Hi

Can I be nosey and ask what music you had/or will have - at your wedding ceremony. I'm thinking for of a civil ceremony than religious.

So was your processional/recessional (been looking at too many wedding websites  )
music - traditional or modern?

I had a harpist at my first wedding. It was in a stately home so kind of fitted in nicely. Couldn't for the life of me tell you what she played though. Second one was whatever they had on the tape recorder at the register office :meh:

While our guests were waiting they listened to Piano Concerto No2 by Rachmaninoff (the theme from my all time fave film, Brief Encounter)

We walked in together to the George Michael version of First Time Ever I Saw Your Face

While we were signing the register we played this !! Not to everyones taste but it was second time around for both of us and it's Mr D's favourite Who song

Even 7 years later, hearing it takes me right back there

We had a registry office ceremony and had a lovely Scottish fiddle tune my sil and her friend had written and recorded for us specially. My sil also wrote out a music sheet of 'our' tune and framed it. Very personal and lovely

No idea what we would have chosen otherwise. I'm particularly unromantic about things like that!

We had a civil ceremony.

I walked down the isle to Canon in D

We signed the register to So Amazing by Luther Vandross and Air I breathe Reprise by Simply Red (not everyone's taste I know but I love them!)

Walked back down the isle to Signed Sealed Delivered by Stevie Wonder which had everyone smiling and dancing along as we jigged down the isle, it was fab!

Same here Mrs D, 7.5 years later and I'm right back at my wedding day when I listen to them  Remember that Moose when you are choosing, pick tracks that are meaningful to you as you will remember them for a lifetime.

If we ever do get married (unlikely, 16 years unmarried so far :thumb:), Adele 'One and only' has to figure somewhere.

We had a civil wedding, i walked down the aisle to some classical music - can't even remember what it was now!

While we were signing the register we had 'More Than Words' by Extreme and 'Endless Love' by Lionel Richie and Diana Ross(?) and we walked out to 'We go Together' the last song in the Grease film:grin:

One of our close friends sang "come away with me" while another friend played the guitar. Had everyone in tears.

We're having all modern songs Moose. Currently:

Walking in: Florence and the Machine - You've got the love
Signing: Stevie Wonder - Sign Sealed Delivered, Beatles - I wanna hold your hand
Walking out: Morcame and Wise - Bring me sunshine

Will probably change our mind come March though

Blimey, it's difficult isn't it - so many songs I love.

So far the ones I've got in mind are

Van Morrison - someone like you
Gary Moore - Falling in love with you
Savage Garden - Truly Madly Deeply

Our first dance will be - Whitesnake - Is this love (it's our song)

Bit of a rock theme going on

I walked down the aisle to this

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhat-xUQ6dw&ob=av2e

I had to time it to get to the bottom just as he sings "Standing next to you, in Silent Lucidity", just before the guitar solo kicked in, which meant about 2 mins of the song before I started walking!! Talk about nerve-racking!!!

We had Clannad during the meal

Moose - we had a rock theme too (other than the Clannad obv!!) Funny that being me, eh:lol:

This (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xw7i9zHf4dA&feature=fvst) was our first dance (our song!)

And this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xsoB9v6FJdo) was our second dance (I'd wanted to walk down the aisle to it originally but we compromised on having it as second dance)

I waltzed down the aisle to "Inside your Love" by Minnie Ripperton.... Soulful (and a bit seedy) but I love it. Then our first dance was "If you want me to stay" by Sly and the Family Stone.
