Hi Carrie,

I've just been on the Avent website and the fastest teat they do is their Fast Flow which has 4 holes. I'm not sure which ones you are using but can you count the holes in it?

Hmm maybe it's worth trying the Avent ones or another brand they may be faster??

Sorry not much help am I! :( Livvy is a gulper and she's only on the Avent number 3 (medium flow) I would think that number 4 is pretty fast. I'd buy a couple of different brands and just try them to see if they're any better that the brand you're using at the mo.

At least she's trying to gulp it down! :)

Ooh and what's the milk called I'll do a trawl for you and see if I can find anything!

I used to use crossvalve teats with my older daughters. They open to varying sizes depending on how hard the baby sucks. I'll have a look to see if they still sell them.

They're called variflow teats and mothercare do their own brand. Maws also do them.

Enfamil is a "stay down" milk and will be a bit thicker so she may well need bigger teats
I'd say the variflow teats are your best option - most brands (Tommee Tippee, Avent, Dr B's etc etc) do them

cheers shamu we have noticed the milk is like milk (watery) when its quiet warm she seems ok with it so far today i think cause she was so hungry last night and tired the teats kept turning inside out... other than that im gonna have to go buy a shed load of new bottles... cause ive only got the standard bottles with clear teats...
our lass we tried variflow...she hated them...
blue cow the milk is in english writing but when i looked on a site it says it came from america...i cant find anything else on it..
thank you again all x

Which bottles do you have Dora? You can use any manufacturers teats on any bottle iyswim. eg Tommee Tippee wide neck teats will fit Avent bottles and vice versa. Obviously you can't use narrow neck teats with wide neck bottles though ;) If you have narrow neck bottles, the Nuk teats are currently being recommended by my local midwives - but each to their own.
The milk will probably flow better when warm - a pain when you're out and about but if it stops her taking in too much air that is a good thing.
