View Full Version : 7yr Old Boy - Birthday Ideas Please
DS hasn't asked for anything for his Birthday. It is just over a month away so I could do with getting some ideas together.
Help!
Don't know what he already has but:
bike
scooter
skateboard
lego set
hand held games console
books
cd's/dvd's
Thank:
Bike: not out grown the one he has yet, got it the Xmas before last.
Scooter: no need to replace.
Skateboard: not sure, plays with them in TK Maxx but not sure he'd want one.
Lego set: possibility, he did mention a Power Miners set.
Console: Got a PSP as a shared pressie with his Dad at Christmas but with the weather being good he'd rather be outside. Dad has a wii which he can use but he said he doesn't want a game for that.
Books: I am going to get the Roald Dahl box set as he has had a few read to him at school.
CDs: we have Black Eyed Peas & Paulo Whats His Name, he doesn't like anyone else yet.

 Tricky buggers aren't they!
How about a trampoline if you have a garden?
ETA: Arty stuff or games like monopoly etc?

Job lot of Match Attack cards?
Trampoline?
Wii Fit? I know you said he doesn't want a game but its good fun.
Football goal?
There is loads of Power Miners stuff, DS3 got quite a bit for Christmas.
I just got DS3s friend a rocket thing from Hawkins Bazaar http://www.hawkin.com/find/product-is-12794 which my kids adored in the shop.
I have got another of the kids friends a table top football game.
Subscription to Club Penguin?
I just asked my DS3 and he said cash!! Mercenary child!

Cheapie MP3 player? Has a cheapy one.
Job lot of Match Attack cards? Tries to like football because his friends do but doesn't really like it.
Trampoline? My parents have one, our garden is on a slope so can't.
Wii Fit? I know you said he doesn't want a game but its good fun. I got one for DH at Christmas the year before last. It gets used in the winter but not when they can get outside.
Football goal? Not really interested

Subscription to Club Penguin? What is this?
I just asked my DS3 and he said cash!! Mercenary child! He'd want to spend it on plastic tat in TK Maxx toy section.

Keep the ideas coming as I'm stuck!
You have my sympathies !
A is 7 on Tuesday and it's been a nightmare trying to get ideas from him.
Luckily he's really into his football which has helped us but otherwise it's been Toy Story Lego, my Mum bought him a cheapy digital camera and my brother is getting him the wooden footie game from John Lewis.
I've asked some friends for vouchers so he can choose something after his birthday.
It's a nightmare. I know another friend has got him some Roald Dahl books and my inlaws have got him a subscription to Kick magazine - maybe something to think about, not necessarily footie one though !!
How about something like Boggle ? We got that a few months ago and Alex loves it.
There are also some Lego games about which as faves here too.

Sorry, I only just got to come back to this so its probably far too late but Club Penguin is a kids online game, http://www.clubpenguin.com/ they can only "chat" with the built in words so they can't reveal real names or locations, loads of kids at our school love it and they all arrange to meet up there after school!
:)
Subscription to a comic?
DS1 gets The Beano and Match of the Day footy one (he gets 6 months for his b'day and 6 months for Christmas)
