Hi Mummies (and daddies  )

Just wanted to big up this model village for taking your wee ones too.

It was faberoony. Just off J2 of the M40, it took us only half an hour to get to it, and Lulah Loved it! :cheer2: :cheer2: You should have seen her face, she was just a picture of ecstasy! :ellie: :ellie: :ellie: :brainache: :brainache: :brainache:

It was reasonable (around £5 for us each and £3 for Lulah) and we also went on the wee train (50p).

It was just great, and we had a pub lunch at a pub recommended in the Good Pub guide which was just off the M40.

If you get a chance, go there. It's about 5 min walk from the train station too!

We went there a few months ago, S loved the trains so we spent the whole time running around trying to work out where they would appear next!

We took Lex there last summer with my parents.

I used to got there loads when I was a child and it was great taking him around and remembering it from when I was little. I always loved the miniature train going around the village and the fire as well.

They have added the play area which is great too. We were there during the week and think it's a favourite for the after school crowd,

Glad you enjoyed it as it's somewhere I'm planning on taking Lex to again as only 20 mins from my parents.

OOoooh, I grew up in Beaconsfield and my parents still live there. We haven't taken Lexie yet and I'm soooo looking forward to doing so. Glad Lulah enjoyed it Minky, going to sort out a date to go now!

Someone else I know has recommended this to me as being excellent - must remember to put it on our list of things to do over the summer.

Ooh, that brings back memories! My parents' photo album has lots of photos of me there aged about two. I enjoyed watching the trains and towering over the cottage roofs. Isn't it called Beaconscot or something similar?
