OK, I'm having 4 friends over on Sat night, two couples, and need to decide on a main course. We'll be having spiced tomato and lentil soup (not definite, but will defo be soup) to start, which is fairly light (should I serve this with anything? Though don't want to serve bread). I'm doing baileys and white choc cheesecake for dessert, so would like a main course that fits in with these dishes, but isn't too heavy. Obviously needs to be v.tasty, impressive would be good too, and even something that can be prepped earlier in the day would be a help. Also can't be too difficult as I've never cooked for 6 before.

Not asking much am I?!  Any ideas appreciated

I think you want something quite light with the B&WCC to follow. Fish, meat or veggie?

If meat, how about something chickeny - Thai green chicken curry is light and spicy.

Fish - Salmon? Sea bass? Baked fish stuffed with herbs? Then you can get it ready and shove in the oven when you serve the starter. You could make a potato dish in advance and just heat it up and serve with salad.

Veggie - sweet pototo, avocado and tofu salad.

If any of these take your fancy, let me know and I can post more details.
