Asparagus

A quick question can I roast/oven bake it? We are having oven baked chicken and veg tonight I have baby courgetts peppers new pots parsnips but when i went into town earlier on aspargus was only 80p for a large bunch, I can cook it on its own if i have too i just wondered if I could put it in with all the other veg in the roasting tin.

I probably wouldn't put it in with the other veg, it would be mush by the time it's done. I usually roast my asparagus! With salt pepper and a bit of olive oil on a cookie sheet. I only do it for about 10 mins or less though. I don't like mine well done.

If I am feeling healthy, I steam asparagus.

If not, I put a spoonful of olive oil (or less) in a VERY hot frying pan and toss them around until they are done (few bits charred but not burnt). Then sprinkle loads of maldon sea salt.

I wouldn't bake them either. :)
