I haven't made one for ages and I have a craving for it atm. I need some inspiriation or I'll end up making my old standards, broccoli and cheese or leek and bacon. Ideas please? :flowers:

Quiche is one of my all time favourite foods (if not my actual favourite :eating:) as a rule I will go with a standard cheese & onion but I also think goats cheese & red pepper is delicious.

Salmon and asparagus

Or

My sister does a gorgeous baked bean (I know!) quiche, which has grated carrot in it. It was in a children's cook book she or I was given when were young and she's been making it since she was about 9.

I just like the original one, pancetta and emmental cheese .

Now unlike Aurora I'm not a quiche fan at all.

And as pastry is not my forte I've never cooked it.

But I did have not long ago the most divine quiche in the world and I could have eaten the entire lot!

Caremlised red onion and feta :hungry:

MMM Caramelised red onion and feta sounds awesome, as is salmon and asparagus.

I also like the basic quiche lorraine and caramelised onion and goat's cheese too.

I know it sounds rank, but it is sort of sweet and carroty. Haven't had it for years, but it sticks with me.

Don't make pastry :happyno: buy it ready rolled, even sleb chefs seem to do it.

Mmmmmm, caramelised red onion and feta it is! Thanks for all your ideas, there are a few more I'm going to try too. (think I'll give the baked bean one a miss and blame it on the fact that you can't get Heinz baked beans here   )

Cheese and onion here. I hate the ones with things like broccoli and tomato in, they just go all soggy :yuck:

I make lots of mini quiches so not sure how it'd work for a big one but I like

- black olive, pesto, moz and tomato
- onion and jalapeņo
- onion marmalade and White Stilton

And if course the original onion, bacon (v v crispy) and cheese.

I love goats cheese and caramelised onion and also roasted butternut squash with 'any' cheese.

If you get bored and need another feta option, try feta and pesto :lurve:

:woohoo: I'm so sorry I don't have a recipe to share  but one thing I did notice was they had a really thick gooey layer of caremlised red onion :hungry: on the base and then the eggy mix was poured on top with the feta dotted in.

 and sorry sparkliness - I'm sure it is lovely but baked beans are, off the top of my head (actually along with any other similar bean) the one thing that literally I can't swallow. I'm really not a carrot fan and combine that with my indifference to quiche and it's not a winner :teehee:
