I feel a bit silly asking this question tbh.

The gum at the left end of my bottom row of teeth is REALLY sore and achy, and getting worse by the day. It's in the space next to my end tooth, iyswim.

I assumed that at the grand old age of 33 (and a half ) I had all my teeth, but I'm wondering if this might be a wisdom tooth coming through.

Not been to the dentist for AGES so need to get myself off to there, but thought I'd ask (as it will take ages for me to get an appointment anyway).

TIA.x

How many teeth do you have in that quarter? If you've 7 teeth chances are it's a wisdom trying to pop through. Warm salty water is quite soothing, and keeps the area clean.

My SIL is older than you and has a wisdom tooth coming through at the moment! I said I'd get her a dribble bib :teehee:

Ooo HORRID. But - big bonus - if it's coming through and sore, and the Dentist takes it out, it will hurt less than if it's impacted. That's hell....

Thanks all,

Yes Solitaire, I have 7 on the bottom left (but 8 on the top left - why did I not think to count them?!)

Hmm could be in for an achy few weeks (months??).

 at Damsella. Good idea - I'll borrow one of my baby's bibs.
