Oops! How bad is this please?

I have just changed the filter in my Brita water jug, and realised that I didn't do the two run-throughs where you throw away the water. I remember shaking the filter around in clean water, then filled it up once. I then forgot and poured J and me a glass each. We've both drunk it...

Is there some kind of chemical that comes out? Is is really bad for you? Or for a child? I've been using these things for about twenty years and have no idea why I had such an aberration!

I've been using a Brita filter jug for years and never even knew you were meant to do that - don't worry!

Ah, that's what I wanted to hear! Thanks Mrs B :flowers: I notice there are a few grainy bits in the bottom of the jug so hopefully it's more about that, than about poisoning oneself and one's daughter...
