i bought a dress from m and s in two sizes to see which would fit. i kept the smaller size (yippee!) and was going to return the bigger size. in the meantime the small size went to half price in the sale so i bought another at half price with the intention of retunring the two hihgher price ones. i have just sent them back with the dispatch note and they have only refunded me one dress half price and one full price.
would you complain?
Thanks P

I'd have probably returned them instore, with the delivery note showing the the full price. Online transactions will all be done automatically, and the cheapest price paid for a product will be the default for a refund.
It's worth your while pointing out the discrepancy between the delivery note and the amount refunded though. If you don't ask...
agreed  well worth an email to them.

I'd phone them. They're normally really good at sorting stuff like this.

I would definitely complain. It's irrelevant that you bought the item at a cheaper price as well. You paid £20 (or whatever) for two items. You returned those two items. You should get the £20 back because that's what you paid (and presumably what it said on the dispatch note). To not return the full amount is outrageous!

I would definatly contact them about it as they should refund at the full price I think.

If you sent them back with the original dispatch note and within the allowed time, you should absolutely get back what you paid for them! It's totally irrelevant whether or not you bought it at a cheaper price - that's absolutely nothing to do with this transaction.
Or even whether or not it's cheaper now - they must refund you what you paid for them. (so long as you've adhered to the rest of their t's and c's!)
I'd be bloody livid!

What kat said, don't they even look at their despatch note/invoice when they're processing returns then?!

As it was Distance Selling, they have by law to give you at least 7 days to inspect and refund you at the full price you paid regardless of any sales kicking in. Or perhaps for a number of days longer per their policy, for example, Next were 14 days until they cut it back to the statutory 7 days.. Grrrr. If you returned past this date, you may well find in their T&Cs that they then only refund at the current selling price for that item, and I am afraid, it will stick!!
ALWAYS worth a try though!!!
ETA... just had a look see...
You have 35 days for a full refund.
Past this time, refund at last selling price, so, sale price.
Get giving grief girl!!!
