Thanks everyone for all your helpful replies!
As Elise and I were staying out on Sat night, we decided to start CC last night. I forgot all about it (probably a good thing) til she started playing up at bedtime last night. So I decided to start at 3 mins, and prepared myself for a looooooong bedtime......

After the first 3 mins (and she was getting quite angry :-( ) I went in, laid her down, gave her her bedtime teddy, which she promptly put over her face, and went to sleep!!! :shock: :clap:
I said to OH that I thought it was a fluke, esp for the first night, but he's got it to contend with for the next 5 nights as I'm in work, so I'll keep you posted.
