Just heard this on the news.
It's only a few miles from here and makes it all the more scary cos my son is almost the same age.

That is so awful:shock: - why are there so many sick people out there?!!!!!

Things like this scare the shite out of me. I really wonder what sort of world we will live in when Lola is a teenager.
Every day there is something shocking and disturbing in the news.

The most shocking thing for me was my reaction to it. I was shocked and disgusted and then I realised that if I'd heard that a female had been raped, although I would have reacted it wouldn't have been anywhere near as strongly.
This is because I feel we are so used to females being raped nowadays that it no longer shocks. What a terrible reflection of society if my reaction is the norm, which I hope it's not.

I feel the same Angie. It must be awful for anyone to be raped, but sadly, female rape is an everyday occurrence, so this seems more shocking. In reality, all rape is dreadful.

There seems to be so much stuff going on here, like stabbings rapes and murders at the mo its scarey
