So im having martini glasses as my centre peices...
The lady doing my flowers could only get 50cm ones in height which were just way to small...
I managed to find 75cm ones at a wedding fayre but again felt they were abit to small & have no found someone near me that hires them out at 96cm (almost 1 metre) :faint:
Now i cant visualise these on a table & i would have 10 of them with having 10 tables.Of course im going for the :wow: factor & i dont think it would look OTT the bigger the better & all that???
I just want them out of peoples view when they are sat down so wanted them high enough but dont no if 96cm is to high??
What do you think?

I'm sorry, I'm no help at all... but couldn't help picturing you doing a "Dita Von Teese" as your party piece!

No I don't think it will be too high. You don't want to be able to block people talking to each other if it's too low. Plus if they are higher you can have flowers cascading down, depending on what flowers / foilage you have.

I think they sound great! Like you say, they will give wow factor but people will still be able to talk across the table when they're sitting down.

I don't want to say to much as I have people from here coming to my wedding.. That's why I can't post piccies of my dress & say to much about the day itself

I'd say the higher the better. I went to a wedding once that had the most amazing flowers in the middle of each table. The problem was they were at eye level which meant you couldn't see the person opposite to talk to them. If they had been higher up they would still have been wow but you would've been able to see across the table and I imagine a tall stem of a martini glass will achieve that.

I had really tall centrepieces, not sure how high exactly, but it looked fab (I think!). Have you measured the height off a table to see how high it would look?
We had 90cm tall wrought iron candle sticks with giant church candles in and trailing ivy and white flowers on our tables and they didn't look too tall. They were tall enough to be out of people's faces while they were eating and chatting but not ridiculously tall iyswim

i think they will be fab - personally i think decorations should be really high or really low - i cant be doing with something faffy in the centre which means i cant join in with all the chat
Now all I can see are martini glasses being advertised down the side toolbar:lol:
