My OH's boss's daughter is 9 or 10 years old and I'm such a fuddy duddy and have completely lost touch on what's hip these days.

Can someone point me in the right direction of christmas presents for girls around this age pleeeeeeease???

They don't live anywhere near us chick and I've asked my OH to speak to his boss several times to ask but he keeps 'forgetting' i.e. isn't interested and can't be arsed.

I tend to get kids that age gift vouchers or give them cash to spend after Christmas.

I'm taking a walk down to Woolies just now so if nothing pops out at me I'll just get her vouchers. I'm getting them for my brother's 4 kids anyway.

My niece is about 12, but for the past few years, I've got her little make up sets that she seems happy with.

Do you know if she's got an ipod??? cos in Sainsbury's the other day I saw you can buy itunes gift cards to 'buy' download tunes.

Good suggestions but I went along to Woolies and just bought her some crafty type things and a fairy birthday book/address book. Came to £15 in the end so that'll do her.

Thanks again for the suggestions.

Oh damn, wish I'd seen this earlier! I was going to suggest Bratz dolls - my stepdaughter and niece love these.

I think you made good choices though.

Glad they still like Bratz at 10, my DD is 8 next week and she's really into bratz but I wasn't sure what age she would be 'too big' for dolls!
