Can anyone advise/suggest anything?

Callum sleeps through the night from 7:30pm until about 6:45am so about 11hrs. Up until now he's then been going for a morning nap at 9:30am for 45-1hr and again at 1pm for an hour ish. The childminder says he isn;t taking his afternoon nap and doesn't really seem tired. I've followed the contented little baby since about 3months and she suggests that baby's should have 3hrs during the day.

Do you think C just doesn't need it, I know all babys are different?

Harry has similar sleep times to Callum but some days he won't sleep in the day either - I just figure if he's tired he'll drop off eventually but TBH, if he hasn't slept since 10/10:30am I do try & get him to nap around 4pmish otherwise come teatime onwards he's awful!
Or I do try & put him down after his 2:30pm bottle as that makes him a bit sleep & he will sometimes nod off after a bit of grizzling so might be worth asking the CM to try to put him down later.
So, no real help but I'm pretty sure they do still need daytime sleeps at this age.

C has his afternoon bottle at 2:30/2:45, the CM can't put him down after that cos she has the school run to do and then I collect him at 4.

She's going to try reducing his morning nap or not putting him down at all and then seeing how he feels for the afternoon nap.

My friends little boy stopped having an afternoon nap at about 9 months and it never came back, even though he shows signs of tiredness he just won't nap anymore!

I must admit though he's not been particularly cranky with the lack of sleep, even at tea time (although he can have his moments), I guess I'll just see how he goes.

Thanks

It was about 9-10 months that we had to play around with Lotties naps. She was going down for the morning one (about 10.30-11.00) fine but fighting the afternoon one so much that she wasn't getting any more sleep. After trying a couple of things we decided that obviously 1 nap a day was sufficent so we jigged it so that she went till lunchtime (12.30-1.00) before we put her down and she could have a longer nap and then go on no problem to bedtime. It generally has worked very well
