Update on my friend

I posted last week about my best friend who has been sick throughout her pregnancy and had been told that the baby was probably going to weigh no more than 5lbs.

She went yesterday for a growth scan and was told that he hadn't grown since last week (he was 4lbs 8oz then) and that there was very little amniotic fluid left. She was booked in for an induction this morning at 9am.

Well ........

She went into labour of her own accord in the early hours of this morning and baby Oscar was born just before 8 this morning weighing ...... 6lbs 14oz!!!! He is absolutely fine apparently and I am just so over the moon for them.

I am hoping to see them later on and have a little cuddle of Oscar.

that's fantastic news (and soo often happens that way, they can't be spot on with everything) I'm so sorry you've all had so much worry - was nervous clicking on this thread - but it's wonderful that he's here, healthy and happy. And, 2oz bigger than Xander was!
