Well Jen may or may not have become a little too reliant on Medised to get her to sleep (nothing to do with me needing sleep of course  ) so I have decided to make her go cold turkey

Night 1: She slept for 1/2 hour then was awake until 9pm. She finally slep until 3am then kept waking until 5am. Woke 7.20am.

Night 2: Slept until 12.20am, went back off after some water, then woke again 3-5am. Woke 6.50am.

Night 3 (last night): Definitely teething so had Calpol at 5pm. Slept until 3.30am (spot the pattern  Temp was up. Really tempted to give her Medised as I was sooooo knackered- but gave her Calpol instead. Went back to sleep at 4.30am. Woke at 6am & came in with me. Slept until 9am :ellie:

So that is where we are. I think already she is getting herself back of to sleep better in the evening, it is just the early hours I need to tackle. If she is not teething then she just has a drink of water & I lay her down again. She moans for ages & eventually cries, but I did this at the beginning of the year & she eventually got the meesage that I wasn't playing!

I will try & keep this updated this week before we go away. I really hope to get her sleeping better by the time we go away as the last thing I want is to have to drug her to get out of the hotel room!

Poor Jen. Hope that the detox goes relatively smoothly- you dont want to be going on your hols with massive bags under your eyes!

If it was me I would probably wait until AFTER the holiday to start the detox because at least you'll get some rest on your jollies and not be up every night. But then I am evil Mummy mwah mwah mwah!!

Day 4: Was much better. She went straight to sleep & only woke once, at 1.20am.

I really hope we crack this before we go away, although I'm sure she will thrown out of whack again being in a strange place.

I know what you mean Sunshine & I did think about it...and may well resort back to the old bottle on holiday if she gets bad- BUT I just decided enough was enough. I think her sleep problems have been a combination of me relying too much on the Medised and getting relaxed about how I deal with her when she wakes in the night.

Having gone back to being strict, she is definitely waking less. The first night, between 3 & 5am she must have woken 5 or 6 times, but last night only once! :ellie:

The only thing that is peeing me off is DH  . I am bloody knackered & have asked him to do breakfast for the past 4 days so I can go back to sleep. He has been "too busy" though- i.e. He needs a lie in more than me, or he gets up 5 mins after I have & potters about.. by the time he is ready for work he could have done the bloody breakfast afterall

Morning love!!!

Glad to hear the detox is still going well :ellie::ellie:

DH is norty!!! Tell him he will not be allowed to come and stay at my house and visit his beloved Anfield if he does not shape up and be nicer to you. Tell him I might have looked nice yesterday but I can be really  if I need to :teehee::teehee:

Day 5: Hmmmm spoke too soon!

I'm sure she isn't relying on the Medised to sleep now but I bloody am! She was awake from 10.30pm- 1am last night :faint:

I was sooooo tempted to give her some so I could get some shut eye. I didn't cave though- Calpol only.

Bloody Molars! :hissyfit:

DH did breakfast this morning finally but neglected to stop her shouting for me at the bottom of the stairs, therefore waking me up anyway.

Bloody Men! :hissyfit:
