I'm going to my friend's wedding at the end of the month, and I have no idea what to get them! I keep asking her via email, but she's not answering   And I can't do vouchers as they live in Italy.
So, those of you in the know, can you please help me out? What pressies are pointless, and what were the best ones you received?
I probably have a budget of about £50.
Thanks! :flowers:

How about a nice bottle of champagne and 2 glasses? you can dress it up a bit and it'll be the perfect gift once they've finished opening all their gifts.

Try and avoid photo frames! I know it's everyones first idea but you can get tooo many!!
While you are over for the wedding, esp if you have a few days beforehand, could you go to their favourite local restaurant and get a voucher for a meal there which they could use at a later ddate when all the wedding fever has cooled down?

We were so spoiled with wedding presents it's hard to know where to start. Some of our favourites were:
holiday vouchers which we used to go away for our first anniversary.
nice champage :champers: and some lovey crystal glasses that I'm a bit too nervous to drink out of
A coffee pot, with hand thrown cups and saucers and some nice coffee and biscuits
A pair of goats and a brood of chickens (from Oxfam)
Also lots of our family and friends helped out on the day too so it might be worth asking your friend if there is something you could do as a present?
I also love dingbatsbird idea of vouchers/meal out at a nice restaurant when they return

I love this idea for a wedding present:

It is giving someone else the chance of a new start in life. I would have been so happy with something from here.
If they are actually Italian, have to warn you that most people will give them cash in an envelope, it's tradition there.

Ah-ha. Donna is English, Vince is Italian, and the wedding is in Italy. Maybe we should just do that then :scratchchin:
Thanks for that Mrs B!
