Nursing cushion, and visiting my friend the other day I used hers for feeding Theo and it was fab.
She got it from Great little trading company, so I looked there and found it, and I LURVE the cow print one, and tried to order it, but it says it is out of stock and wont be available again:(

I really don't want the blue gingham one, so I'm asking if anyone has seen a cushion like this- with a non-gingham cover?
I don't know many baby product websites.
And I'd rather not get the Blooming Marvellous one as it's £40

Many thanks ladies :D

Ps: this is the GLTC one that I wanted

don't know if it helps, but i have a pattern to make one of these - i made it by hand (took an evening) but then you could have it in any colour you want. v v simple to do - must have been if i could do it!

hang on, will see if there's a pattern on the web, otherwise i am happy to copy and send to you

Ohh thanks everyone :)

We'll pop to babiesrus tomorrow or if they don't have them, make out way to Argos :)

I'd love to make one, but don't have a sewing machine and has never ever made anything by hand, so I wouldn't trust myself to do something like that- although good idea @ Bisy...

Miss S, i make soft furnishings part time so if you did want to go down that route and pick yr own material, assuming we could find a satisfactory pattern, i would be happy to do it for you at a similar shop bought price.

Miss S - I recently won a brand new one on ebay (with the cute cow piccy) and it came to £16 incl delivery. I know that Boots.com were doing them - here we are http://www.boots.com/shop/product_details.jsp?productid=1063315&classificationid=1040248&slmRefer=000 Postage is usually free over £40 - I'm sure you'll be able to find other things you need  And their delivery is very speedy ;-)
I really really like it as it is a lot firmer than the one I got from Grobag (the same as the one from Blooming Marvellous - it's got lots of beans inside which has been a godsend for sleeping but wasn't easy to use to position James).

Shamu, I know what u mean about the beans inside, I've seen some really half empty ones, which is why I don't want to take a chance and buy one I haven't tried.
I'll look on e-bay now cheers ;)

fantassee, you should make them and sell them you know, it would take 2 seconds flat with a machine and cost you next to nothing. (i was even thinking of getting a machine to do just that but i'd have to sell a hell of a lot of cushions...)

i filled mine with foam by the way, nice and firm and doesn't go saggy.

can't wait to try it out with the new babs

Bisy you are quite right, there is a definite niche there and i have loads of wadding and all different brightly coloured fabrics ready to go. If you have a pattern you could link me to i just might give it a shot and see if there are any bites of the cherry on ebay :burger:

And if you google Widgey nursing pillow you get loads of other websites too.

well i did search for a pattern but couldn't find anything appropriate unfortunately (apparently they're called boppy pillows in america...)

but the pattern is so easy, its basically two halves of a croissant, i think one is slightly bigger than the other so that the bottom is flatter - i'm sure if you're in that kind of game already you could design a pattern that works - just make a croissant sized croissant looking one then when you get it right make a life sized one!

i first saw them at a sleep training class where there were all different sizes so it wouldn't really matter.

hmmm, sorry i can't be more helpful but i shall look out for them on ebay, you can't lose imo! good luck, let us know if you get anywhere with it, i think its a fab idea.
