Ok, so I have this friend. Tbh, I feel I'm more of a friend to her than she is to me. It's her birthday soon and I've not bought anything yet.

She bought me what I would consider a joke pressie for my birthday. On her last birthday I bought her a really nice spa day voucher.

I know you don't give to receive, but I was a bit miffed tbh with my pressie. So, I really don't know what to get her. I won't be seeing her on her birthday so it's something I need to give her beforehand.

Any suggestions gratefully received:smile:

Hello love

I would be miffed too at a "joke" present!!

I would maybe just get her something not too big, what about a gift set from Next or something.

A voucher for a spa day sounds lovely and it sounds like she did not appreciate it!!

I'd be none to impressed with a 'joke' present after putting so much thought into my gift to her.

Does she like cooking or have a hobby? Could you get her a book about something she enjoys?

Gift set is a nice idea. Not too expensive but not naff either.

My so called 'best' friend is like that too...i didn't even have a card for my birthday because she 'could'nt be bothered coming over to drop it off'

I'd personally not get anything grand for her maybe just get her some cheap smellies and a basket and just present it nicely.

Or like other posters have said get her a joke present!!

Good idea!

She bought me a glass half full glass for pessimists. I know it was tongue in cheek but I felt like she was laughing at me a taking the p. Especially when I'd thought long and hard about the gift I got her:sigh:

Anyway, I got her a box of green and blacks in Tesco and will get some flowers or something to go with it.

Ohhh you're too nice! She deserves nothing but a pair of comedy breasts or similar. Moobag.
