After you've worn it?

I got married last year and said to my dh something about wearing my dress again at some point (it's more ball gown-y than wedding-y) and he was really funny about it, i think he's more sentimental about my wedding dress than I am! :loco:

seems a shame to only wear it once though, twas very pretty

Now see this is the thing taht worries me about spending lots on a dress it seems so much money for a dress i shall never wear again but I can't see myself wanting to sell it.

I agree we need to see pics of yours

I got my dress at the weekend and was determined not to spend a fortune on it and thankfully I didn't. What my friend did after their wedding was get it made into a christening gown for their baby. I think that is a really good idea and I hope to do the same with mine:thumb:

I :lurve: my dress although I don't get to see it very often as it is at my parents house as it doesn't fit in our wardrobe. It was a ballgown too rather than a wedding dress but I can't imagine wearing it again.

When we were little my sister and I played dressing up in our mums so maybe if I have girls (or boys ) I'll let them do the same.

I like the idea of making a christening gown out of it but we're not religious so won't be having our children (if we're lucky enough to have them) christened.

I love my wedding dress and wore it to a medieval banquet a couple of years back as it's that kind of style. However, it does need a good clean - it has a bit of a grease spot on the front - but I'm reluctant to fork out for cleaning.

Neither of us liked my dress  It's sort of a sore subject. The one I wanted didn't arrive in time for the wedding. I like the idea of making it into something else though - I probably couldn't get it past my knees now - I weighed 2 stone less back then!
