What can I have for a sore throat?

I've had a cold for the last week that has more or less gone except for a really sore throat.

Is there anything I can take to sooth it as it's starting to drive me nuts now. :hissyfit:

You can have Menocets (Ithink that's what they're called), they're like Strepsils, but you can take them when PG. The best thing is to ask the chemist, I think you can also have the Vicks throat spary.

Best thing ever having had tonsillitus twice in my pregnancy now is dissolvable paracetemol garggle with it!

Oh and throaties pastilles also normal strepsils are OK but not the super strength ones!

honey and lemon in hot water does wonders

You can also have Halls Soothers which I found a godsend when I had a tickly cough and there is a Boots honey and glycerine liquid that you can have as well, probably best to ask the pharmasist in a Boots I reckon!

I had tonisillitis twice when I was pregnant and was told that its ok to use Dequa Spray (like the Chloraseptic spray). I think you can only use it for a max of 3 days or something.
