I don't really know what I do anymore!

I used to be our Company's Book Keeper, etc but we have been taken over and my position has changed, but I don't really know what to!

Actually, I'm happy plodding along, doing Accounting bits and bobs and relishing not being under pressure.

Excluding student jobs etc

1) First graduate job was as a commercial manager for a very well known high street store

2) Executive head hunter - I hated it

3) IT consultant for an international management consultancy (still here well on Mat leave but officially still employed)

I'm a surgical nurse, currently thinking of a job change though, as I'm sick of NHS. But stacey your job is spectacular. Without care assistants, the NHS/ nursing homes would grind to a shuddering halt, believe me!

:faint: lucky Mr Icclebunny! :teehee:

I met him after a staff meeting - I was doing Promo and trying to flog him some tickets to a VIP night :teehee:

I have a lot of admiration for the care workers, I dont have the patience or aptitude for that type of work, my best mate is a care worker and she puts in so many hours for (what I think) is far too little pay for what she's doing. She rocks!

I work as a microbiologist in a University lab. Now that I'm working part time it's a mixture of research and paperwork.

Between Uni and my current job I spent a couple of years temping and did a number of different jobs including;

Mail sorter at in the accounts department of a large hardware chain
Office junior at an estate agents (got to do a bit of the selling too).
Receptionist/Administrator at an Insolvency ServiceI found all of the temping work interesting, particularly learning about bankruptcy and house sales. It taught me a thing or two anyhow!

I've never actually had a proper job.

In school I used to make jewellery and sell it to local gift shops and craft fairs.
Then through college and for a bit after I worked as a freelance graphic designer.
Then OH and I set up our own business and I've been doing that for the past 7 years.

TBH the thought of working for someone else kind of scares me now.

I've had a variety of jobs. I was a Woolies shop girl, then I worked in a boutique which sold HUGELY overpriced clothes, then I was a fruit & veg assistant at Asda (tres glam!!). I did enjoy Asda though as I used to cover the florist too so got to make up bouquets and stuff.

Then I was a journalist (very short lived!) then fell into secretarial and then PA work where my last 3 jobs have been for a top 10 city law firm, head office of one of the top banks and now an international security company.

I am currently on sick leave/maternity leave and am training to be a childminder.
