Toddler Bed

I am going to buy Sasha her first bed soon and the one I like needs a mattress that is 70cm x 160cm. Does anyone know at what age she will outgrow this bed ? I have no idea !

Is anyone going from a cot, straight to a normal single size bed ?

I'd say that would last until they are 4-5. My son is just outgrowing his now.

If we ever move we'll probably just go straight for a single bed. James will be over 3 so wouldn't get that long out of a toddler bed (well, not enough to justify the expense twice over!)
There are some beds that are single size but can be made smaller (eg Ikea and Mothercare)
