careful around him.
Do you remember ages ago we had some hassle with the colleague of Walter and her husband well we found out yesterday evening that the guy hung himself in the garden shed.....scary he has left 2 little boys behind and he didn't write a note or anything.
Walter and I are still not getting on great and to be honest sometimes I wonder if there is more to his relationship with his female colleague than meets the eye. He has denied it but I am still not sure. I guess it will all come out soon now that her ex is not around anymore.
Anyway enough doom and gloom from me. Can someone tell me how to attach an image so I can shop pictures?

It's so good to hear from you Andie, how you find time to post when you have 2 is beyond me. Have some :choc: .
I'm not surprised things are strained between you & Walter when you have 2 children, esp. with the stressfulness of Kane being poorly.
That man hanging himself is so sad  . Is this the one who thought Walter was having an affair with his wife? You have to trust your instincts on that and if you believe he isn't then that is who's opinions count iyswim.

Hi Andie
First of all, really good to hear that kane is putting on some weight :thumb:
I would have hoped the problems you were having with Walter would have subsided by now. I'm sorry that they're not.
When you were discussing Walter's colleague and her husband you said right from the off that there was no truth in it and you completely trusted Walter. What has happened to make you question your judgement?? Is it purely because the woman's husband killed himself? I think the man was obviously mentally unstable and was no doubt convinced in his own mind his wife was having an affair but I'm sure that's all it was Andie. The ramblings of a very ill and paranoid man. I don't mean to sound awful but maybe now that he's gone things might get better.
I'm going for lunch but will write more when I return.

Andie, I really wish there was something I could do to help you out. You know if I could bring you and the boys here to stay with me I would do it in a flash. I really hate to hear you sounding so unhappy. You've been through so much already and your worries about Kane and now all of this
You deserve a bloody medal you do Andie. It's a pity Walter can't see that for himself and show you some respect. I don't want to speak out of turn or upset you Andie but you are being completely undervalued at home. It might be the way the Dutch live, and more fool them but ateotd you're not Dutch and you're not a fecking doormat.
You need support, love, understanding and help with the children and the house and you should be getting that from your husband. Again I apologise for sticking my beak in but I'm really angry on your behalf Andie.

Well Fudge still isn't back :sigh: we've had the bathroom window open all night and both me and DH went round the block in the car twice each last night to have a look for him and no sign. Lucy is asking for him now and i've told her he's gone on holiday, she doesn't understand and she said "at Nanny's" so i just said yes, but she's going to MIL's tomorrow and is going to be disappointed when Fudge isn't there :-(

Katy, any sign of fudge yet?
Well what a frickin day yesterday was. I've never been so happy to go to my bed at the end of a day!!
It started off with Lorna not going to bed until after 9pm on Tuesday night. I went to bed at 10.15pm and she woke up so I had to settle her back to sleep which took till about 10.45pm. Then my mobile goes off next to me at 11.50pm, my work colleague has just discovered a burst pipe and will I cover her late shift tomorrow!!! This in turn wakes up Lorna......... get her back off to sleep about 12.15am. Lorna wakes up at least once an hour for the rest of the night crying out in pain with her teeth. She decides it's time to get up and play at 6.15am a whole hour and fifteen minutes before my alarm is due to go off
As I don't have to go into work until 9.30am and the weather is dreadful I decide I'll just get a taxi. Phone for a taxi at 8.50am as there is a rank just a few minutes away and they turn up really quickly. Get disconnected three times when dialling the taxi firm, eventually get through to an operator who advised me there's at least a 30 minute wait as this is the Children's Charity Fun Day where loads of kids are taken by Taxi (for free) 30 miles away to the seaside  As I've just missed a train at 8.49am I phone work and tell them I'm going to be late. The weather is like something you'd expect in December/January, blowing a gale, trees bending and roof tiles coming off, not to mention the torrential rain!!! I head over to the train station, passing the taxi rank and stand there, drenched looking at two dozen taxi's sitting with their 'for hire' lights on :hissyfit: So I got a taxi afterall but with all of the extra traffic on the road it end up costing me over £8. Dropped Lorna off and she screamed the place down, obviously she's picked up on me being stressed so decided to have a bit of a hissy fit herself! Then as I was running late I rushed along the corridor of the nursery to get out and tripped over my own feet and when flying my full length. Thank God nobody was watching (I hope)
Thankfully work wasn't too bad but as you can imagine I was completely shattered after having hardly any sleep through the night. So as I was covering for my colleague I didn't finish work till 6pm. Picked up Lorna from nursery and headed off again in the rain and gales to the train station. Q big boards saying "ALL TRAINS CANCELLED DUE TO POINTS FAILURE". Yes, just one more thing to piss me off! I asked the station master what was going on and he said there were no trains at all coming through that station for the rest of the night and I'd have to walk to the main station which was about a mile and a half away and the next train wouldn't be due until 7pm!!!!!!!! That meant the train would get me home around 7.15pm but I'd still have to bump the buggy up 45 steps at the station, up the hill, across the bridge and down another 35 steps to my house......... and all in the feckin wind and rain. So I stood there and burst into tears and phoned Alan who proceeded to tell me that there was nothing he could do about it (he's still in Inverness) so I put the phone down on him.
I really didn't know what to do as it was the same distance to get to the bus station and I thought everyone would be in the same boat and all clammering for taxi's. Imagine my utter joy though when I walked a couple of blocks to the main shopping street and saw 3 taxis coming along the road  I jumped in and actually managed to get home for £5.40 and it was still only 6.35pm :cheer2:
Lorna was very, very good last night and went to bed without any fuss at 8.45pm. I decided that I was going to sleep on the sofa as I was really needing my beauty sleep. I dragged through my pillow and my double duvet and slept like a baby all night long. It felt like I was lying on a cloud :thumb:
So today it's rather windy out but the sun is shining and I feel so much better for my good night sleep. Lorna was a good girl and the trains were on time this morning. I had a Subway for my breakfast and work is ok too. I finish at 5pm tonight so I'll be home for 5.45pm and can have a good old play around with Lorna before her dinner and bath. Then Alan is home tomorrow and he can take over lol.
Lorna's nursery has a mobile film unit coming in today. They sit the kids in one of those little motorised jeeps in front of a blue background and stream in films of safari animals and stuff. We will get the video home tonight to watch and see if we want to pay for/keep it. Oooh I can't wait to see it. She's got her nice denims on and her No Added Sugar 'Enjoy Milk' t-shirt on and her hair is up in pigtails.
Flaming norra, this is quite long isn't it :teehee:

p.s. I was thinking about Cab71 this morning, I really miss her. Does anyone have her email addy?
Hello ladies
Sorry don't have much time to chat at the moment as there always seems to be something to do. Plus I am still expressing Kane's feeds so that takes up a lot of time and its starting to get a bit tiresome.
Things are going better with Kane he is now over 3 kilos so hopefully he will be able to drink on the boob soon otherwise I am going to just have to switch over to formula as its getting hard and my nips are sore  Its really not as nice as feeding your baby being attached to a pump.
Dylan is adorable with him and only has a few moments when he wants to have all my attention but Kane is so good that most of the time I can read or play with Dylan during the day as well.
Yesterday they both had a nap at the same time which meant I could get some cleaning and stuff done.
W and I are still having a few problems but we are really trying to work things out as neither of us want to split up and we both want the other person to change back a little to the person that we fell in love with as well as accepting the changes as parents etc.
He is really busy for the next 2 weeks (as usuak I hear you cry) and then we are going to try and organise a night out for just the 2 of us. It doesn't help that his colleague is off at the minute as well. Anyway enough said about her the better.
Miriam I have not had a chance to ask HOW WAS THE WEDDING??
and LJJ DID YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY?
Katy is Fudge back yet?
Jane hope your day is better than yesterday.
Well going to have a cup of tea and then I am going to vacuum the living roon as we have some visitors coming this afternoon.
Oh do you like my sig pics taken with my new camera?

Andie I love the pics of the boys and wow, hasn't Dylan got even cuter!!
It's good to hear you being a bit more positive today. I think Alan and I feel a lot like you and Walter. We both still really love each other and don't want to split up but like you say we would like each other to change a bit but I think that'll take a while. I can't stop moaning at him but I know it's because we haven't moved house yet. And he keeps spending money as though he's a bachelor and has no family responsibilities.
Good that things are on track and yes, less said about W's colleague the better huh? I hope you get your night out together sorted. Who's going to look after both of the boys?

hello all, havent really had time to post lately, been so busy. I feel that the days i have off, i really must do stuff around the house when mia is sleeping. Today during her nap i am going to make her cottage pie. Then wizz around and tidy up and stuff. We have been to Jo Jingles this mornign and she did quite well with some of the actions and instruments, she only ran around a little today.
Mia is eating her lunch right now, sundried pate on toast, then she can have a couple of strawberries and then a chocolate roll thing as a treat.
Andie i had a lovely day thank you, i have posted some pictures in wedding photo's not sure if you have seen them. Sorry to hear about that guy not what you and Walter need after his accusations. Good luck, and Kane looks really cute and how Dylan has grown.
Work is really busy right now, have not stopped since i have been back.
We have booked a long weekend away to Kerry in Ireland to visit a friend of mine, she has 2 children. They came to the wedding and we felt so bad as we didnt really speak to them. I am really looking forward to that. They said they will get a baby sitter and we can go out one night, they live 10 minutes from town and 4 miles from the airport.
Miriam how are you, we havent spoke in ages?
Jane I feel so bad I havent sent you any stickers and I didnt send the first person on the list any. I will sort myself out. Thank you for Mia's she loves stickers right now.
Right better go

How are we all today? I slept on the couch again last night and had an ok sleep but the dog kept on having noisy dreams, legs flailing all over the place and kept disturbing me
I ended up having a bizarre dream that Alan phoned me to say he's going on an aviation training course next week then he's going to go and do a job building an aeroplane in ........................ Japan!!! WTF, my dreams are so berluddy mental these days!
Well I'm on late shift tonight so don't finish till 6pm. Hopefully Alan will be back in time to pick me and Lorna up though so keep your fingers crossed.
Lorna's video that was made in the nursery yesterday was fab. I've uploaded some pics I took of the telly while it was playing and their in damsels mum pics if you want a nosey at them!

Hi everyone
I will try and remember everyones posts, but now there isn't the posts at the bottom of the page when you're typing your reply i get a bit lost.
Andie, your boys are absolutley gorgeous, you must be so proud!! Sorry to hear things aren't going too well with you and Walter atm, i hope you can both sort things out.
LJJ when are you going on your long weekend, i bet you need a break after your honeymoon
Jane, sorry to hear that you had a bad day, sounds like a complete nightmare. Have seen Lorna's video, well the stills you took of it and its fab, my Brother had one done at his nursery last xmas and it was brilliant :thumb: I can't get over how much hair she has, love the pigtails, Lu is very jelous!!
Well Lucy has been being a little SOD since MIL had her on Wednesday, she hasn't stopped moaning and she's driving me up the fecking wall. I was supposed to meet my friends for coffee and so the kids could play this afternoon but i cancelled because i couldn't bear taking her out as she's playing up so much atm  i ended up having to get out of the house though and walked down to the shops, she lost her bear 3 times and i had to go racing round the shops to find it. We went to the park on the way back and she refused to walk on the reigns, just threw herself onto the floor and had a paddy, everyone was staring at her and i just picked her up and put her in the buggy and went home.
She's just had her dinner and i'm about to go run her a bath, i can't wait for her to go to bed tonight my head is thumping.
Had a brilliant time at the concert on Wednesday, it was absolutely amazing and i'm goign again to Milton Keynes on Sunday now too, with my Mum!! :thumb:
Oh news... Lu has 2 new teeth, i think they are her fangs?? She has 10 now altogether, she has the front top 4 and front bottom 4, then has a space each side at teh top then these new ones.
ETA: Miriam, forgot to say hello to you.
PS: Fudge turned up on Tuesday evening, he came in through the bathroom window whilst Dh was in the bath, he smelled of sawdust so we reckon he'd been locked in somewhere.

katy, we are going 31st August for about 3 nights. We are only going to take 3 carry on bags, and plan to travel light. All the toiletries and stuff they will have, and will buy nappies over there, she has 2 children 1 older and 1 younger than Mia, so she will have agreat time.
We went to Lakeside tonight and spent some of our Vouchers, we bought some scales and then a spice rack, but the spice rack was broke, so have to take that back. Exciting things
Princess Fiona

Sounds good LJJ, i'm sure Mia will have a fab time :thumb:
How exciting spending your vouchers. I remember when we went to start spending ours got loads of stuff for the house and we still have around £500 left for when we evenutally move into our own house. I think i'll use them to do Lucy's princess room, i have it all planned out, and i can't wait, sad isn't it!!
How is Mia's speach coming on now, i bet she doesn't stop talking now, i know Lucy doesn't. She's onto about 5 new words every week now, sometimes more, and she really copies everything you say, i'm having to be SO careful because at times my language can be awful. I'm having to try and stop myself from telling her to "shutup" because she kkeeps saying it    I just can't help it when she's squeeling down my ear
She has a cold atm, which probably explains why she's been so grumpy the past 2 days, i always feel bad because i thought she was just playing up but she was obviously feeling out of sorts   just a runny nose at but she was sniffling all night and kept waking up so i'm shattered.
I'm a bit concerned about Sunday, i'm off to the TT concert at Milton Keynes and Dh will have to have Lu from about 11am til i get home, it will be the longest time he's had her for on his own, i'm sure he'll be fine but i'm worried he won't be able to cope, i'm sure he'll do a better job than me, maybe thats what i'm worried about.
Hope everyone has a good weekend, and are we all officially TTC again now?? Apart from Jane who will be joining us very shortly i understand  :thumb: Race you to the finishing line girls :teehee:

Oh gawd, we'd slipped to page 3 ladies :boobies:
Well not very much news from me to report apart from Alan has finished that job now in Inverness, but his next big job in Aberdeen starts on the 15th of July :hissyfit:
We are going to view a house tomorrow night at 7pm so wish us luck. It's in the area that we want to buy in although it's an estate and I'm really not used to living like that with houses opposite me and I worry that I might feel rather claustrophobic :sigh: But anyway, it's been on the market for at least 2 months now and there's no offers or anything just now so I hope that isn't a bad omen. It's a 3 bed semi with an integral garage so somewhere for Alan to put his beloved bike and his car that he never, ever bluddy drives! I've also arranged to get someone to value our house but she can't come until next Thursday.
This could be it girls.............. we could be moving house soon and Lorna could be getting her own room before she turns 2!!!!!!!!!!!!
How is everyone else doing?

How exiting Jane!! I'm so pleased for you that things seem to be progressing. I can't imagine sharing a room with Lucy now   Hope it goes well and hope the house is good enough for you :thumb:
Not much to report here, Lucy is being her usual self, angel one minute, diviant the next  She's coming along great with her speach and this week we've added, Zebra, Shut up and keeky (cheeky) to her vocab
We're going swimming this afternoon with MIL, she's a member of a gym at a hotel and we get to use the pool for free so she invited us along. Lu is just napping so she'll have to have her lunch before we leave.
Hope everyone else is ok
Oh Jane I will keep my fingers crossed for you for the house.
Tho I did read the bit about her own room before 2 but I thought it said before number 2 arrives sort of thing.
Not always the brightest of ones y'know.
Well you have all seen my other thread so i won't go into it here.
Kane is doing really well and he sleeps all night normally from around 11pm until 6-7am so i have nothing to complain about there. Dylan is still poorly tho and sooooooo clingy and keeps having mad tantrums and I just end up laughing as they are so funny looking...mean mummy.
Well the bf is nearly at an end as I am not making enough for Kane's feeds and he is not overly interested in drinking from the boob tho funnily it was the only thing that settled him this morning so I am going to try for about another week or so as its just getting too hard.
I am devastated about it and its not helping on top of everything else but you know I will finally wise up and get over it in a few days
Katy its good that your DH is taking Lu it will be a good experience for him and don't worry he won't break her she is more likely to break him.
Jane I so totally I want Lorna to come here and live as she is sooooooo gorgeous she has such a sparkle in her eyes in that picture. Send me a pm about you and Alan tho as I have not had a chance to catch up on all your posts and I want to know how you are doing.
Well off now to squeeze my boobs and try and get some lunch for Kane.
xx
Firstly, Andie...GO YOU :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:    . Well done for taking control with Walter, you have so done the right thing and I really hope it all works out for you.
Hope everyone else is doing OK, nobody has post-nuptial depression
Mrs D- I'm not TTC and have no intention to (now!) Was going to, but then realised there's no rush so I'm going to wait until we're in a better situation and I can enjoy it. Still think it would have been nice to have two close together, and C is so good with babies, but so stressful
We're still in the "schweetie" phase, although will try "cisps" as an alternative, but I'm evil and just tell her no :bwahaha: :bwahaha: . I have started disciplining her a bit more now, she is so sweet it melts my heart. I turn my back on her and she gets really upset, then when she comes to me I get her do do something "good" like pick things off the floor, and give her lots of praise before having a big cuddle. She really tries...yesterday she was picking every little thing up and bringing it to me so she could be a good girl. I just hope it keeps working!
Well better get back to work

hello, good luck with the house jane, i hope you love it, but if not i am sure another will come along.
I have been a bit down the last couple of days. Andy and I had a bit of an argument on Sunday, so not sure if it stemed from that. We are talking and all that, was fine the next day. I used to get like this a lot, but the trouble is when you have an active toddler who doesnt talk, doesnt listen, and just runs all over the place it is really getting me down even more. Today at Jo Jingles I almost just grabbed her and walked out. She just wont sit still. All the other children are okay, even the younger ones.
Mrs D, Mia still doesnt really say much at all, she does say bye, shoes, teeth, and today we learnt Pop, not that she has any idea what it means. She says Beebies, and P for Pengu, and B for banana, but that is only after i say it.
Wow this post is so negative, sorry to bring the happiness down
Princess Fiona
29-06-2006, 10:10pm
Joanne, sorry you are feeling so down :grouphug:
Lucy is exactly the same, doesn't listen to a word i say when i'm out and i've avoided her baby groups for a few weeks because i just can't bear people staring at me when she has one of her "paddy's" i KNOW all other children can be the same but it always seems to be ME stuck with the difficult child and i just can't cope with it when i'm out.
She CAN be an absolute sweetheart, she DOES do things i ask her, fetches her shoes, her cup can follow basic instructions but when she decides to be difiant, NOTHING i say works :sigh:
We went swimming today with MIL and Lu seems to be going through a bit of a clingy stage, i think it could be becuase i left her on 2 separate occasions last week, Wednesday when i went to see TT at Cardiff she stayed overnight with MIL and on Sunday when i went to see TT at Milton Keynes she stayed with DH all day (for the 1st time really) and so i think she's a bit clingy. She wouldn't go near MIL and was screaming when she came near her, i couldn't have a proper swim or go in the jaccuzi because she wouldn't let MIL hold her. I couldn't even get dressed properly and ended up sending MIL out to the car to bring the buggy in so i could strap her in whilst i got dressed because she wouldn't let MIL hold her  Lord knows how people cope taking a toddler swimming by themselves

hello, well i am off to bed now, i think i have been having too many late nights. I was talking to a lady at Jo Jingles and I kind of related to what she said. When she first went with her son, he was like Mia, not sitting still, screaming, causing havoc, she thought about not going, thought he was retarded. Then one day he got it. She does lay down to some of the songs, that you need to lay down at.
Anyway, MrLJj bought me home some flowers today, to cheer me up. He rang me earlier and I was laying down when Mia was asleep, he said he knew I was fed up as I have been like this for hte last few nights. So that was a nice surprise.
This afternoon we had her cd on, and Pop goes the Weasel came on, and she recognized it from earlier today and started saying Pop all the way through it.
Right i am off now.
Night night all

Aww how lovely of Mr LJJ, bless him!!
I'm sure the more you take her to JoJingles the more she'll recognise the songs and will probably start doing the actions too etc. I'm sure its just so exciting for her she doesn't know what to do 1st when she gets there.
Oh can I just say that Dylan has actually got some words now I am totally astounded. He can say
Nana - banana
boo - book
ba - ball
baaaaa - baa baa black sheep
bye (obvious really)
bed
Kaaaaa - Kane
Bob - bob the builder
He also says
Kijk - dutch for look
Dag dag - dutch for bye and then he waves in their face
Book and ball sound the same in dutch as well.
He understands both languages already tho and he can call for his liitle girlfriend AAAAAAMMMMM her name is amber.
The other day he also shook someones hand to say goodbye and I have no idea where he got that from.
Ok my VPMM and boasting is over now.
Off now to see if my wee one is awake for his feed yet.
Princess Fiona
29-06-2006, 10:55pm
Thats great Andie!! I'm impressed he can understand both languages, but i guess if they get used to them enough at an early age they're going to pick them up aren't they. My friends Mum is German and her Mum has her LO 3 days a week, and she is now 3 and can speak fluent English and German, she is a very very clever girl anyway but i'm always so impressed by her speach.
Lucy say's loads of words now and has even started stringing them together. She copies more or less everything i say which isn't always a good thing as she told Daddy to "shut it" the other day!! My favourite thing to get her to say is "Daddy stink" hahaha!!

Morning ladies and babies how are we all doing today then?
Well I've got my house viewing tonight. I'm trying not to get overly excited about it as knowing my luck there'll be something majorly wrong with it
Anyway.......... Alan is working tomorrow which is a total bummer. I asked my mum if she wanted to come over but she's dogsitting so turned me down  I was hoping for a bit of a break as I've had a bit of a stomach bug the last few days and I'm feeling really shattered.
Lorna is just getting really hard to handle these days. I do admit the majority of the time she's as good as gold but sometimes she gets that wicked look in her eye and you just know you're in for a time of it. And don't talk to me about speach, she's such a cheeky brat! Like Lucy she's stringing proper sentences together and have to put up with comments from her like "Lorna no go to bed, mummy bad", "dinner yukky mummy" but she is quite cute when she stands at the back door and shouts on the dog "Holly, IN! Dinner Holly" and then when Holly obeys she says "eat dinner, door close" and shuts the back door. Oh and in the station she queels when she hears the lady announce the train and shouts "woooo Lorna, train, in there mummy (pointing to the tracks), home" and claps. And of course the usual cry from her when I bring her sleeping bag through and tell her it's bedtime is "noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, not tired. Up play" :happyno:
She's getting on my wick following me about the house again too. I think I must have bumped into her about 5 times this morning in the space of an hour and each time she fell on her bum and started whinging. I just don't realise she's right up my arse so it's not deliberate. It does get right on my nerves though when the dog does it at the same time :brainache:
And the obsession with the dummy is back again. I could have killed Alan last night as he got her to start sucking her thumb instead and she was doing it this morning :bwahaha:
Right better get on with some work!

Oh i SO know where you're coming from Jane re: them following you about, Lucy is terrible and i'm forever knocking her flying, which makes her whinge and moan even more, as if we need MORE of it. I can't get anything done when she's awake, its just impossible, i'm struggling to get ready in the mornings and get out of the house because i end up spending an hour cleaning up the mess she's made whilst i've been getting ready etc.
She's asleep atm and has had a good sleep, went down about 10:30 so a nice long break for me, i've dusted the whole house apart from her room, vacced upstairs and down adn mopped the floors downstairs and put some washing on. WHen Lu wakes up she'll have her lunch and then i'll take her for a walk up to teh shops and maybe to the park.
We're off to a kids football presentation tonight so Lu will have great fun running round with all the boys, its on all night til about midnight so hopefully she'll sleep through the end of it too!!
Whats everyone else up to this weekend.
Oh god are they all going through this stage then? Dylan screamed for TWO HOURS this morning for no real reason except that I would not stand up and hold him in my arms. I was trying to cuddle him but I wanted to sit down so then he got stroppy again and started hitting at me.
I actually swore at him and told him to shut up or I would give him something to cry for. Oh no I have turned into my family members.
We went out for a walk this morning and he was as good as gold walking around and had a couple of goes on the slide at the park.
Thankfully now he is sleeping but he will be waking up again soon no doubt.
I am shattered tho and had such a headache this morning.
As we were walking he saw some birds and normally he tries to whistle but this time he actually said BIRD i was astounded. Maybe this means he will finally start talking.
This weekend we have friends coming over to see Kane for the first time and we are having the neighbours over for dinner as a thank you for babysitting Dylan loads.
We were going to cancel everything in light of the current situation with us but I thought it would do me good to look at someone other than Walter all weekend really.
Need to go now as Kane is looking for attention

Hello,
Well I am back from Holland now
I missed Em & OH sooooo much I felt like I was missing an arm or something   and I was so happy to see him last night when I got back. THe conference was ok (kind of reassuring I know what i'm doing in a way!) and we did have some good nights out, Amsterdam is mental  .altho' i was disappointed with the food, but perhaps didn't find the right places. I overdid the present buying for Emma so she got an orange t-shirt 8) , animals, tea set and a care bear. (OH got chocolate). I didn't wake emma last nihgt, but this morning she was so pleased to see me it was lovely  she was so excited when I went into her, laughing and dancing :ellie: . but she has been incredibly clingy. We have been to 2 parks today and she has been an absolute angel! The only thing is she wouldn't have a nap and got really upset. i think it was that she was scared I'd leave her again.
How is everyone here?
Andie - I will look for your thread. Hope things are ok with you :flowers:
Jane- How was the house? nothing is coming on the market here that we want, but we'll keep going i think.

hello all.
Thought i would tell you that I think we have a new word. MINE, she was saying it over and over again, when she took Andy's (yes Andys Taggie). Also this morning we was in the garden before i went to work, and she said "P, P, P", she then went running in, i had a look and Pengu was on, how she heard it I have no idea. Also when I came home, I think she may have said "Bobbie" who is the cousin of the little girl next door. So all in all she is coming along.
I feel a lot happier today.

Hiya, well it's crap news from me. Alan has said a definate no about the house we went to view. I really liked it, a bit on the small side but all in all a thousand times better than where we are. His reason is that the estate backs onto council houses that are rather run down. The ower kept on looking over her shoulder when we were upstairs at the houses. There was a derelict house with a metal bolted door and the house next to it had a load of wooden pallets in the back garden
I'm absolutely gutted. I'm sitting here in tears as we've jsut had a big row about it. He's told me I need to get psychiatric help because I said to him I was getting really depressed about living in this flat.
I'm so ****ing pissed off of living in this shite hole. I apologise for the strength of my language but I really feel like I'm going to explode with rage and dispair. I just don't think that any house we go and view will ever be good enough in his eyes. It would just be so much easier if he weren't here. I honestly don't knokw how much longer I can keep this all up before I crack. I'm shattered with it all and I'm starting to feel like I'm losing my grip on everything. Ah feck I'm getting all melodramic with snot and tears running down my face, Better stop now and give my face a wash.
Sorry

Oh Jane :grouphug: so sorry that the house wasn't good enough  i don't have any advice for you sorry, i really don't know what to suggest. It must be tough looking for houses at this time in the property market, DH is currently looking for something to buy thats run down so he can do it up and make a quick profit but theres just nothing out there at the right price for him to make any cash on, if he can't do this then we won't be able to move because we have no deposit, he's relying on making money on a couple of run down purchases so we can afford a decent house in the end, its all very frustrating, but it must be on a much bigger scale for you because you have so little space in your flat. I feel for you Jane :higgies: I really hope that something suitable comes along shortly and that its somewhere that you can BOTH see yourselves living.
CB, glad you had a nice time :teehee: about buying presents for Emma whilst you were away  Lu has been really clingy this week too, think its because i left her last week twice to go to see Take That    she wouldn't go to MIL at all on Thursday when we went swimming, MIL seemed a bit put out, everytime MIL swam off Lu was shouting "bye nanny" in a really sarky voice and then when she came back Lu started having hissy fits :hissyfit:
Andie, yes i think they're all going through the same thing, i think at this age range they are understanding a whole lot more and like to test their boundaries.
LJJ, bless Mia saying MINE! Thats one of Lu's favourtite words, when we had a BBQ a few weeks ago and all our friends came round and their kids were in the garden all we heard all day from Lucy was "thats my bike", "thats my car", "thats my house" etc etc :teehee:
Well the football presentation went well last night. Lu fell asleep at about 6:30pm as we were getting ready, luckily she'd had her bath and dinner and was dressed to go out so Dh just put her in the cot whilst we finished getting ready  :adultcontent: (hey every time counts in this house!) and she woke up on the way there (40 min car journey), she stayed up til 11:40pm which is the 1st time she's EVER stayed up that late  :faint: she kept going tired and wanting to sit on my lap but then kept getting another burst of energy and wanted to get back down and dance again. She danced ALL night in front of the stage and everyone loved her :lurve:
We didn't get in til about 1:30am and Lu woke up at 5am, i gave her some milk in her cot  and she went back to sleep til 9ish when i got up    Just off to go get dressed now as we're having a BBQ for the football match today
Hope everyone is having a nice weekend.

Jane - youhave my sympathies, house hunting is  . I know your frustration, we found a dream house but the area wasn't right and ateotd you can change anything about a house (it is just bricks!) but you can't change the area. Now I know I'm going to sound like a humungous snob, but if the house backs onto a rough estate then the schools are going to be fed from that estate too. Don't get disheartened it's only the 1st one you've seen. We've viewed about 10 now, and there's nothing coming on the market in our criteria,it is so frustrating  OH won't look outside a 10min walking radious of his mums house  .
Glad you had a good night Mrs D.
Jo - Mia sounds like she's really coming on. :ellie: and I'm glad to hear your sounding better.

Hello again
Well we've had a lovely day in the back garden, Lucy got absolutely plastered in grass and mud and loved it. Our friends came round to watch the football (oh dear oh dear  ) and we had a BBQ. Lu loved playing with the kids and hasn't slept all day, hopefully she'll sleep well tonight but she didn't go down til 9pm  (2 late nights in a row!)
I'm just finishing clearing up downstairs then i'm off for a quick bath and bed. We plan to go food shopping 1st thing and then spend the day in the garden again, i lurve the hot weather :ellie:
Hope everyone else is having a nice weekend.
Jane I am going to be really bad and agree with Miriam as well and I lived in a council estate. It is most likely not the right house but your are desperate to move so you might be over looking what would otherwise be a problem for you as well.
When we were looking for a house 4 years ago I was so desperate to get out of the house after the break in that I nearly pushed DH into buying any house just as long as we could move. We were viewing a house for the 2nd time intent on buying it but then DH had a busy time at work and nothing could happen for 2 weeks. in the meantime the house where we now live came on the market and as soon as we saw it we knew it was THE house for us.
I have everything crossed for you so that yo can find your dream house this summer and that you will be moving into it soon and that Lorna will be getting a big girl bed AND a new bedroom for her 2nd birthday

Hiya girls, I do really appreciate your comments and I haven't taken the huff or anything.
I know that I'd probably end up even more depressed if the neighbours turned out to be from hell but how can you really be sure that moving to a better area automatically means your neighbours are going to respect your need for peace and quiet???
Everyone in the block I'm in just now is very, very nice but the flat above me has been rented out to a girl at University. To look at she appears to come from a well off family but she cranks her music up at 9pm when I've just got Lorna settled in bed. She opens all of her windows too so that it's belting out in the street. If I see her outside I'm likely to rip her feckin ears off, the cow!
Miriam, we still want to buy a house in that estate but Alan has said that he would have put an offer in for the one we saw on Friday if it had just been at the opposite side of the street and therefore not backing onto the council estate. He's very specific about what he wants and now another definate is he wants a garage although he told me just the other month that you can get one built for about 4 grand! This estate is a 5 minute walk for me to the train station and this station doesn't have any stairs unlike the one I need to use just now. It's got 35 steep stairs which are getting harder and harder to climb as Lorna gets heavier. There's no way I'll be able to do it when I'm pregnant so we need to go somewhere that's close to a station without stairs. This estate is the only one on that train line.
The school admittedly aren't great but I'm not really looking that far into the future. There's still another three years before Lorna will go to school and I've actually been in touch with the school I used to attend which is a 5 minute walk from my mum's house. Apparently I can apply for her to go there instead so I've got that in the back of my mind. Alan also said (jokingly I think) that we'd be paying the same amount of money to put her in a private school as we're paying to put her into nursery 3 days pers week!
Anyway, I'm away to do some ironing and hopefully grab a quick cuppa and a biscuit before her majesty wakes up.
Like her new piccy??

hello how are you all.
Well even though we own our house, ours is on a council estate, infact the largest in Norther Europe. We want to move.
Anyway, yesterdeay we went to a barbecue, and Mia was stealing all the food of the table. Today we hav egone out for a meal, Mia had a fruit platter for desert with a chocolate dip, well you should of seen her face.
We are bidding on a Playhouse on Ebay, I am the top bidder and have 6 hours to go.

Really do hope you find something suitable soon Jane
LJJ would have loved to have seen Mia's face when her chocolate dip arrived. You should have seen Lu yesterday in the garden tucking into my chocolate fudge cake, OMG the MESS
Have had another lovely day in the garden. Got up earlyish and were at the supermarket for 9:30am, went to McDonalds 1st for breakfast  and Lu had pancakes. Came back and we've been in the garden all day, came in about 1/2 hour ago because it started raining a bit, still roasting hot though!!
Taking Lu to a skin clinic tomorrow, she has really sore red patches all over her bum, tops of her legs and her belly. At 1st i thought it was just nappy rash but its not actually around her bits iyswim. The skin clinic is like a drop in centre where you get to speak to a nurse adn they give you samples of different creams to try, hopefully i'll find out what it is. Looks like psyriosis (sp) to me and DH has this too but the GP keeps insisting it isn;t

katy, when i say you should of seen her face, it was more to do with afterwards she had chocolate everywhere, on her eyes in her hair. Another coupler were looking at her smiling. She kept dipping her fingers in and licking them. You can tell she doesnt have chocolate that much, then she had some of my strawberry sundae.
She then later played out with the little girl next door which is really cute
Good luck for the skin clinic

why oh why did I ever think I wanted another baby
Last night Lorna was such a complete wee brat that I really didn't like her very much. I'm dying with hayfever and the heat and she just wound me up non stop last night. She poured her soup over herself, the highchair the carpet her hair. The pulled every single toy out of the box and started throwing them all over the livingroom, hall, bedroom even in the dogs bed. Later on she bit my arse when I was leaning over the computer and then later she bit my leg. This is the first time she's ever bitten any of us.
She dozed off in my arms at 8pm only to be woken up just as I was putting her in her cot by a load of kids screaming and shouting outside our window. Then I couldn't get her back to sleep until 9.45pm. It was a total knightmare that would continue through to today. She woke up at 4am this morning and tossed and turned, coughed and sneezed until she decided it was time to get up properly and play. So I'm freaking knackered and if Alan isn't home tomorrow I'm sooooo going to kill his ass.
Sorry for whinging girls, I feel like it's all I'm doing just now. Well that and shouting at Lorna then bawling my eyes out.
I really hope you're all having a much better time of it just now with your LO's.
J.x
Sorry you are having sucha crappy time of it. Is she suffering from the heat as well?
Dylan wakes up every morning and within about 5 minutes is moaning and whinging until after breakfast mostly. I am hoping that its the heat and now a new personality trait otherwise i am trading him in for a new one.
Take deep breaths (if you can thru the hayfever nose) and just think that at least you are only dealing with one child and by that I mean that you don't need to look after Alan as well.
PM me if you fancy another moan as I have done enough whinging to you lately as well.
I am off now for my final appointment at the mw to be signed off so to speak and she is going to ask about contraception HA fat chance I have been gagging for it for the last 3-4 weeks but DH is not feeling well or not in the mood so personally I think that is enough contraception right now.
Better go Dylan has just woke up again

Hi all,
I had the most embarrassing moment yesterday when I was taken to one side at nursery as Xander bit TWO children yesterday:oops:
This is a first for him and in his defence I think his teeth are bothering him but really! He'll get a bad reputation:nod: I really hope this isn't the start of a bad habit forming. He's also played up a bit about going on a sleep mat but I think that's just toddler overtiredness kicking in.
Otherwise he's lovely:lurve:
Bump's coming along nicely. I've had to resort to maternity trousers today as they are just so much more comfortable and help with the indigestion pains.
I've got a wedding to go to on Saturday so I reckon the cat will be out of the bag then. Dreading such a long day TBH.
Hope you are all well and thankful that it has cooled down a little.
I love the new piccy of Lorna:ellie:

Hey Spritzer, has Bear curbed his biting yet or have the attached a muzzle at the nursery :teehee: Sorry I know I shouldn't laugh, Lorna bit my ass last week and it SO was not funny.
Ah well bit of crap news from me (I promise that one day I will have good news). My mum phoned earlier to ask if I could book Lorna into nursery full time next week as she has to go down to England to help look after my brother's 3 kids. My SIL is due to have their 4th baby at the end of August but she's been taken into hospital with pre-eclampsia and looks like they're going to section her as she's already been given the steroid injections for the baby's lungs. I'm sure they'll be ok but it's a bit worrying because she almost died when she had their little girl a few years ago :-(
What else, well Alan came home on Friday from Inverness but the job isn't finished yet and he set off yesterday at 6am and won't be home till Friday night. He's been warned NOT to agree to work next week because I really, really need a break with Lorna. I'm completely knackered just now and I've stupidly hurt my back doing the lawn yesterday.
He's also told me the job that starts on the 22nd of July in Aberdeen is going to take a full two weeks for the first phase which means he wont get home AT ALL. That job is due to start the week after next so that's why I'm putting my foot down about him working next week.
Yes I know I will manage and plenty of single mothers manage to hold down a full time job and look after their children/home/dog but I don't want to do it all on my freakin own. I didn't sign up for this!! Of course it's all money and it will go towards a deposit for a house but I really can't cope with everything. Call me weak, call me feable, call me what you will but being on my own with everything is scaring the bejeysus out of me and now I'm not even going to have my mum to help me either. She says she's just going down from this Friday until next weekend (which is when Alan's next job starts) but I think she'll be away for at least two weeks.
Someone please have some good feckin news for a change. It just seems like it's only me posting doom and gloom on here

Well we have some good news, we're going on holiday twice. Going to Spain not next Saturday but the Saturday after and then to Greece 3 wks after we return from Spain :ellie: :ellie: I can't wait as i really need a break atm, not that a holiday with a toddler is much of a break  i think more than anything i need a change of scenery!
Lucy is being her usual self this week so far, driving me round the bend being clingy!! She'll be worse after tomorrow though cause she's going to MIL's all day whilst i get my hair done in the morning and then pop over to Mums to take my little Sisters Bday present. Can't take Lu as she has chicken pox and i don't want to risk any contact before our holidays!!
Dh is working really hard atm, hardly seem him at all and even if he comes home early like he did yesterday he spends all afternoon/evening doing paperwork or on the phone :-( the only time we really spend together is in bed and we're usually shattered by then!!
No news on the TTC front, although i did get a very faint BFP the other day but i really really think that the tests are faulty so i'm not holding my breath and i'm certainly not testing again until after AF is due this weekend. I thikn its FAR to early for me to have gotten a +tive result!!
ANyway, hope everyone else is ok!!
Well my life is not that great right now so not that much good news from me i am afraid.
Though baby Kane is drinking more he is now up to 90ml 6 times a day and I am still expressing every feed SEVEN WEEKS ON\!!!!!!!!
He has also started to smile a little which is really cute.and he is such a relaxed easy going wee one.
Dylan has lovely temper tantrums and has had no nap today and THREE times in the hallway for being bad. Oh what fun and all 3 of us have the cold. W had it last week so he is all better now.
Better go *Dylan is attacking the computer

Lucy is being quite demanding atm, having tonns of tantrums which i just so don't know how to deal with. Have tried shouting at her, smacking her hand  (which she actually thinks is halarious) putting her in her cot for timeout which she LOVES because it means she can chat to herself  and when i ignore her she just carries on doing whatever it is she started doing and turns it into something twice as bad so clearly none of my methods are working
She's being incredibly clingy atm too and thats driving me nuts, she's always under my feet and its a nightmare.

Hope you're ok, I don't know what to say.
Oh Miriam if you want to moan you can no one has the right to have a better problem than someone elses.
Well we were talking again last night and DH  I mean W is moving out this weekend to have more time to think about what he wants and his space. Basically the upshot is that he cannot love me when i am in this phase of my life, ie being focused on the kids and home life. Funny becasue I thought we had both agreed on this one but I guess somewhere along the lines he changed his mind.
His sister is going away for 3 weeks so he is going to ask her if he can stay at her place.
Dylan has:lol: been really clingy to his dummy and teddy at the minute and is having troubles going to sleep without a tantrum.
Kane is lovely as usually such a little angel boy really

W has now left the building so to speak, he has said that he will be back on Friday but who knows what will happen in the end.

Hi Andie, I've replied on your other thread honey but as I always keep telling you, just text me or PM if you need to chat ok.
Well we had a good weekend I suppose. We went to Dumbarton on Saturday, the weather was absolutely scortching. We were planning on going to the Hiland Games in Balloch but we couldn't get parked and then the car wheel bearing started threatning to snap so we had to stop and park up. We went to Dumbarton Castle and spent a couple of hours there to let the car cool down a bit so we could make it home
Yester day we decided just to stay at home as it was hotter than Saturday and way to hot to be driving anywhere. We got Lorna's paddling pool out and filled it up with water. She's only ever been in it as a ball pool so she was screaming with laughter and splashing around like mad. She came out for her lunch and wee'd in her high chair so we showered her down and stuck her back outside again. She wouldn't come out of there at all and it really did warm the cockles of my heart to see her having so much fun with mumm, daddy and Holly. Had to forcibly remove her though as she was shivering like mad and her lips had turned blue :faint:
She really knackered herself out as we put her down for a nap and she slept for almost 4 hours!!! Here's a few pics we took of her having fun and then having a cuddle from daddy http://i2.tinypic.com/207tbbd.jpg http://i2.tinypic.com/207tc07.jpg and http://i1.tinypic.com/207tdht.jpg
Hopefully she'll have as much fun this weekend as we've got the megameet on Saturday and then the Nick Jnr Jump Up on Sunday.
Oh and can I just wish Lorna a HAPPY 20 MONTH BIRTHDAY :cheer2:

p.s. Andie the househunting is NOT going well at all. We drove around a house I had my eye on. Fixed price at £110k for 3 bedrooms, livingroom, dining room, bathroom and huge back garden but the area just wasn't right at all :-(

Hi All,
sorry, been working hard and not online at all so trying to catch up with all the news.
Andie, I am so sorry to hear your news but I do hope there is some resolution around the corner for you. TBH W needs to grow up a bit and recognise that he has adult responsibilities and cannot expect you to give him as much at this precise moment as you have been able to before. Rather than distance himself emotionally he would be better off trying to plug into family life properly and recognise it's rewards as well as it's challenges. That is what being a husband and father is about, not sulking and flouncing if he's not getting enough attention. Perhaps some space will make him realise this. If not, ultimately you and the boys may be better off without this sort of role model. Sorry to be tough about it but men sometimes need a serious reality check on their behaviour.
Katy - just the best news:ellie: Hope it goes really well for you.
Jane - I know moving house is soo stressful but you will find the right place and it is too big a decision to compromise on or make rash decisions. Sorry to hear about your mum and Alan both being away - you will cope! Just set your sights on that 7pm target when Lorna's in bed and you can crack open the vino and snuggle down with soaps and damsels and the time will fly by.
I am already feeling enormous and have my booking in appt on Thursday and my scan next tuesday so I am really looking forward to both those things. Xander doesn't have a clue yet but does get very excited when he sees babies so I am hoping this is a good sign:grin:
He was biting again at nursery last week:oops: but I can't expect to go through toddlerhood without this sort of thing so I guess we'll ride this one out and hope it's a short phase.
He was so hot this weekend he ate virtually nothing and I think his teeth are coming through at the back.

I'm expecting it will be this weekend though so I will be on my own as Alan goes to that job in Aberdeen on Saturday too

See this is the thing spritzer that is weird as that he is NOT feeling neglected he is actually feeling suffocated and wants me to have outside interests as he thinks I focus TOO much on the kids.
Which in its self could be seen in a positive light that he wants me to go and do my own thing but right now its not what I need or have any desire to do.
I need us to spend time togther as a couple adn he doesn't. He wants his own space or time with the kids.
Its all very confusing and he sounds a bit like he is back tracking now as he is now positive given time he will love me again but how much time am I prepared to give him then?
Can you really fall out of love and back in love with the same person?
He doesn't seem to like me in mummy role and that is mroe thr problem. I have no major future plans at the moment as I am enjoying the now and normally I have everything planned 2 years in advance and now that scare me as it means Dylan will be heading off to school.
Oh I have decided that when Dylan is 2-2 1/2 that he will be going to nursery half a day or 2 half days a week. This is a really big thing for me and I am going to make myself do it as its good for me, Dylan and Kane.

Hi Girls
How are you all getting on? We're fine, still househunting and Alan is still working away on and off. He's off to Aberdeen this Saturday for 2 weeks and won't be home at the weekends this time which is a bit pants. My mum went down to Hartlepool on Thursday and wont be back for two weeks. Are any of you coming to the Damsels party in November??

hi there
Mia is doing fine but winging for England and having a few tantrums. Apparently she likes to stamp her feet. Today she lunged at me, and fell on her hands (she was kneeling at the time) I just left her. It was because I didnt want her to sit on a box I was wrapping.
Just made her salmon and broccolli pasta, as we are going to a tea party later.
Bumped into an ex friend who I havent see in over a year. When i last saw she was trying for a baby, was having IVF, and had an etopic PG. I had invited her to the wedding but she sent a reply saying she couldnt come back. I then said that was it, if i bumped into her I would say helloo and walk on (of course i knew I wouldnt) . ANyway she has a 3 month old son, who was born at 30 weeks, and weighs about 8lbs now. He is soooo tiny. I have bought an outfit and will drop it round there. Dont know where it will pan out, it was a shame as we had been good friends. I took her to America when I had free Business Class tickets. When I fell PG she said some hurtfull things to me, about Andy, saying he wasnt committed to me because he wouldnt marry me, and he didnt earn enough money. I said it didnt matter as long as the baby had parents who loved each other and who needs material things, nice, but not really the end of the world. Maybe she was jealous who knows. I remember at her hen night she said if she had children, she would still go off on her 3/4 week holidays to ther other side of the world and leave the baby withher parents, (I dont understand that)
Good luck to your SIL how exciting.
We are still TTCing, guess i amn on the 2ww my cycles are different each month, so who knows when I am OV'ing.
Hope you are all okay

Hi Jo, that a shame about your old friend. I hope things work out and you become closer again.
Hi Miriam - can we see a pic of Emma soon, seems like months since we saw her last.
Lorna and I have had a nice day. Alan went out on his bike as he usually does on a Sunday so Lorna and I went to Graffiti Park. I've named it that because every single piece of ground, metal, rubber etc has been completely covered in graffiti. It's only about a 10 minute walk from my house though so it's handy for us and apart from the graffiti it's actually very clean........ no needles, beer cans etc and it's always empty so we never have to Q to get on things.
I've uploaded my pics of Lorna taken this month in Damsels mums. She's grown so tall recently and I do miss my ickle baby at times. Thankfully the tantrums seem to have died down again but will no doubt reappear as soon as Alan leaves for Aberdeen and I'll be back to hitting the bottle and comfort eating :bwahaha:
Sorry to hear about Emma's pox too. Lorna is covered in worrying lumps but after researching on t'internet I believe it's just a heat rash. It's on her back where the top of her nappy rubs and also on her arms, back of her legs and under her chin. Poor wee lamb is scratching like mad and the germolene doesnt seem to be helping so I'll pick up some calomine lotion later.
J.x
Jane C has heat rash too and it's best left alone we've found.
Apparently it's blocked pores, because the little ones don't have fully developed sweat glands yet, so the sweat gets stuck. I find just washing with water is best, creams etc just aggravate it.
C's does look bad though.
Otherwise we all doing OK here! Nothing to report....

I'll try and take a pic of Lorna's rash when she wakes up and see if you ladies think it's defintely just a heat rash.

Well I've just dropped Lorna off at nursery and pointed out to them that yes I know it's a bit on the cold side but I've put Lorna in a summer dress. It's nice and loose so it shouldn't irratate her spots. I lifted up her dress to show them her heat spots and one of the girls asked if I was positive they were just heatspots because they've got a case of chickenpox at the nursery
I'm deffers sure they are just heat spots as there's no blistering or anything and she's been getting these spots on and off for the last 3 or 4 weeks since it started to get hot. They don't blister and scab they just get really red then fade away again, this is the only time they seem to have been itchy though and she's actually managed to scratch her back where there's a big clump of them. I took a pic last night but it was really blurred.

Hi ladies. Haven't posted on here for a while.
LJJ, nice that you met up with your old friend, i have a similar situation with my ex best friend and i like to think that if i ever bumped into her i'd ignore her because she was so spiteful to me and used me but then i think she is my friend and we'd probably give each other a big hug and spend all day chatting. I miss her. She is married now with 2 little boys, and i'd love for our children to grow up together, her 1st is now 3 and her 2nd is just younger than Lu.
Jane, bummer that Alan won't be coming home at the weekends, must be tough for you to spend so much time apart, espcially as you're trying to look for a house at the same time. I really hope you find something suitable soon. I can't begin to imagine what it must be like living in a small flat with a toddler, we're in a 2 bed semi, not big but not tiny and we lack space and it grinds on me. Lucy has had soem heat spots on her belly that come and go. She has excema quite bad on her bump and legs which turned into a fungal infection because of the heat so i use canestan HC now, prescribed by the GP and its really cleared it up, was looking quite nasty.
Miriam, sorry to hear Emma has the pox, seems to have bypassed Lu for the 3rd time. My sisters LO still has it atm although i think she's all scabbed over now. Hope Emma gets better soon.
Spritzer, how are you?? How is the heat affecting you whilst you're pregnant, i know how hot and uncomfortable i felt in Italy when i was 14 wks, was a real nightmare, i was reaosting throughout November at full term as well. My Step Mum is 34 wks and really struggling, she had a fall and a bleed this weekend but everything is ok! She had a bleed late on with my little brother too so she wasn't that worried.
Andie, haven't read all of your posts yet but i assume you and Walter are over :higgies: I'm so sorry and i really feel for you. I hope that you get everything sorted v soon. Sorry but i have no advice just wanted to let you know i'm thinking of you.
Well no news hear, as you probably read before i went away i had a BFP but again it wasn't to be. We're still ttc but are trying not to think too much about it. Our holiday was good and i will write up a report about it and post some pics later today when i've got more time.
Lu has turned into the child from hell i'm really not coping with her atm, and i've seriously thought over the oast week if i could actually cope with 2 of her, she's very strong willed and he tantrums are really bad. She smashed a plate in the restuarant on holiday it was so embarassing and she kept pinching and pushing over the other children and wouldn't share her toys and wanted all of their's. I don't understand it she spends lots of time with other kids and is usually rally good. I'm embrassed to say that i really don't like her atm, does that make me a bad Mummy :sigh:

Hi girls,
Katy, it ,makes you a normal mummy, not a bad one:hug: I think we all have those times when we love our children but don't necessarily like them very much - who could like someone who is biting, pinching, whining and so on?
I have found the heat really hard work and am so thankful for the rain today and that it is a bit cooler. I was :brainache: :hissyfit:  at the news that August may be even hotter. Thank goodness I'll be big over christmas instead of summer like last time. Mr S was a star and bought me a whole load of maternity gear in H&M sale so I will at least have something cool to wear. I seem to be getting big quickly this time, I hope it slows down soon.
Jo, I hope you work things out with your friend. Remember that people do say and do funny things when TTCing and it is not really personal, they are just lashing out as they are in pain themselves - and a premmy baby is no fun at all. Hope you get to be friends again!
Jane, graffiti park sounds luffly:lol: hope you have some luck finding a house soon - you really do need the space. I can't imagine what living in a 1 bedroom flat with a toddler must be like:doh: :flowers:
Miriam - sorry to hear Emma's got the pox! Hope it clears up soon. Xander had it last year in the heat and it does make them more miserable.
When I was in Spain someone told me the best cure/prevention for heat rash is amber. A little amber necklace worn against the skin sorts it out fantastically well. The person who told me this had a son who was a baby when they lived in the carribean and he was riddled with it. They were a bit sceptical until they tried it and have never looked back. They live in Spain and his son always wears his amber and hasn't suffered since. He also said the best prevention for mozzie bites for children is marmite on toast every day!
Andie - I really hope you resolve things with W. I know it is hard when you have your boys to think of as well.
It's the first day back at work for me having been off for a week - not at all relaxing in the heat with no bathrooms as they are being done up:doh: I had to take Xander away for the day on thursday as I was so  that they could all hear me snapping at him all the time.
If you need 15 minute peace from your child I recommend a tube of UHU for kids, some paper and things to stick like foam letters or feathers. The mess is interesting (it washes away easily) and their fingers look like they've got leprosy:lol: but Xander loved doing this and it meant I could make cheese muffins in peace:grin:

Oh Katy don't worry, I have plenty of days where I don't really like Lorna. Last night for example I could have cried I don't know how many times she was told off for going into our drawers and pulling things out. She keeps throwing her dinner on the floor, pinching and slapping, screaming, climbing on things and jumping off, removing all of her clothes and her nappy, running out of the back door with no shoes on, tantrums oh gawd the list is never ending. I'm dreading Alan going away this Saturday as obviously my mum is in England too so I'm probably going to have a complete meltdown. I was going to take Monday and Tuesday off work next week to save me the extra £80 for her being in nursery 2 days but the more I thought about it I changed my mind  I'd also only have 4 days holiday left for the rest of the year so that was the deciding factor.

Well my mum text to say my SIL had her baby boy at 2.15am. He weighed just 4lb 10oz and they are waiting for the specialist to come and say if there's anything serious wrong with him. Apparently my brother and SIL had been advised last week that he could have some brain damage
I'll let you know how he is when my mum phones again later. So far there's no name for him.

i'm joining the bad mummy club. i am so fed up of being housebound with emma. I feel so sorry for her, she just had another screaming fit, poor thing - she has about 4 around her mouth so her dummy is irritating it and she wants her dummy for comfort. i've given her osme milk tho' she barely ate today.

Morning girls
I'm sorry if this is going to turn into a whinge but I just need to vent before I burst into tears in the office.
Things are getting on top of me just now. Andie I know my life/problems probably seem trivial compared to what you're going through just now so I apologise if this comes out as childish.
Alan is leaving tomorrow to go to Aberdeen for two weeks. This trip has been put back and put back for ages. In between though he's been working on and off in Inverness for days here and there but always away over night. The thought of him being away for two full weeks is really scaring the shit out of me. I'm feeling very low and vulnerable just now and I don't think I'm going to be able to cope.
Obviously my mum isn't here either, she won't be back until next Thursday but I won't see her until the Saturday. That was a day that I'd had planned for ages and was going to spoil her rotten for her birthday. We're booked to see the matinee of Beauty and the Beast and then I was going to surprise her with a hotel for the night for just the two of us. Take her out for dinner and back to the fancy hotel for wine and chocolates while we watch telly in our fluffy dressing gowns ro relax in a bubble bath.
Alan then told me just as I was about to book the hotel that his job was definately going to start on the 5th and he wont be back until the 19th. I'd planned on taking my mum out on the 12th. Now I'm having to leave Lorna with my dad while I go to the theatre with my mum. Lets hope Lorna doesn't have a dirty nappy as my dad has never changed a single nappy in his whole life and refuses to do so. Then we'll have to rush back to pick Lorna up. I've asked my mum if she'd like to come back to my house and I'll order a take-away but she didn't sound too keen on the idea :-(
Our house situation is no further forward either and as I said on Miriam's thread we definately won't be out of here before Lorna's 2nd birthday. I've been ringing the estate agent since 3pm yesterday to get a couple of viewings for tonight but the line is just ringing out. TBH the houses are too far away from my work, nice and handy for Alan but a bit far for me to travel with Lorna. He's leaving tomorrow night though for Aberdeen so even if we did see a house we wanted he's not here to sign paperwork etc and won't get time away from his job to travel back to Glasgow.
I also said to him this morning that I was fed up of the whole thing and that my life is being put on hold because of his job. I brought up the subject of ttc and reminded him that he'd said he wanted a summer baby and that I didn't want to be pregnant until after we'd moved house and this job of his was changing everything. To that he turned and said "who decided that, cos I certainly didn't?"
And finally......... Alan told me to book a week off work from the 21st - 25th of August so we could go away up north on holiday travelling around the country. These are the only dates we can go away because this is when his boss is going on his fecking holidays which have no doubt been booked for months. So I've been left trying to find hotels and b&bs in different locations around Scotland in the hight of the feckin tourist season. Every single place I've tried is either booked out or they want about £140 per night. We seriously cannot afford it and I just know that I'm going to be off work for a full feckin week and we aren't going to fecking go any feckin place.
I'm so upset just now, everything is shite. Work has been a complete knightmare this past couple of weeks while we've been shortstaffed and I can't even look forward to the weekend because I'm going to be on my own with Lorna and won't get any sort of a break as she's in her hyper tantrum mode just now.
Sometimes I wish I could just turn the clock back about 5 years and start all over again :-(
Sorry, whinge over.

jane, i know how you feel. Well kind of. You kind of feel stuck in rut about the house, like it will never happen. Yesterday we sat down and did a list of things that need to be done, his answer get someone in to do them. As in the garden and a little bit of painting. We saw a nice house yesterday but by the time we sort it out it will be gone, but nice to see what we may move to

it would be ideal because it has a workshop, which could be turned into his highness studio.
As for Alan going away, the longest Andy has been away is for about 4 days and can not remember if that was before or after Mia was born. It will be hard but you will get through it.

All that's going to happen now is we will spend about 2 hours trying to find a room and we'll have to share our bed with Lorna if we do find something or else we will just drive home again. I know that he'll just slob about and then decide to feck off on his bike :bwahaha:

Jane just sent me a txt message so I just thougth I would let you know that I am still around but not posting all that much.
Well the good news is that I have managed to stop crying for a whole 24 hours now. had a couple of wobbly moments yesterday talking to my mum but to be honest I am just too tired to cry.
Saw W yesterday to arrange for Kane's passport and have not heard anything from him in over 24 hours so you can see he is really worried about how the kids and I are doing!!!!
Both my parents are coming over to pick up me and the boys for our trip back to Belfast so i just need to sort out what I need to take and what I CAN take on the plane. i am not sure whether to take the pram or not or just the frame and the carseat and Dylan's buggy.
I really don't want to be away that long but September is our wedding anniversary and October its my birthday and I don't want to be on my own for those days.
In laws have not contacted me in a week or more so they don't even care about the kids either.
I am still hurting like mad but I guess in the long run its for the best. Just please keep your fingers crossed that the judge will give me custody and I can take the kids away from here. Scary to think someone else is going to be deciding on my life.
Sorry everyone is having their own troubles as well good luck with the house hunting and arranging holidays etc.
Jane you can so do this on your own you know. It won't be easy but you are more than capable of it and think of the sense of achievement you will have at the end of it. Good luck

Oh just because everything will be make shift and not my own house etc and I am a grumpy old sod when i don't have things done my way. Plus my mum doesn't have a dryer only a washing machine and I am going to have to go in and clean and rearrange her house for her as she is SOOOOOO disorganised.

One of the ladies I seemed to click with and we have a lot in common, and we both did a hotel course, same sort of age, exactly the same house, and both looking in the same area for a new house, and I showed that house and she said, OH yes i think i looked at that one. I'll have to speak to the estate agent in the morning to note our interest and then ask them about mortgages as their mortgage calculator thing worked out to about £200 per month less than my current bank would charge!
Anyway, I can't stop. Got some work to do in checking this lot out! Also need to post in legal or somewhere about moving mortgages.

Fun and games isn't the word for it!
So far I've been on the phone to the estate agent about 6 times already and put in a note of our interest, spoken to their independant financial advisor, arranged a survey and made an appointment with my bank.
I can't believe it's 1pm already I've been non stop working on this and my own work work of course.
Looks really good for the house though so fingers crossed huh! I'm thrilled at the thought of Lorna being in her own room and that room for her is just gorgeous. Would have to change the carpet at some point though as it's an old fashioned pattern and dark blue although it's practically brand new but I want my wee girls room to be perfect. She waited long enough for it!

Hello,
I'm joining you guys, some of you may remember me from HB, I was bluestar in those days.
I was littleJoJo's due date twin last time.
Hi littlejojo and Jane - See I have made it here eventually.
I started to read this thread from the beginning, got to page 8 and my head was going to explode! too much info for me to take in at once.
So i'll start fresh.
My little one is 22 months old now, and bless, she is lovely (I'm biased), she talks loads, very happy all the time, doesnt throw many tantrums and is generally well behaved.
Though if I could change one thing, it would be her sleep habits (or lack of).
She still doesnt sleep more then one hour at night in one go, so I have been completed exhausted for the past 22 months, I have worked full time since she was one years old, and really feel the lack of sleep.
Makes me very grumpy and sensitive.
Anyway, look forward to catching up with you all.

How is everyone feeling this week?
I'm busy trying to organise new doctors, destists, vets etc. Also keeping a note of all the mail I get in so I know who to advise that our address is changing. There's so much involved with moving house!!
Lorna has started screaming again, not tantrum screaming but just girly girl screaming and by God it's loud :scared:
She went to my mums for the first time in a few weeks and I took advantage of sitting in my bed watching the telly, it was fab! Alan is away back up to Inverness today but it's only an overnight trip so he'll be back tomorrow. Good thing I guess as it means I have the house completely to myself when I get home!
I will probably spend the time going through my cd's/videos to see what I can put on classifieds and also Lorna's clothes really need sorting through. I got two bin bags full of stuff for the bin yesterday by just sorting through the kitchen cupboards and drawers  Alan and I are both off next week and were meant to be going on holiday but we never found anything. Think we are going to spend the time cleaning the carpet and painting the woodwork, doing the garden etc so it looks nice for putting on the market.
So what's happening with everyone?

Hi Jane
I'm so pleased for you that you're going to be moving finally, it must be so exciting organising everything ready to move.
Sorry Lorna has started screamng again, Lu never stopped :sigh: but luckily doesn't do it as often as she sed too. She's actually been quite good this weekend so we're maybe turning a corner, i just hope she behaves on holiday next week, i don't think i can cope with her for a fortnight in scorching temperatures being a little devil. Hopefully as our friends are coming their kids will keep her entertained better than we can.
I'm busy this week, packing, ironing and trying to sort out and declutter our bedroom. Just got back from argos bought a plastic trolley draw thing for all my makeup and toiletries to go in our room, DH will freak and say it looks cheap but i couldn't think of anything else for it to all go in that didn't cost a bomb, bought a new shoe rack for the hall too as ours is collapsing and some canvas underbed storage bags for extra storage space.
Have done some cutting and sticking with Lu this morning, she loves it and thought it would be funny to stck stuff on the cat whilst he was asleep :teehee:

hello everyone how are you all? We havent been on here for a very long time, I miss my old friends.
Things here are going well, managed to decorate the bathroom at the weekend, even though Andy decided it wasnt worth painting the bathroom door. He just doesnt understand about selling houses, and you should get it looking nice to sell. Maybe i should sit him down in front of the House Doctor. We have a fairly long list to do, so when we come back, I am going to get him started.
Jane how is everything going on in your flat is it ready to sell yet?
So ladies how we all doing now that the kids are 3???
I am exhausted as Dylan never ever ever stops talking from the moment he wakes up until he goes to bed at night.
Some days its lovely but other days I just think PLEASE SHUT UP I AM TIRED.
Plus he will not under any circumstances go to the toilet he is firmly attached to his nappies and I am not sure he will ever take them off so I must be about to win worst mummy award. I just don't know how to do it.
I have to say though I am really glad there is such a small age gap between the 2 as it makes it slightly more interesting in the house.
Although they do murder each other and i do have to say LEAVE YOUR BROTHER ALONE an awful lot to both of them.
So how are you and your little munchkins doing?

hiya Andie, I do love her being this age, but it is sooooo hard. We too have the constant talking, and I hate "mia NEED it", as in food, or whatever.
She is still in nappies, must try it as soon as the kitchen is done, and the house gets back to normal.
Holly is great, and fast asleep right now, has been since about 2, dont know what to do about milk, might miss it out today, she has 8oz's at each feed, so guess missing one out during the day wont be a hardship for 1 day. She is such a happy and chilled out baby. I do think though that she might turn into the bully or the troublesome one. Mia is spirted but I think Holly will have the temper. Just when you take something away she gives you a dirty look and seems so angry .
Kind of looking forward to christmas will of course be so strange. We have Andy's nan and my brother coming, so will be interesting. Going to go and pick my brother up in the morning and then go to the cemetary quickly to put some flowers and a card down. Will have to go early, mind you Andy's nan will no doubt take charge of the kitchen when I am not here .
So what are you all doing for Christmas who are you with etc?
Oh I can confirm that Kane is definitely the cheekier bad tempered one in this house and gives as good as he gets in the slaps and hair pulling stakes.
It will be me, the kids and my mum on christmas day and then on boxing day the 4 of us again and then my dad as well.
We will probably see my grandparents on christmas eve just to give presents and stuff.

Emma is driving me mad, she has started using the f-word as a verb. The ignoring thing hasn't worked at all. She is constantly on the go, so it's reassuring to hear Dylan is too, as I sometimes wonder if she is "normal". This is amongst other naughtiness & downright disobedience!
Christmas will be here with the 4 of us, with DH's parents coming for brekkie. Then my parents & DH's coming for boxing day.
LJJ - hows the kitchen? will it be done in time?

hhmmm dont ask about the kitchen. Well you can,, it will be done, but we will really be hard pushed to get everything else done. It will be nice to get our decorations up. It is looking good though. He is so cheeky the guy, he said, "Oh we wont have enough tiles to do the toilet" and therefore that meant not fit that etc. Andy worked it out there would be enough. So basically he has run out of time.
Boxing day I will be going to my cousin's Andy's nan will have to come with us, so that should be very interesting

Hello ladies :wave::smile:
Well Lucy has officially driven me around the bedn :loco: she doesn't stop and honestly some days i think that she MUST have something medically wrong with her as i've never known a child like her  She walks into things all day long, never looks where she's going, falls over her own feet constantly, cannot even take herself to the toilet without help without pissing up the fecking wall :hissyfit: which is a right PITA as we have no downstairs loo so i'm up the stairs every 1/2 hour with her, half the time you get there and she does her "har har" (Simpsons stylee) and say's "i'm only pretending" meaning she doesn't actually NEED the loo she just thinks its funny to get me up the stairs
She's cheeky, naughty, bad tempered and doesn't listen to a word i say.
On the whole i'm hating this age, she's driving me mental :sigh: Lord knows how i'm going to have the time to look after a newborn come April was hoping having a slightly bigger age gap would make things easier on me but i'm dreading it.
Worst of all she's a very bad walker, and STILL needs a sleep in the afternoon so its going to be a right PITA getting out and about with the 2 of them as there is NOT a chance i'm having a double buggy.

PF - my friends 3 year old sounds the same as Lucy. I really feel for her, and she has a really young one too. All I can say is she does cope you just find a way.
Mia still needs a nap every now and then, at least once or twice a week. I do have a double buggy but to be honest we tend to take a single and a buggy board, she really likes the board now. Only once since October have we taken the double buggy out and that was when she was a bit under the weather and had a sleep in it. She will walk for as long as possible then she says she is tired from walking and go on the board.
Right of out soon, to pick up a xmas picture of the girls, and then to pick up my dry cleaned cushion covers, maybe get my mums xmas decorations, my brother says he doesnt want them. Then to Asda to see if their cold stuff is in date, if not stop of to Tesco's on the way back. Then more clean clean clean.
have a good day

We don't really walk far enough with just me, Emma & Holly so fortunately we haven't had a big problem with buggys/buggy boards. I did pick E up from playschool once with Holly in the sling and pushed E in the buggy which was ok.
LJJ - hope the kitchen is manageable for xmas for you!
PF - "cheeky, naughty, bad-tempered, doesn't listen to a word I say" - you could be describing Emma!

Add dirty looks combined with a brother who copies everything and the ability to climb on the kitchen counters to get his own sweets and you have Dylan.
I think it would be a real struggle with Dylan and a small baby so glad Kane is the age he is altho it can be such hard work sometimes I think my head might explode.
Tell you one thing tho Kane gets away with and to do much more than Dylan ever did at 18 months. Its amazing the difference in the first and second child.
It can be tough a lot of them time when I are in tantrum central with both of them and there is no one else to pick up the slack. But no point dwelling on it.
Sadly I have no pearls of wisdom on parenting two children. Big breaths and jump in really. You will find a way to work it out and be thankfully at least Lucy is going to the toilet Dylan refuses to even sit on the toilet altho he is happy to change his own nappy

Yes Happy Christmas to everyone. CB i hope that Emma is feeling better for tomorrow, Lucy is still on the sofa, she's so out of sorts, kind of makes me wish she was doing my head in when i see her like this, although its been a nice restful day

 How was Lucy in the end PF? Emma was ok, well not 100% but she managed to get excited (just a little bit :teehee: )
I'm really loosing the plot with her eating atm. I made her pasta pink (creme fresh & red pesto) and she turned round & said she wanted it BLUE! :hissyfit: FFS. It took about an hour to persuade her to eat one spoonful, then she agreed it was nice and ate it. I've banned her from yoghurts until she can eat properly. I did agree with DH we wouldn't stress for Xmas & Boxing day so we didn't and seriously we have gone so far back with her eating. Little Holly looks so interested in food though, so fingers crossed she'll be easy - I don't remember Emma being interested in food at all.
Well, I hope you all had lovely xmas's.

She wasn't very well CB, she still isn't very well tbh although she's been a little better today.
Lucy's eating is absolutely AWFUL atm  most of the time she just point blank refuses to eat anything decent :sigh: its such a pain and its really getting me down. I try not to react to her when she refuses but its SO difficult not to :sigh: she's such a fecking pita
Not looking forward to BIL & SIL's wedding on Sunday the meals are really expensive and i can just imagine their faces when she point blank refuses to eat it

she might surprise you and eat in a "social setting".
Princess Fiona

I doubt it, she's really embarassed us todau. We've been to Frankie and Benny's for dinner adn then the Cinema. She ate a little bit of her meal and then kept saying she wasn't very well, and crying her eyes out. We felt sorry and told our friends she hadn't been very well and let her leave her food. She was totally playing us though as when the other kids puddings came out she threw an almighty tantrum and we had to take her to the car to calm her down, she was saying "i'm better now, i want icecream" and was being really cheeky  we had to let her have something else in the cinema to keep her quiet as well  which obviously didn't help, our friends think she's naughty enough as it is without us "helping" her along
Oh I wish dylan would eat but he lives on toast, sandwiches and cereal.
Ocassionally a sausage and pasta with mayo.....absolutely disgusting.
He never eats vegetables at all but will eat fruit.
On the other hand Kane will eat anything thats not nailed down.
I have give up trying with Dylan and hope he will eat when he is ready. Social eating doesn't help either as he doesn't eat anything at nursery or when we have people here.. Ah well I am sure he will be eating me out of house and home soon enough.

PF - that incident could easily have been Emma! I feel your pain.
I hate being strict with her though, it makes me feel terrible. Today she has been a lot better since we were very firm yesterday but I can't help feeling like she is in a mood with me.
DKNI - I am hoping Holly will be like Kane!
