right, my parents are adament that we don't get them anything this year (due to being broke, new baby on the way, me on mat pay) so I've decided at very least to do stocking stuffers for them because otherwise they won't fill each others stockings and I know it's my mums favourite bit so I don't want them to get left out (my sister most definitely won't do it).

Anyway, I'm completely STUMPED on what to get for my dad.

So far I've got:
wee slicer thing for opening cd/dvd/packaging
book
Proclaimers Cd (don't ask, he WILL like it though)

My dad is into Monty Python/Star Trek/Golf however I've bought loads of those types of things over the last few years, so don't really feel I can go that route unless its something particularly fabulous.

Ideas?

What about one of those personalised calenders?

They're BOGOF on photobox.com at the moment, as are the photobooks.

I hate buying for my dad as he doesn't like traditional 'dads' gifts!

If he likes golf how about some nice golf balls and tee's. On www.iwoot.com they've got a remote control golf ball...novelty sand nifty at same time

I normally do nice food bits. Jars of chutney, dates etc. It can all be done in one trip to Sainsburys, or you could go to Jenners Food Hall, or Valvonna and Crolla.

why would my dad want that??

thanks for some ideas gals, I don't really have time to order things off the net now though as I need them by Thursday in order to make the cutoff date for posting.

Did think last night some hankies might be good as he uses them (yuck!) and some socks can't go wrong.

I need to find wee jars of marmalade or something...the regular sizes are too big to mail as they are heavy. I tried Baxters yesterday as they had them last year but has anyone seen them this year yet?

Tesco and Boots have their Christmas minatures in now. I haven't seen jam/marmalade but I'm sure they did them last year.

What about something made by LO?

ooh, I did get a minature whisky too, forgot about that!

Will check Tesco's tomorrow, there is one not too far from us.

I did also get a Christmas Decoration making kit for Logan for his stocking but I could open it now and make them with him. One for my mum and one for my dad I suppose!
