HELP - urgent postage question? Please

Hi, An auction of mine has just ended and the buyer turns out to be in Guernsey. The item weighs 1.25kg and is going to cost £7.40 to post, of course prat that I am I only had £5.25 in my postage for UK. I haven't sent him an invoice yet but should I up my postage to £7.40 or just learn by my mistake? :doh:

PS I do have a note at the bottom for overseas buyers to email first but he probably won't class himself as overseas :no:

Just change the postage amount on the invoice - I never have a problem doing this. People bidding outside of mainland UK expect this. You could add a message to explain at the same time.

Is it not in the UK? There isn't a seperate destination for either Guernsey or The Channel Islands on the Royal Mail website.

That's what I thought Noo Noo but it is listed in the drop down box for overseas. It seems parcels can only go special next day delivery :doh: .

He has just emailed me asking for my address to post a cheque.

Looks like my ebay listings are going pear shaped another item today I mis-calculated, so added to this I will be at least £3.50 down - not a huge amount but :doh: :oops:
