Twitching Eye

My eye has been twitching since this morning and it's really annoying me now. I've even been for a nap this afternoon, woken up and it's still not gone.

Not much anyone can do about it just needed to rant :smile:

I get this when I am tired, it drives me nuts and sometimes it lasts for days! My OH swears by drinking Brewers Yeast (Vit B). Personally I can't stand the taste :no:

I've googled twitching eye online and one cause of it consuming too much caffeine. I'm wondering if this is true in my case as I did drink a fair bit of coffee this morning and my eye was fine until then. Think I'll be taking it easy on the caffeine intake from now on.

You have my sympathies. My eye twitched for weeks this summer just gone. It sounds wierd but I think mine was due to having very dry eyes - I was suffering with hayfever really bad (as I do every year) and practically mainlining antihistamines which were drying my eyes out. Hence I was rubbing them a lot, and having the dreaded eye twitch.

I was always told that it is normally down to stress. When you are stressed about something you temd not to breath properly hence causing muscle spasms. This generally is the case for me, when I am stressed out. Hope it stops soon :higgies:

I get it when I'm really stressed out too, and it is very annoying (the longest I've had it is a couple of days, but it doesn't normally last that long).

I get a twitchy eye when stressed and tired, once it lasted on and off for about 2 weeks, drove me mad!

Funnily enough it's always the same eye as well, it's also that eye that I get eye infections in. Weird!!

I had it for ages :hissyfit: but it was all stress related. Started the day I found out my mum was poorly and lasted for 6 months - on and off - until she lost her fight last June :-(. Was always the same eye, and do you know what? I hadn't even realised that it had gone until you posted this. Not sure that it's a cloud and silver lining situation, as I'd rather have the cloud, but wierd that I hadn't noticed! Hope yours goes by morning:nod:!:wink:
